  1. That is exactly what will happen TNSovereignty.  If the republicans ever do again gain power they will take great advantage of this new rule.  They will not change it.
  2. So here it is December if anyone's keeping track.  Did they ever actually make them?
  3. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/73816-van-damme-splits-outdone-again-by-chuck-norris/  ;)
  4.   You'll also note that their standard lowers have grooves on the front of the magwell, useless as far as I'm concered but they look cool.  The terms of this, that and the other (can't think of the proper terminology at this time) resulted in a slightly different configuration.
  5. I'm pretty sure it was sanded in it's past life.  The wood around the butt plate is the sign.  Normally the wood should overhang the metal plate a bit...."proud" as they say.  Also see a repair at the toe.  If there were any cartouches and they were lightly struck the sanding would have taken them off.
  6. You might also pull the stock off and see if there are any markings inside the barrel channel or underneath the buttplate.  I think some stocks will have a number or symbol there.   This is by no means all-inclusive but does show some unique features of each of the original manufacturers....http://www.trfindley.com/pgm1stkid.html   Also, try the CMP forums.  I bet they could get it figured out pretty quick.
  7.   That's the 13" keymod rail, totally different.   I'm thinking the one I posted is a little over 16 oz with the nut.
  8. It's a replacement stock.  Don't get your knickers in a wad.  I got royally jacked by CMP on the wood that came with my Winny Garand.  It is what it is. You can get an original stock if you like with the cartouches but it's gonna cost, big time.
  9.   Don't know the exact weight because it's not published but it's not as heavy as a full quad-rail and not as light as the MI SS Gen2 SS I ended up with.  The part where normal people put their hand is very thin...like 1.5 inches, then you have rail part where they are actually needed.
  10. I really, really, really wanted this for my build but it's been out of stock from the few places that sell them for a couple of months. I think it would not only look great with the upper but I know they feel great, the PSA SQR forearm is very similar and made by the same people.     Today I got the notice from AIM....   http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XPXTFFSSR15   They only have 4 of them, but I already bought another ridiculously priced aluminum tube.
  11.   Lead pipes do and I imagine there are still more than a few old houses in this country plumb with'em.  It might explain a thing or two.  ;)
  12.   I agree.  It's tainted land.   Does anyone have the balls to say that to the ninnies visiting the War College who don't like the pictures they see?
  13.   You are saying "the homosexual" not just plain homosexuals.  It's like describing them all as one common entity.  Similar speech was used in the past referring to a group of people that is different from you or one has issues with.  For example, in WWII we were fighting "the jap", many don't like "the jew",etc.    Maybe you don't realize you're doing it but it find it amusing.  That's all I was pointing out.
  14. I read this the other day and just shook my Southern, descendant of Confederate Soldiers head.  Robt. E. Lee was a highly respected graduate of West Point with an excellent service record in the US Army, known and obviously still respected as a general and tactictian.  Jackson, another Point grad is/was highly regarded as well.   Everything was just fine until some PC busybody noticed and started making waves.   The political correctness has run beyond amok in the country to the point of trying (doing, actually) to erase history.  It make me sick.
  15.   Not to "butt" in to your conversation with DaddyO but your use of "the homosexual" I find amusing and archaic.  This quote is the second and third usage of the term in this thread.   You do know that is the basest of stereotypical thought, right?  I honestly don't care, just wanted to be all smart pointing that out.  :D
  16.   The sad thing is it probably will be cheaper for manufacturers.  Consumers won't see a cent of that savings.
  17.   http://ptacarms.com/18-AR15-204-Ruger-Barrel-20418RG.htm   I do not know if this is the same PTAC that PSA peddles.
  18. I like it!
  19. Hot chicks making out is not gay.
  20.   Not likely.
  21. Better link....http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/12/18/end-line-for-lead-bullet-regulations-bans-force-switch-to-green-ammo/   BTW, I read last week that most bullets are manufactured from recycled lead and the industry does not see this as a huge impact....in the short term (my thought)   I don't know who to believe anymore but I'm sure this will start yet another run on ammo.
  22. Replacement stock or sanded.  Most likely the former.
  23. We should care why?
  24.
  25.   You left out the most common and annoying saw/seen.
