  1. Hello. I’m interested in a Smith & Wesson model 65 stainless .357 revolver with a three inch barrel. Prefer the shrouded ejector rod found on the Lady Smith 65, but will purchase both. Only interested in prelock models with a 3” barrel. I’m in middle Tennessee. Please PM me the details if you have or know of one for sale. Thank you for your time.
  2. Just look at what the internal lock did to the S&W revolver value. If this “smart gun” technology takes hold the impact will be exponential.
  3. Seems to me the last several Presidents have turned their time in office into some sort of spending spree with each one exceeding the prior President (and in some cases exceeding all past Presidents) regardless of party. Fiscal responsibility has been hopeless for decades. I blame it on career politicians of all flavors.
  4. To be clear I wasn’t justifying anything rather trying to add perspective. Cancel the season for all I care.
  5. Classless for sure, but hardly uncommon. Most SEC schools have plenty of classless fans with the possible exception of Vanderbilt who doesn’t even have plenty of fans period.
  6. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, have not researched this subject and did not stay in a Holiday Inn last night. I have a question for those of you more informed on this topic than me. My understanding of the COVID vaccines is that they, like most, if not all other vaccines, do not prevent the vaccinated from catching COVID or from infecting others. Instead the COVID vaccine reduces the symptoms or severity of COVID for the vaccinated (which if true is obviously beneficial to the vaccinated). Is my understanding consistent with currently available medical research? If my understanding is correct then the vaccines will not stop or slow the spread of COVID. If my understanding is not correct please clarify my misunderstanding. If my understanding is correct, what affect does a non-vaccinated person have to someone who has been vaccinated? Are we back to the flatten the curve and not overrun our healthcare providers with COVID cases argument? At some point that argument seems to extend to taking away spoons from overweight folks who could conceivably overrun our healthcare providers at some point as well (once again assuming the premise that the vaccine does not prevent the spread of COVID). I realize my understanding may well be incorrect hence my inquiry and request for clarification. Full disclosure my 74 year old mother was fully vaccinated at my request. If it’s good enough for her it’s good enough for me. I’m just trying to understand another facet of “science” that has been politicized. Thanks in advance for any learned input.
  7. I use Aguila Super Colibri out of a lever action or bolt action 22. Not sure it will cycle in a semi-auto. No louder than snap caps and does not disturb the neighbors. It is a bit louder out of my S&W 617 revolver.
  8. Short answer in my opinion is inevitability. I believe there are two kinds of people. Those who’ve had COVID-19 and those who will get it.
  9. I currently use Wilson Consulting LLC (John Wilson) in Franklin. Single gun transfers are $30 (which includes the $10 TICS charge). Transfers from individuals are permitted. John is great to deal with. He works out of his home so timing is flexible, but you need to coordinate in advance. More info available here: https://www.wilsonconsultingllc.net/index.html I used to use Capitol View Pawn on Charlotte before it closed. They accepted transfers from individuals, but claimed legally as a pawn shop FFL they had to hold transfers from individuals for 21 days. I never confirmed whether this holding period was required by law. Hope this helps.
  10. I never seem to have a MidwayUSA coupon code when I need one. Looking for a free shipping or general discount coupon code, etc. Please share if you have one. I realize their business may be booming so coupon codes may not be available, but thought I’d check. Thanks in advance.
  11. KahrMan & TGO David - Thank you!
  12. Very generous. Please include me as well. Thanks, KahrMan!!
  13. Hi, Bill. Thanks for the link! I will follow up with them.
  14. Hello all. I’m interested in purchasing a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm silver scope or comparable Leupold scope, but it needs to have a silver finish. I believe the VX line has been discontinued. Anyone know of any retailers that might have discontinued VX line scopes or comparable Leupold silver scopes in stock? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  15. I suppose it’s safe to say I fall squarely into the UT unfaithful category at this point. As a UT grad it’s sad to say the product they’ve put on the field hasn’t been worth my time, money or attention for over a decade. While I can’t speak to the amount invested in the new athletic facility (or other athletic related capital improvements), UT has clearly gone on the cheap for football coaches. Kiffin (no buyout, fired from Raiders, unproven head coach), Dooley (stolen from LA Tech horrible record at a non-FBS program, little, if any, buyout), Jones (a modicum level of success at the mid-major level, low buyout) and Pruitt (no buyout, no collegiate head coaching expertise, umteenth choice). I fail to understand why UT continues to hire coaches on the cheap. A program that fancies itself as a title contender should pay the freight and hire proven head coaches. Otherwise you’re grasping at straws hoping you get lucky and hire the next best unproven commodity. Not worth the risk in my opinion particularly when you’ve fallen a few rungs from top tier already. The losses in ticket revenue and concessions could more than easily justify luring to top tier proven head coach...
  16. I am hardly a biblical scholar, but I don’t quite grasp the concept of selective belief in the Bible. The Bible speaks against adding or taking away from the text. From my (perhaps simplistic) perspective either you believe in the Bible or you don’t. If you selectively believe in certain portions you believe in something other than the Bible. Of course each one of us has that choice to make and I am fine with it (wouldn’t matter if I wasn’t) as we’ll all be held accountable for our beliefs. Of course I recognize many may differ in their opinion as to the consequences of those beliefs. In any event, I agree with greggintenn in that the Biblical era may well have had a different concept of time. I also wonder about the veracity of carbon dating. Circling back to the Bible (for you believers), how old was Adam at the time of his creation? Clearly not an infant. I see no reason why the earth could not have been created at a mature age or some age other than that of “an infant.” As peejman said, we’ll have the time to figure it out... For all you gamblers and non-believers out there look up Pascal’s wager.
  17. You're exactly right, cj0e. I forgot the original request and agree. Guess I lucked out on my 1920 not rattling. Ha.
  18. I recommend the Pelican 1910 or 1920. They are priced between $20 and $25. Great lights for the money. I have a few of each. http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/tactical-dive-flashlights-headlamps/small-light/standard/1910/
  19. Merry Christmas to all!

    Bye Bye Bersa

Agreed. Just better all the way around than my LCP. Of course it cost nearly twice as much. Can't go wrong with the Sig P238 particularly if you like single action. Rohrbaugh makes a nice 380 (and 9), but get ready to open your wallet. For micro carry and quality there's none better than the SeeCamp 380, but it is a b*tch to shoot (and pricey).
