My birthday ain't till September but I just got my birthday present. .....now, I have to actually wait until two weeks before my birthday to actually get the gift, but that ain't her fault..............

September 5th I will be within (literally) SPITTING DISTANCE to the left hand side of the stage for
IRON MAIDEN and MEGADETH!!!!!!

They're ONLY doing 7 shows in the States! Seven shows in seven days and then they're going on a European tour.

I got tickets for the show in Nashville on the 5th.
First saw them in 1982 on the Number of the Beast tour here in Knoxville.

Should be an awesome show. I saw Megadeth with Slayer and Anthrax a couple of years ago...they were all great but Megadeth lit it up. Iron Maiden should be superb. Count me jealous.

Congrats.  That should be a great concert.  I was big Megadeth fan growing up, and still listen to them from time to time especially the Friedman era.  I was never all that much of a Maiden fan, and even though it is hated by most Maiden fans, I would have to say that Wasted Years is probably my all time favorite metal song.  I can listen to it over and over and never get tired of it.  Everything about it just seems perfect.

I was just informed tonight that 12 days after the Iron Maiden/Megadeth concert; I will be attending an equally kick ass concert at the War Memorial.
