  1. You won't find a ruling that it is unlawful because it is not, as long as both parties are residents of the same state.
  2. Maybe it's an AR.  There sure isn't enough variety in the market for those things.
  3.   That's the problem with assumptions.  They are usually wrong.   In this state you can own a handgun if you are over 18.  You cannot buy one from a dealer but you can through a private sale.  You cannot get a permit to carry one until 21.   Clear as mud ain't it?
  4. Again, go back and read your post.  #176 in this thread.  I quoted it and it makes no sense, thus my reply.
  5.   Read your own post and report back.
  6.   WTF are you talking about?

  9. The rifle is not a Bannerman.  Bannerman was a chop-shop in the business of sporterizing and converting.
  10. Could very well have been a reporter taking pictures.  There was that shot (picture taken) in the paper that could have been from over 100 yards away of people in line waiting to get in.
  11. The day that the Democrats get control of both houses one or more of these bills will pass, and they will get control at some point.
  12.   Just look for the big sign that says "Reloading Supplies".
  13.   Those are United States inspection marks of the era that leads me to believe this rifle actually made it into US service.  Is there a flaming bomb anywhere on the rifle or any other marks?   Don't know what x's/number's mean under the eagle.  Maybe a specific inspector's mark?
  14. It is indeed an American made M1891 Mosin.  Westinghouse and Remington both produced these rifles during WWI under contract to Russia. Caliber 7.62x54r.   http://www.mosinnagant.net/ussr/US-Mosin-Nagants.asp   I think the Phi symbol is a cryliic "P", maybe. The eagle above it is the Russian Imperial Eagle.   Looks like your's is in very nice condition and is probably worth a considerable amount.  Based on the three Eagle proof marks, commonly used by America in WWI, this rifle may actually have been issued to American troops.   Tons of info here.....http://7.62x54r.net/
  15. Maybe they will announce Gaston has passed away and all further sales except to military and police are indefinitely suspended.  :tinfoil:       That should get the internet going.  ;)
  16.   It'll look pretty silly with that thick-ass slide on top.
  17.   You could try to reason with her.

  19. I would like to report an issue....
  20. Women NEVER forget.  Go ahead and play your games, it will come back to haunt you years from now when you least expect it.
  21. If you buy a HANDGUN from out of state it must go through a dealer. Period. There are no exceptions.
  22. Lest we forget, states have tremendous leeway in enacting gun control laws.  Don't only worry about what the Federals might do.
  23. Gun auctions usually see ridiculous prices being paid, even before recent events.

Just knowing myself, I'd be in the poor house pretty quick with a semi-auto 22 mag rifle.  Marlin makes a fine bolt action you might consider.
  25. AR pistols are crazy loud as well.
