  1. People are the problem, lawyers specifically. There is no reason in the world someone sentenced to death should cost us another penny much less more than someone with a life sentence. To alleviate possible wrong convictions, start with absolute convictions. Like the jack wagon that stabbed my buddies kid in the chest (heart, died on the spot) with an ice pick in front of witnesses. Not only did he not get convicted, they dropped charges so he would rat someone else out for another crime. If I was in charge, he'd have ahad a speedy trial. Found guilty if the witnesses were 100% accurate, he was a bouncer checking id's, lots of people around. If convicted let him spend the night in jail, hang him out back the next day. Period. absolutely ridiculous to sentence someone to life inmo. Especially when we let them out!!!!!
  2. The punishment should fit the crime. If you murder someone, you should get the death penalty. What we have certainly isn't working and we have the technology today to reduce if not eliminate false convictions. Being a lifelong criminal should not be a way of life and the prisons shouldn't be making criminals worse. I certainly don't have any answers but am steadfast in the believe murderers shouldn't get a second chance. Their victims don't.
  3. Knoxville had a hit piece on the news with this subject saying you had to pay them as well. Rep Holt is spearheading this because out elected officials are all about cashing in on the citizenry. He has a website that covers a lot of issues. http://www.andyholt4tn.com apparently he gave a way an AR as a door prize last year too. http://archive.commercialappeal.com/news/government/state/tennessee-rep-holt-to-give-away-ar-15-at-fundraiser-352f00e2-f4cc-176a-e053-0100007fb102-382739961.html I think I'll get a camera ticket on purpose just to mess with them.
  4. That's the point. This is America, In addition to these breaking state law, we have a right to face our accuser. Under this system we don't. i don't know how long it takes to get a ticket here but in Germany it would take 3 months sometimes. http://www.andyholt4tn.com/holt-the-truth-about-tn-traffic-camera-tickets-what-to-do-if-you-get-one/
  5. The bad thing about those lawsuits is the impact on the taxpayer! i don't know how big that county is but I bet they don't have millions sitting around to handover.
  6. No tickets here (Knocks on wood) but those cameras make me wonder. One was installed in a city I used to live in at a light by he house and shortly thereafter the light was shortened considerably. I've watched it flash on green lights too. I called the city and they never checked the light timing, guess they timed the camera though. Personally if I get a camera ticket I'll fight it. They are big brother money makers. I'm surprised that they haven't caught on to what Germany does and set up portable cameras. I've see them camouflaged in vans, on bridges catching speeders on the autobahn and propped up in various places.
  7. It does look bad, that's for sure. Reminds me of the days that they used shock therapy in the State hospitals. I don't think they were trying to cure this guy though.
  8. The way I see it, there are no accidents. None. Every single one of them is caused by some factor be it human, mechanical or environmental. I ride. A lot, a real lot and have for over 35 years. It is certainly less fun these days with so many bad drivers and a plethora of distractions. All you can do is protect yourself as much as possible and situational awareness is the biggest factor inmo. Trust no one, expect them all to take you out. I am 100% against the helmet law. Mainly because a mandate creates a false sense of safety and it was forced upon all states by blackmail from the nanny types. As with most things that are good for us it is sold to us with lies and deceit. Freedom of choice doesn't mean you can't wear one. With this incident, I've assumed the kid in the rocket was pushing the limits because of the charges. However, most collisions involving turns in front of motorcycles are from neglect by the cage driver. Trust no one! Ride safely out there and share the road.
  9. Hopefully he had on some good gear and didn't get too hurt. And hope the 71 year old woman isn't bad at all Going too fast though, that's a twisty road with many spots for cross traffic. That'll learn him.
  10. Yep, back to the drawing board to fabricate some other way to deny good people from protecting themselves.
  11. Ugly

    Thank you

Congrats folks! It certainly is very generous of someone, I too won a membership last year and it was quite unexpected. Thanks TGO! I have yet to sell anything but am considering on doing so to fund another hobby that rolls on 2 wheels.
  12. I forgot to ask, what exit? Hahahaha
  13. Welcome to this beautiful part of America! dont ever support any lame brain ideas that some might propose here that resemble the PRNJ! The off road riding is fantastic here! Enoy freedom!
  14. Does that mean the 4th amendment is competent dead? What about motorcycle ONLY checkpoints? Which I believe is unconstitutional to begin with but since I'm on a bike and targeted, wouldn't I already be suspect and that be probable cause? just asking because I'm not sure. video of possible planting of drugs: I'm in no way bashing Leo's, but there are bound to be some out there that could be questionable.
  15. Don't know about the HCP course, took mine several years ago as well. While his Democrat Reps intentions might be good. The article also states the following paragraph. "For instance, the rules say a driver can be arrested for disobeying an officer's order. Gaona said the rule book should tell people that they have a right to refuse an officer's request to search a vehicle." I wonder if that were added by his direction as well. Do not disobey! Geez, seems a bit like Brownshirt tactics to me. He also doesn't mention that the man shot in Minnesota was pulled over for suspicion of robbery, he matched the discription and it was an armed robbery. Any person should be respectful when pulled over, common sense should also prevail when carrying. Perhaps we do need training for those that wouldn't use the utmost caution when dealing with the law.
  16. I joined in 89 and the prices then weren't too bad but quickly became less competitive with he outside world. I believe it was a byproduct of the drawdown and bracs and I did learn one of the agreements were to be within a certain percentage of the closest retailers. The last base I was on had higher gas prices than the stations near my home 30 minutes away for that reason. A prime example is when the exchange took over all the clubs. Beer went from $1 a bottle to $3 nearly overnight. $2.50 out in town. Hopefully this guy does like he hopes. It would be nice to have an exchange worth a damn as a benefit. My guess though, unless the gov revamps the rules to before Clinton times it'll be a small savings. Government workers aren't cheap, not saying many get paid well but the higher ups sure do. I will stay optimistic though and hope for success! Go Navy! (Exchange)
  17. That's some slime ball crap! Due to the severety of damage and deceit these maggots have done, their punishment should've been more severe inmo.
  18. The only deals I used to find there were on the discount racks. It seems like when the civilians took control of the commissary, exchange and clubs, prices went way up. I reckon that's what cutting back on military personnel gets you.
  19. It's probably good that some of us are closer to primates then others many people will lose their minds. They won't get to primate status, they'll get stuck in medievil times. It has to be a real risk due to our modern govs inability to see things right in front of their face and focusing on the land of make believe. Plus there is a possibility the overlords could shut it down intentionally or of course for the sake of climate change.
  20. Utopia is a state of mind while your surroundings become like Venezuela or Cuba and of course N Korea. At least we can still own firearms.
  21. Those were the days! Before we've become a wonderful utopia, or at least suffer trying. Men were men and boys were becoming men. Now? Dandridge courthouse has a museum in the basement. All kinds of relics including firearms. Worth the visit if you are nearby.
  22. The "shall not be infringed" part has been entirely infringed. Otherwise a simple blanket statement guaranteeing our 2nd amendment right would cover it. While I agree the states shouldn't be run by the federal overlords, the states shouldn't suppress citizens of other states. Becoming a criminal because some misguided loony is ridiculous. It does keep me out of those places though which is ok with me.
