I know I will get flamed probably for saying this but I believe alot of people hold it true. Do you want a chevy(Glock 30) or the Caddy? (Sig 220 Compact)

Yeah, the chevy starts, runs, and gets you from A to B. But the Caddy does all the same but in style. Biased yes, but Sigs are sexy

NOT TRYING TO DEFEND GLOCKS I CARRY AN XD BUT I CANT EVER REMEMBER A TIME WHEN I NEEDED A PRETTY HAMMER AT WORK.

Speaking of work, lol I guess its just me, but I am finishing concrete for the summer and when I was buying my hammer I could of bought a Stanley that would have done the same exact thing, but I bought the Estwing which was much prettier for 8 dollars more.

the estwing is a a better balanced hammer and built better IMO. also has better ergonomics to me.

kinda like XD is to glocks, estwing is just flat out better than stanley:popcorn:

Its been said, but here are my choices for sa/da 45 in your criteria:

-Sig 220 (my pick without a second blink)

-Taurus 24/7

-HK

As for non sa/da all brands have been mentioned, but I thought I'd add the Kahr CW45 in there. For the money, the small size and quality of this gun is a great bargain.

honestly i have never seen a pretty one nor ever needed one as long as it will drive a nail, you can buy pretty lacey ones with bells and whistles, but when the nail is flush it is flush it dont matter what hammer you drove it with. "not being a smart a-- just giving my oppinion." i would try an xd 45 sub compact i know you said d,a, the only real gun that i can think of that would fit your bill would be the springfield 1911 micro i think thats what it is called it is the subcompact 1911 from springfield i have shot one and was really impressed with the little guy.
