Nice. I carry mine all the time. I tried to register there a few weeks ago but never heard anything back.

It's the first day of Movember.............Viva la Moustache!!!!

I emailed him a couple links last night. He called me earlier this morning and basically said "I did it again didn't I". I asked him if he knew anything about Strider knives before he bought these because the price alone should have been a dead giveaway. He said he knew they were good knives but that was about it. He wouldn't tell me where he got them or what he paid but I told him I found several places that sell them for around 15 bucks shipped from China. He was quiet for a second and then told me he had given a guy $200 for both of them. He said he knows the guy and couldn't believe he did that to him. I asked him if the guy was local and he said yes. He's quiet again for a few seconds. "I'm going to his house to get my money back and I need you to go with me". I'm thinking, I don't want to get involved in this crap but I'm not going to let him go by himself. I ask him who it is and he tells me. I know this guy and he's not somebody you want to get in a brawl with. My buddy asked me if I would still go with him. I said yea, I'll go but I hope you don't get my ass kicked over you spending $200 on knives. He said "Jimmy, you don't really think I like you enough to buy you a $100 knife". Then he started laughing. The b@stard got me!! Somebody gave the knife to his son. He knew it was fake and decided to mess with me a little. And yes he had me believing him the whole time. He's called twice to rub it in and I've laughed my ass off all morning. I love having friends like this. There will be payback.

I agree 100% Mr. Three. I just hope he didn't pay much for it.

Well, it says Strider on it. A little background info.... I've got a buddy. He's a great guy, do anything for you. He gets into things to the point of knowing a brand name but that's about as far as it goes. He calls me earlier and tells me he got a killer deal on a knife and bought me one too because the price was just too good to pass up. He's the same guy that brought his new $200 Sebenza he bought from some guy at the gun show by my house a few months ago. You can probably guess where this is going. It was a fake as his Sebenza. I take that back, the Sebenza was a custom, hand built knife compared to this one. I'm not an expert when it comes to Striders but this one looked like it came from the 'Cave' at Smoky Mt. Knife Works. I had told him his Sebenza was fake and to be REALLY careful where he was buying knives from. It didn't take. I just thanked him and offered to pay him for it. He said for no more than it cost not to worry about it. He'll probably be by in a week or so with a $30 Spyderco Military telling me about the great deal he got on it. Here's the 'pic or it didn't happen' pic of my new HT-S. I guess that's what it's supposed to be. The point is sharp as hell so I guess I can use it for Zombie killin' and such.

These damn ESEE's multiply like rabbits. Got this one on the way. Plain edge 6 with a Godspeed Tactical taco sheath in coyote.

He's got a great selection, especially buckles. Thanks for the link.

Making my own handles. Need a little guidance.

Nice work! Those turned out great. -
Let us know how you like it. I've been thinking about getting that same setup from SWFA.
-
I really don't mind the ESEE sheaths. They could be better but the retention is good and they'll work with a tek lok. I recently got an Ontario Night Stalker 7 and a Ranger Afghan. Love the knives but the POS nylon sheaths they come with are pretty bad.

