  3. Maybe this will help: fUTure funding: Tuition & Costs Those are just estimates for UT. When I was there they jacked up tuition every year. I assume they still do the same. Private colleges...way, way more.
  4. +1 on that. Don't know if they still are but those used to be OEM for SA.
  5. Or the guy is a complete nut-case. He tried to start his Jihad at a BP with a knife.
  6. Savage produces left-handed rifles. Don't know about other manufacuters. Either way you'll probably have to special order it.
  7. Have always wanted to be a 452 owner, but they do not exist in Knoxville.
  8. Exactly one year ago, pretty much to the day, Dick's also sold Remington UMC .45 ACP for $14.98 per 50. I loaded up.
  9. That's alcohol serving establishments.
  10. You really did that? Are you 31 or 81? I'm sorry but that's just funny. If you bought a new gun whoever you bought it from should have cleared that up for you. Many, many, many years ago there was some type of registration with local PD's, I think, but may be wrong (you'd have to ask someone really, really old).
  11. Congrats! There's nothing like your first 1911. Those Firestorms are fine guns. Great quality at a nice price. Now, where are the pictures?
  12. Hammerdown, Methinks you are one of the good guys at John Sevier. Look forward to meeting you sometime.
  13. I'll give Hammerdown the benefit of the doubt as he came on strong when joining and seems to be a fellow who appreciates fine S&W revolvers. My understanding ends there. While I personally have never had any problems at the John Sevier range, many others hereabouts have. For whatever reason is really inconsequential. The fact of the matter is the "rules" and attitude at the range depend on the RSO's on duty. New shooters are given no orientation, the "rules" are posted on a shack out of sight that no one is going to look at, and every RSO runs the range as they see fit. Every RSO calls hot and cold differently...some announce the rules regarding going downrange, some don't. If you have a gun they are interested in they will talk to you and leave you alone. There is no written rule I have ever seen about "rapid-fire" being more than one round per minute (and I am a VRPC member, for now). That one is completely at the discretion of the RSO's. I fully understand it is a public range and any retard is allowed to shoot there, but many of them do not understand the rules. It is up to the RSO's to help, not scold or bark orders, to those who do not behave the way they like. I always thought playing the part meant helping and educating people on properly enyoing the sport in a safe manner.

Very nice! Even though I have one why does everyone else's look so good?
  15. While I do not defend the rude treatment of gun owners who know what they want and what to expect, CCA is the only gun store in West Knoxville and they put up with astounding amounts of idiocy. I have been there many times and you would not believe the crap you see and hear. One of my favorites was when a woman, who knew nothing about the Bersa 380 she owned, came in and asked the guy at the counter how to disassemble for cleaning. He screwed around with that thing for about 5 minutes before figuring it out. Of all the gun store I've ever been to CCA is the busiest. Not much of a selection but that place is always crowded with people who have no clue and are looking for guidanace. They are lead to display cases filled with the latest plastic pistols by attendents wearing 1911's and bitching about Glocks. The sad thing is that place has alot of potential, but their business is not hurting at all.
  16. The K-Mart 151 was made by Boito from Brazil. I know, never heard of them either! Does it look something like this? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=150917017
  17. Glad you were able to get that Turkey cooked. Would hate to see you having to pack up and head down to the Chinese place "Christmas Story" style. Sounds like and easy and "approved" fix to replace that element.
