Knock it off with dick shots already, lol. I’m not squeamish in at all (except in such matters) but a line must be drawn in shooting peckers, even if the villain deserves it.

Rock ran his mouth and found out. Regardless, I like both of them and am not a cancel type like more than I thought would be.

Fourth of July is next week. Summer. Election year. And the rules of “supply and demand’” you might have learned in high school economics no longer apply.

Permitless vs Constitutional carry?
Garufa replied to Grayfox54's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think the general gist of it in this state is that carrying a firearm in public is in fact, illegal. We are allowed to carry only because the legislature over many years has defined a dizzying array of exceptions to the rule. Examples being handgun carry permits, “permitless carry”, “guns in cars”, and all the other subtle nuances they’ve spun up. In a true constitutional scenario, it would not be illegal to publicly carry a firearm in the first place. -

Supreme Court strikes down bump stock law!

You might want to get one of those steel drums full of ammo before trying to make it run. -
You can tell folks those boxes of ammo came from Target on Colonial.

Not in that part of town. I-40 in Knoxville is a disaster on Friday afternoons. Rush hour is stupid everyday but it is especially acute on Fridays.

Like they did brand new. They are cared for, just not shot much. Bought the 39 about 10 years ago, the 336T I got for Christmas (with some begging, lol) when I was in 7th grade. When I was in 7th grade I also started reloading…30-30 being one of the calibers. Last night I rediscovered my stash of rounds I reloaded all those years ago. Decided it was time to get rid of those 40+ year old reloads from barely teen me. They look like hell and I don’t even know what’s in them, but they all went bang and not to bad accuracy-wise.

I have a new recommendation. Colt King Cobra 4”. I had the great pleasure to put nearly 100 rounds through one today and am infatuated. Not only is it extremely well made, but the accuracy and action are exceptional. Also very well balanced. I’ve never been too big on stainless revolvers but that thing is so pretty I spent as much time admiring it as shooting it. They aren’t inexpensive but might just be worth the cost.

Took a couple of the Marlins out today that have not gotten much attention in a long, long time. ‘76 336T and ‘82 39A.

Target sold ammo? Just found these forgotten treasures hidden away. Bought around 1980 when I was just a kid...well my dad bought them. Price on the 30-30:

Most warranties these days are tied to the original purchaser.

What are y’all’s thoughts on registering a new firearm with the manufacturer for their warranty? Don’t they provide the warranty regardless of whether you register or not?

It’s just fine for those who think the Rocky Mountains are in Tennessee.

I am developing an unhealthly obsession with the 3” King Cobra .357 since seeing one the other day.

.30-06 surplus - some better than others?
Garufa replied to TheReformedRebel's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
FYI, ALL U.S military surplus .30-06 made prior to 1952-54ish is corrosive. Forget the exact year, might look that up later. -
Hard to beat a S&W Victory. Not much to look at but once you shoot one you’ll see why they’re so popular. Mine with a Vortex Venom on top goes to the range every time. In fact, it stays in the range bag.
