I'm tempted to order a Metis Belt Knife from the link JAB posted. 5 1/4" etched blade in 1095 for 36 bucks...might be worth a try. http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/464/1/KNIFE-METIS Kinda like the French Trade Knife too. http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/461/1/KNIFE-FT-M

Those do look pretty good. Not a bad price either. -
Question on hybrid holsters...

Who'd you get yours from? After reading so many good reviews about Alien Gear I ordered one from them. I figured for the price I'd give it a try. -
Question on hybrid holsters...

Usually it's so you can adjust the retention. -
Not ground breaking info or anything but here's a size comparison of the Candiru, Izula, 3 & 4. I was too lazy to get the ESEE out of my Jeep so I used the RAT.

Great looking blade. After seeing the price I ordered a Mini last night to keep in my vehicle. Thanks for the post!!

No problems at all. I wear the tan one at about 3:30- 4 o'clock and don't even notice I have it on. Pretty comfortable and doesn't take up much real estate around the waist.

I've used it in my Mossberg 500 and Rem 1100. I've read people say it doesn't pattern well but it's decent at 15 yards. It does have a larger spread past that. There's definitely better buckshot out there but I've never had one not go boom. Can be a little dirty though.

No problem....glad to help out.

These are the only ones I had of the back. If you want a different angle or anything let me know and I'll take a couple more for you.

I've got two 3's, ones a RAT though, and a Candiru. They had a few Izula II's on sale. I should have got one yesterday, it would have saved me from making another trip today LOL. I wouldn't mind getting a 5 or 6.

I've been wanting an ESEE 4 for a while but never got around to buying one. I was in SMKW and actually found them on sale cheaper than about any place I've seen so went ahead and got one. Came with the sheath and clip and I have an extra Tek Lok here at the house for it. Not my pic but the same setup.

I married her and hoped she would never change. She married me and prayed to God that I would. Neither one of us got what we wanted. The end.

I just bought a Shield last week. I put the Apex DCAEK in my M&P 9 because the trigger was horrible, heavy and really gritty. Night and day difference in the trigger pull after I installed it. My Shield didn't have the gritty pull like the fullsize so I didn't get the whole kit. I just got the Apex sear. Like Mike said, the sear moves the break back, lightens it and removes most of the over travel. That was all I was wanting with mine. I also polished the trigger bar at the contact points with the striker block and sear.

I got a new Shield the other day so I needed a holster or two for it. The tan one is a Slimline from Crossfire Holsters. I had one of these already for an M&P FS and really like them. No wasted material on these, fit is great with adjustable retention, j clip or loop and tuckable. Ended up ordering another one for my Kimber this morning. The black one is IWB/OWB kydex. I saw it on the bay and kinda liked the style so I put a low bid on it and ended up winning it. I had to do a little re-molding on it with a hair dryer to get the fit a little tighter. Rides close to the body which I like.

I started carrying my wallet in my front pocket several years ago. I think it's a lot more comfortable. And like you said, you basically only carry what you need.

I use a money clip wallet and just ordered a gray Elephant from him. Thanks for the link.

Is there a reason for me to get a M&P Shield if...
jimmydeuce replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Handguns
I've got the FS and really like it, except the crappy, gritty, heavy stock trigger. I did some trigger work on mine and got it better but still not what I'd call good. Have a DCAEK on the way for it. I stopped in the LGS today looking for an EDC gun. Ended up getting a shield. I liked the compact but it was a little too similar to the FS. The Shield had a lot better trigger than my FS or the compact had out of the box too. Since you already have the compact, this would probably be the route I'd go. -

I've got the yellow JP springs in mine. Did a little polishing and it's a lot better than stock. My friend has a Rock River 2 stage in his. After shooting it, I'll probably end up getting one for mine.

Sorry man....just talked to him and he sold it a couple weeks ago.

I'll let you know something as soon as I can get ahold of him.

I know a guy who had one for sale about a month ago. Want me to see if he still has it?

Congrats....probably my favorite edc. I got lucky and found a camo/black and a black/satin in stock a couple months ago.