I was having a beer or 3 tonight and thought I'd share this. Doesn't have a great ending or anything but here goes........ I had to go recliner shopping this evening. My old friend of the past 6 years went to the 'man cave in the sky' earlier today. As I was trying out a suitable replacement an older couple walked by followed by what I guessed was their son. I flopped the footrest down and we exchanged a hello as they walked by. Now I'm deep in thought about making such an important purchase. This recliner isn't about me, it's about the dog. Is there enough room for him to lay beside me without me having to sit on the opposite arm of the chair so I'm not touching him? Will he have enough of a landing pad when he jumps from 10 feet away running at 100 mph? Is the footrest big enough for him to lay sideways on his back exposing his kibbles and bits for the world to see? Still I manage to notice something. The son is wearing scrubs and semi pocket carrying a revolver, a big revolver. How do you semi pocket carry you ask?? You grip the big ass gun and stick most of it in your pocket. Next you leave the grip exposed above your pocket. How does the gun not just fall in or out of your pocket? You never take your hand off the grip is how!! I'm watching this guy walking around with a partially exposed gun in his hand. I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw this it was hard to keep my hand from finding it's way under my shirt and on to the grip of my Kimber. So I stand there for a minute looking at this guy. When his Dad asked him something it was "yes sir". He's helping his mom by holding her purse while she fondles something. He's holding the purse with his left hand, right hand never comes off the grip. He sets the purse down and helps her sit on a chair she likes. Again, never lets go of what looks like a big S&W. Dad asked him another question, "yes sir". I'm thinking...seems like a nice guy but what the hell. So I ask. Me: What ya got in your pocket? Him: Ahhh...S&W revolver. Me: Looks kinda big. Him: Yeah, a 629. Left my carry gun home. This is my truck gun. Me: Nice. Why you carrying it like that? Him: Didn't have a holster with me. Me: Guess you don't have enough pocket for it. Him: Pocket has a hole in it. Me: What?? Him: My pocket has a hole in it. Me: LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Him: No, really. There's a hole in my pocket and that's why I'm holding on to it. I've absolutely lost it laughing at this point because he's serious as hell. There was so much more I wanted to say to him but he walked off as the guy from the warehouse walked up and said my recliner was up front waiting for me. Here's the best part. I'm sure I was the only person that noticed. There was at least 20 people walking around and no one paid any attention. Too busy doing their own thing. And I worry about printing sometimes. The story doesn't have a happy ending. The dog won't get near the new recliner. Pretty sure it's going back tomorrow.

I'm not sure I have the talent or the finances to take that on TDR.

NO, NO, NO....its a stone fireplace. Let's throw them at the gaps between the rocks and see if we can if get one to stick. Hell, one more beer and I might give it a try.
-
Thanks!! Thought about doing that and it would probably be the easiest thing to do. It could just set on the mantel. I might go get a few pieces and see what I can do with them.

I want to make some kind of display for some of my fixed blades to go over my fireplace. I'd rather have them somewhere I can look at 'em than stuck in a drawer or on a shelf. 8 to 12 knives ranging from about 5" to 14" overall. ESEE Candiru would be the smallest, Ontario Night Stalker the largest. I've got a pretty big picture frame that's a little beat up. Thought about attaching it to a piece of plywood then torch it, finish it and distress it a little. I could also use the frame on a piece of corrugated metal with plywood for a backing. Since the knives won't be permently attached I'm thinking I could use hooks, screws, maybe drill and use dowels to set the knives on. Other than that I could go to the lake and get some drift wood.......that's about as far as I've got with the drift wood idea. That's all I've came up with at the moment. It doesn't need to be elaborate, the plainer the better. No kids so I don't have to worry about anybody getting a hold of one and getting hurt. So people, help me out. Got any ideas????

I had never shot one until yesterday. The range I was at had just put one in their rentals. I was suprised at how much I liked it. They had a 238 in Dark Earth that I thought about bringing home with me. I'm still thinking about going back and getting it. EDIT: They had Extreme on the tag but after some research I'm guessing it was a Scorpion.

Made it to the range today. The Ruger ran pretty much flawlessly. Had 2 FTF out of 150 rounds but they went bang on the 2nd trigger pull. I benched it and the sights were off just a touch. After a couple adjustments it was more accurate than I am. Trigger was better than the P22 I had and lightened up a bit, especially in DA, by the time I left. So far I like the little thing. I bought a LaserLyte for it on the way home. Don't know why because I'm not a big laser fan but what the hell. I'll try it out next time.
-
Good to know. Hopefully I'll have the same results with mine.

I've been without a .22 pistol for a few months and went looking today. I've had the P22 and M&P 22. Liked them but not enough to keep them. Decided to give the Ruger SR22 a try. Got a decent deal on one with the silver anodized slide and brought it home. Will be trying it out tomorrow. Looks like every other SR22 but here's a couple pics.

I got mine for $80+tax last month.

It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow but I'll be out of town for the next few days. -
Saw those last night too, nice looking blades. I've got a couple in my watch list.

I was looking at some trade knives last night and ran across this one. Different style blade but I like the looks of it. http://www.kellamknives.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_33_83_86&products_id=205
