  1. I suppose it’s safe to say I fall squarely into the UT unfaithful category at this point. As a UT grad it’s sad to say the product they’ve put on the field hasn’t been worth my time, money or attention for over a decade. While I can’t speak to the amount invested in the new athletic facility (or other athletic related capital improvements), UT has clearly gone on the cheap for football coaches. Kiffin (no buyout, fired from Raiders, unproven head coach), Dooley (stolen from LA Tech horrible record at a non-FBS program, little, if any, buyout), Jones (a modicum level of success at the mid-major level, low buyout) and Pruitt (no buyout, no collegiate head coaching expertise, umteenth choice). I fail to understand why UT continues to hire coaches on the cheap. A program that fancies itself as a title contender should pay the freight and hire proven head coaches. Otherwise you’re grasping at straws hoping you get lucky and hire the next best unproven commodity. Not worth the risk in my opinion particularly when you’ve fallen a few rungs from top tier already. The losses in ticket revenue and concessions could more than easily justify luring to top tier proven head coach...
  2. I am hardly a biblical scholar, but I don’t quite grasp the concept of selective belief in the Bible. The Bible speaks against adding or taking away from the text. From my (perhaps simplistic) perspective either you believe in the Bible or you don’t. If you selectively believe in certain portions you believe in something other than the Bible. Of course each one of us has that choice to make and I am fine with it (wouldn’t matter if I wasn’t) as we’ll all be held accountable for our beliefs. Of course I recognize many may differ in their opinion as to the consequences of those beliefs. In any event, I agree with greggintenn in that the Biblical era may well have had a different concept of time. I also wonder about the veracity of carbon dating. Circling back to the Bible (for you believers), how old was Adam at the time of his creation? Clearly not an infant. I see no reason why the earth could not have been created at a mature age or some age other than that of “an infant.” As peejman said, we’ll have the time to figure it out... For all you gamblers and non-believers out there look up Pascal’s wager.
  3. You're exactly right, cj0e. I forgot the original request and agree. Guess I lucked out on my 1920 not rattling. Ha.
  4. I recommend the Pelican 1910 or 1920. They are priced between $20 and $25. Great lights for the money. I have a few of each. http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/tactical-dive-flashlights-headlamps/small-light/standard/1910/

    Bye Bye Bersa

Agreed. Just better all the way around than my LCP. Of course it cost nearly twice as much. Can't go wrong with the Sig P238 particularly if you like single action. Rohrbaugh makes a nice 380 (and 9), but get ready to open your wallet. For micro carry and quality there's none better than the SeeCamp 380, but it is a b*tch to shoot (and pricey).
  6. Thanks for the ideas guys. Nice work, Jeb48. That's kinda what I'm looking for.
  7. I'm more of a "listener" than "talker" on TGO, but certainly enjoy the exchanges and information on this site. I'm looking for suggestions for a rack or temporary storage system for removing/rearranging rifles and shotguns in my safe. It's always a pain to access long guns in the back of the safe and figure out where to put everything I've removed. I'm guessing this is a common issue TGOers experience. My apologies if I've missed this topic, but thought I'd check here before reinventing the wheel. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. Ordered a box today along with a few other items and shipping dropped from $11/12 to $4.20. Spent just over $50 in total so maybe that helped.
  9. I've bought a few guns from Tony over the years and definitely recommend him. Great guy for sure.
  10. FYI. Arms Unlimited has the 9mm Shield on sale for $350. Not sure about shipping though. Never purchased a gun from them, but have purchased accessories and had a good experience. https://www.armsunlimited.com/mobile/product.aspx?ProductCode=180021
