    F1 DuraBolt

Picked up a F1 Firearms Durabolt on sale a while back. Even on sale it was expensive for a BCG but it was shiny so I bought it. Fast forward to last week where I went to a shooting school and I put 4000-5000 rounds through it. Early in the week I wiped it off once with a rag and besides applying CLP that's all the maintenance I did with the gun. The gun ran flawlessly the whole week running green tip. Took some before and after pictures when I cleaned it. I only used a rag for the entire BCG except for the neck of the bolt which required the use of a nylon brush to get all the carbon off. Is it worth $300?....that's up to you to decide. I like it, it ran great for me, and clean up was a breeze. But I probably wont pick one up again unless I find one in the $200 range.
  2. Got my omega 9k out of jail the other day and now my mpx is complete. This thing is a blast to shoot
  3. picked up a rcbs 505 on sale at palmetto state. didn't want to go the beam route but the price was too good to pass up. i'll most likely get the chargemaster as well later down the road. thanks for all the input
  4. In the market for a new digital scale. I've been using el cheapos for the last few years and tossing them when they stop holding a zero. My latest is a pocket sized made by Frankford Arsenal. I'm looking for something easy to use and can be trusted for under the $150 mark. What are your recommendations? Thanks for the help.
  5. Try a safariland holster. if you order from holsterops.com it will ship much faster than ordering direct https://holsterops.com/collections/duty/products/safariland-7ts-als-holster-with-qls-19
  6. I have the large larue bag and couldn't be happier with it. built like a tank and made in 'merica. I used to carry 2 bags....one for guns and gear and the other for ammo. this handles both and I can carry 6 pistols in the side pockets if I need to. the website says 4 but the way the side pockets are set up there is room for 3 on each side. http://www.larue.com/larue-range-bag
  7. I actually won a 16" and for that price I love it. I have an Omega 9K in jail and my form 1 has been submitted. I pretty much agree with LawVol. The trigger is and the weight in the front are my biggest gripes. But when it gets converted to a 5" barrel it should take care of that issue and I already swapped the trigger out. The intended purpose should dictate the route you take for the butt stock. Mine came with the collapsible stock and getting a proper cheek weld/sight alignment is a little awkward. Running drills with it takes some getting used to. I'm considering getting a different stock but that will be later down the road. One more thing to consider is the price of magazines. $60 a piece is steep in my book.
  8. Yeah its a 16".  Not sure why they made this variant in that length.  I would rather it be 18".
  9. I was lucky enough to snag this little fella. Just need some warmer days now.
  10.   Trijicon recently released the MRO with a pretty good price point.  Sub $500 on amazon.    Great job on the build....how much does it weigh?
  11. If youre fed/mil then leupold should be a serious option.  for an all around rifle I would go with a quality 1x6/1x8.  you can be almost as fast with a 1x6 as you can be with a red dot and you have the ability to shoot with a better degree of accuracy on distance.
  12. I've been debating on doing this myself.  Looks like Griffin made a can to do just that.   http://www.griffinarmament.com/Spartan-3-Silencer-p/gasp3.htm   Keep us posted if you decide to do it
