  1. The Nancy Pad is merely to increase stock length and give the user a more Western (civilization) experience when operating the rifle.
  2. From experience, I was taught that "Ignorance is no excuse". Reversal of that means standing tall before the man. Take that for what you will.

    Gettin' a little anxious?
  4. What's wrong with communists? Inventory your home for everything made in China.
  5. The City of Knoxville is a government entity within Knox County. They make their own laws, and frankly, could give a about what Knox County does. That being said, you cannot carry in a Knoxville park, but can a Knox County park. Furthermore, if you are on a county greenway that goes into the city, then you may need to disarm. On top of that, when a park is taken over for some school-related activity it's off-limits. Oh, and don't forget that some "parks" may be on school property.
  6. I have a Baby Eagle .40 (same gun, made by IMI). Won't win any beauty contests but is the most accurate gun I've ever shot. Big and built like a tank, a heavy gun. It's a CZ-style design. Good stuff.
  7. DISCLAIMER: This only applies to Knox County parks (and greenways, I assume). Not City of Knoxville parks.
  8. Knox County Commission votes to allow guns in parks Knoxville News Sentinel KNOXVILLE - Knox County Commission today voted 13-5 in favor of allowing handgun permit holders to carry their weapons in county parks. Voting to allow guns in parks were Commissioners Tony Norman, Ivan Harmon, Mike Hammond, Craig Leuthold, Richard Briggs, Brad Anders, Greg "Lumpy" Lambert, R. Larry Smith, Michele Carringer, Bud Armstrong, Dave Wright, Mike Brown and Paul Pinkston. Voting for the ban were Commissioners Sam McKenzie, Thomas "Tank" Strickland, Mark Harmon, Amy Broyles and Finbarr Saunders. Those arguing in favor of handguns in parks said it should be allowed under the Second Amendment and that there have been few instances of problems with violence in Knox County Parks. Briggs pointed out that there has been no instances of emotional people using baseball bats in confrontations at county parks so he didn't expect parents to resort to using guns as a lethal weapon. Those opposed to allowing guns in parks expressed concern because some parents get emotional during sporting events in county parks. Broyles, who proposed banning guns in parks, said she does not have a handgun permit, but that she was a sharpshooter in high school. "I've been assaulted," Broyles said. "I've been raped. I'm very concerned that there's evil in the world. I'm concerned about children in these recreational leagues." She also noted that the city has a ban on guns in parks and there would be a "patchwork" of greenways - some where guns are allowed and some where they are not. The Legislature this year approved legislation allowing handgun permit holders to carry their guns in local and state parks. The bill included an "opt out" provision where cities and counties could opt out of the legislation. More details as they develop online and in Tuesday's News Sentinel.
  9. You may not have a free floating firing pin. May be spring loaded. This sight has a lot of good info on Universals. Universal Firearms Corp.
  10. Is this a USGI carbine? Is the hammer falling when you pull the trigger? Does is look like the bolt is completely closed? Disassemble the thing and remove the bolt per the instructions on Mike.357's link. Since the firing pin is free-floating you should be to move the pin back and forth freely. Pin should stick out of bolt face when pushed from the back. When reassembling make sure you grease (not oil) all the sliding parts.

  12. Suntzu, I took the same pictures of that car in the ditch! Was going to post but got too lazy. The windshield wipers were still going! Still can't figure out how that car got in the ditch.
  13. Just received a Streamlight TLR-1 yesterday for my XDm. Brightest thing I've ever seen. It has lumens of the Sun. Lights up every room of the house. Exactly what I wanted.
  14. I came here to say the same thing! Rain - dogs - goats. If somebody finds a way to use all 3 in a sentence.....
  15. Quick delivery too! I gots my Tula!
  16. Today's "meek" are the ignorant and uninformed, of which there is an overabundance. Yes, sadly, they will inherit the Earth. As wards of the "state".
  17. I rowed over there this afternoon and did not see anything under the counter, as hard as it is to do there. There are some scandalous ammo-whores that frequent the Walker Springs Walmart.
  18. At least 6" or more here in Knoxville.
  19. Don't fret. I'm sure the grabbers have no idea that you can make your own bullets. They don't know anything about guns to begin with.
