I also have some of these https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/1026014377?pid=596785&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=20985075595&utm_content=ag-autoag0000_cmpn-20985075595_sku-59678512345&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20985103897&gbraid=0AAAAAD-kRFSZhnZXHxfMAForco-SPzccX&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI24-2mOWWjgMV7SZECB23QjplEAQYASABEgJJV_D_BwE They work well and are the ultimate in protection with the ability to hold a normal conversation when combined with my Peltor 100s. Unfortunately, they are uncomfortable (for me) after only an hour or two.

Be careful with those orange cone-style plugs. I had the tip of one break off in my ear once. That ended in a trip to the ENT guy.

Here are the ones I have: https://premearhearing.com/products/passive-protection/ This guy travels around the southeast, but others make basically the same thing. Mine are the passive molded ones, but they also have electronic plugs. I carry a small bottle of baby oil in my range bag and put a drop or two on each before putting them in. The baby oil keeps the inside of my ears from getting scrubbed and scratched and makes a better seal when inserted. I have gotten the occasional funny look. Others use sunscreen or just spit to do the same thing. I read somewhere that saliva can lead to ear infections, so I never did that. I learned years ago that the filtered passive plugs are trash. If I am going to be near some jerk with a Win Mag and a brake, I throw a pair of Peltor Sport Tactical 100 electronic muffs over the plugs. Same thing for indoors.

Got powder loaded into 88 cases last night, Bullseye using the Lee 039 dipper, added a 1/2" disc 1/4" thick. See which dipper will give me 7/16 to 1/2 oz shot. See if more wad is needed before setting over card with glue. Need to make a 3/8 and 7/16" push rod, 5/16" is to small for the wads.

I've tried different plugs over the years along with a few muffs. The foamies with muffs are the way to go if you are highly sensitive or shooting big bore indoors. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE?!! BTW, Harleys with straight pipes are bad too.

If they did it likey was because Republicans didn't raise a point of order to call it out via the Byrd Rule. But it's always a blury line when deciding if something is primarily a policy changes achieved through budget tweaks which should be a no-go in reconciliation, or firm budget items that get by. Since budget and policy are almost interchangeable as legislative affairs go, you can usually make an argument in some way, or save part of your intent. The subject of this thread where the budget part (the tax) can be clearly separated from the policy (the rest of the NFA), is an example, and it's hard to say that take is wrong. It's also worth noting, something disgustingly bloated like "The One Big Beautiful Bill" where Republicans had to give a lot of their members something personal to get a Yea vote because of the thin margins in each chamber is bound to have plenty that can be whacked off in reconciliation. We're seeing the sausage to through the grinder into the casing.

I will say it is much harder to hit a target, the size of a head, at the distance Jack Wilson did in a running battle. The guy was moving and walking toward the front of the church. Google the video and watch it. Jack did an exceptional job. I have a feeling God helped Jack. The guy had several more shells when he met his end. No doubt Jack saved lives by his act of mercy. I read an interview where Jack said he practices every week. Their church group safety team practices every month. I was shooting off hand and managed to hit pretty well but my group was not the best. Old shaky hands and eye floaters at 77. Oh, when I was younger!!!!! Sometimes, a guy has the desire, but the hand of time brings limits. Google "Sheepdogs" Thought I would practice just the same. The 40 feet looks/is long to old eyes and shaky hands, let alone Jacks target was moving. By the way the finger shot was a stop! Can't beat success, Alleycat72. Edited to add; Anytime a person pulls a gun and fires it at another, that person is in a world of hurt! A grand jury just found a no true bill, 10 months later, on Jack Wilson in Texas, following his act of self-defense of another in that church, and the act was on film. Very Serious Stuff, guys. Jack still had to face the justice system, lawyer and all.

Thank you!. But I’ll bet you a dollar to a donut that in previous reconciliation bills, in a dem LED senate, that had non budgetary items, it flew right through.

[ satire] Did you hear that they have redesignated the military sidearm formally know as the "Colt 1911A1" government model pistol... & accordingly, it's classic original chambering: 45 ACP (A.utomatic C.olt P.istol C.artridge?) Yep. It's the first weapon in the history of the US DOD weapons arsenal to receive a human'like military service medal of sorts, after (both sidearm and cartridge) has served faithfully for over 100+ years in both military war-time & peace, law enforcement and competitive pistol shooting at all conceivable forms. Not to mention as well as relied upon & loved by millions of Americans for personal defense... & last but not least, having a "only after you pry it out of my cold, dead fingers" world wide affinity to "those who know." Yep- The pistol is now redesignated/ called the: "19'AARP" and the cartridge, is now the: " .45 ASSDEPO. " ASSDEPO being the official acronym that stands for: Automatic Soc. Sec. Dissability Entitlment Pay Out [after gran'pa caught your punk self in his shed at 0245 HRS. tryna steal his lawn mower; him accordingly following his 'drafted into 'Nam training protocol: B.R.A.S.S,911. For the uniformed, "BRASS" is the old school USMC shooting acronym: B.reath (while)R.elease(-ing) A.im S.queeze S.hoot. Let's have a round for such a faithful, long serving veteran of these United States, now formally & correctly honored! Cheers!

Senate rules. Everything that can qualify for reconciliation, and get through with 50 votes because the filibuster isn't allowed has to be directly related to budgetary matters. So the tax survived, but changing how the NFA classifies things can't happen that way. People are screaming at the parliamentarian, but she's just reading the rules and calling it correct as the rules currently stand. Now the kicker is, each chamber of Congress can set their own rules, so Republicans could change things, but that's risky. It throws out a lot of norms the Senate keeps around to be more deliberative than the House, and would give the Democrats the same power when they eventually take over at some point to be determined. It's also entirely possible the Republicans knew this was gonna happen and were a-okay with it. The tax stamp revenue is completely insignificant, even as an offset to ATF processing costs, so they're fine with that going. But do you really think they want to eliminate or reduce the NFA?
