My wife is working from home; her "office" is the kitchen table. I am seeing patients from my office providing mental health therapy, so other than to get groceries (once a week) we are staying home.

At least working from home right now, every time I have a no show patient it gives me more time to work on refinishing and reassembling my Model 63 Winchester .22 auto rifle. When finished, pictures WILL be posted.

Insurance companies do not pay for telehealth mental health sessions, and it took until early this week for them to rescind that policy. I'm transitioning all my patients to a HIPAA compliant platform where we can see and talk with each other in safety.

One thing we all might do in the present is to "check our anxiety." Our emotions remain in check by balancing our logic and emotions. When any type of situation that is anxiety producing occurs, we throw logic out the window and emotion takes over. As a result, we lose all sense of reason and emotion leads to extreme "What if . . ." thinking. At its height "What if . . . " thinking most always spins so far out of control that we lose all reason. As a result, the anxiety worsens. Living in the moment is the antidote. When we are tempted to worry about things we cannot control - which only increases "What if" thinking, notice that trigger and focus on what we CAN control. Living in the past is depression. Living in the future is anxiety. Thus, in these uncertain moments the more we can catch our anxiety early, balance our emotion with logic, and focus on what we can control rather than what we cannot, we all just might make it through this together. Sending good thoughts and prayers to all.

Thanks for the links regarding the film's historicity; I'll give it a look. While not as historical, but a good example of the fighting in WWI, 1917 is a great movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=YqNYrYUiMfg

My mother was the executive assistant to the CEO of the Davenport family that originally owned the Krystal. Mom died in 2017 so your mention of the Krystal today brings back some Krystal memories, so please indulge me for a moment. In high school on a dare I ate 32 Krystals on a Friday night at the Krystal on Cherokee Blvd. in Chattanooga (hometown!) (I also lost all 32 minutes later . . .) But I did win a Marlin 39A as I had to eat 30 to win the rifle from a friend. And he did give me the prize! Anyone remember when they made donuts with a machine? I'd die for a hot maple donut . . . They used to serve hot syrup with their waffles Their fried chicken was awesome! The family and the company were both very nice to my mother and myself when my father was ill and dying

Never owned a .380; never shot one. Have read lots of info on both sides of the debate that the .380 is or is not a good round for self-defense. I know that many of you here carry a .380, so please educate me about a caliber I know nothing about. Thank you for your feedback!
