Congrats. I have a 8400 Montana in .30-06, and really like it. The scope, rings, and sling weigh almost as much as the gun.

We have used Nashville Pet Crematory in the past. Our vet would have taken care of everything for a small charge, and we did that for one of ours. I handled the process for one of ours myself, and I am not sure I would do it again. I dread the next time that we have to make that decision, and having someone else take a little the load off is well worth the minimal expense.

Depending on how bad the crack is, you can usually fix with just a good quality wood glue and a clamp.

I think that is probably why I had to reset. I tried my password combination with both names. It will take a little getting used to, but I like the new "look and feel" so far.

I really like the way you do your videos. Another job well done!

I have had decent luck with the Northern Tool kits. They certainly aren't the best quality, but they do ok for a specific task. I have a solar powered shed using one of their kits - LED lights, chainsaw sharpener, and grinder. Nothing that I expect long run times on and I only go in there a couple times a week, but it works. For smaller applications, the Goal Zero stuff isn't bad. I keep a small panel in my backpacking gear just to charge my phone on trips.

I don't see the safe indicated on your floor plan. That is a problem! I feel the same way. If you need to seek gratification by telling the world every time you get a little exercise, you probably need some help that facebook can't provide.

We have used copper faraday cages around electrical transformers for decades to eliminate interference with sensitive electronics nearby. They were always grounded as well.

I think that is the audience that has interest. I just don't think that audience is large enough to support a large market.

Probably just demand vs manufacturing costs. Browning made BPR for 4-5 years, so I assume (always dangerous) lack of sales led to its demise.

The Remington 7600 makes a pretty good deer stand/brush gun. I think they still make it in .30-06, .270, and .308. A buddy had one in .243, so I know they had other offerings in the past. Not sure why they don't get more love. I would really like to run across a .308, but I have never seen one.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolences, thoughts and prayers.

First, please thank your sons for their service. I couldn't agree more. In most of our society, celebrity trumps (or Trump if you prefer) true sacrifice. We have lost our way, and hope that we can collectively find our way back.

That is gorgeous!!! Congrats

Metro doesn't have any, and I think the cameras in Brentwood and Franklin are only for monitoring traffic.

^This With an external frame pack, you want to the weight high. With an internal frame, you want it more toward the middle of your back and close to your body. I have found that a camelback, I drink a lot more water and stay better hydrated. Check with a good local sporting goods store, and they can help fit you for a pack, and some will even let you load it with your anticipated weight and test it out.

Man with guns detained at Bellevue Baptist Church (Memphis)

It is strange. I tried a couple of other code searches that I know have changed, and am getting current results. Regardless, the exception only applies to transportation/storage in a vehicle. -

I am sure you are right. I was looking at my Lexis feed, but it does show a 2014 TCA date. -

That is the code section that allows carry of a loaded long-gun for HCP holders, as long as a round isn't chambered. Below is how I believe the code still stands - "(e) It is an exception to the application of this section that a person authorized to carry a handgun pursuant to § 39-17-1351 is transporting a rifle or shotgun in or on a privately-owned motor vehicle and the rifle or shotgun does not have ammunition in the chamber. However, the person does not violate this section by inserting ammunition into the chamber if the ammunition is inserted for purposes of justifiable self-defense pursuant to § 39-11-611 or § 39-11-612."
