Tried out a new pattern for 1911 holsters.

Decided to try out a different pattern tonight for a 1911 holster. Somewhat of a western style.

Never have used one of the machine stitchers, but then again that's not really saying a whole lot lol. I don't do enough to justify buying one of those.

I'm very impressed. If I could offer one but of hopefully constructive criticism, I would make it a bit longer on the trigger side to completely cover the trigger. It doesn't look like there's a lot of room but maybe enough for a rogue branch or something to slip in there.

Of course what with it being cocked and more importantly locked, it maybe a moot point.

Other than that I like it a whole lot.

I understand what you are saying with that. Some of the newer styles have the partially exposed triggers like that so I was shooting for that. If it were something that would be worn everyday I would have covered that up.

Looks good to me. I find your stitching really impressive.

 

Someone always chimes in with the uncovered trigger comment. How many cover the trigger when carrying a shotgun through bird country or sitting in a treestand with their trusty ought 6? I like a western flair to gun accessories.

Actually, it is atached with snaps, so you can take it off if you don't want it.
