  1. Winner! it is not difficult to see, the start is to fix the cause. Otherwise we will just keep swimming upstream.
  2. I'm a end result type thinker. All of the fluff and minutiae in between I gloss over because it seems logical to me, if we know what our goal is, we the the steps necessary to get there. I don't think guns are the topic at all. Except to address the antis that are in full swing ban mode. Perhaps my limited access to "proficient" firearms owners is limited because most of my interaction has been with military folk. At various levels including spec ops. I do avoid public ranges and game lands though. The bar would need to be high for armed folks in schools, without a doubt. If we have chuckleheads out there sporting arms that shouldn't be, they shouldn't be around schools or me or anyone, inmo. the qualifications for armed teachers should be very intensive. That'll weed out those that shouldn't be armed. This is only a start to address the school safety problems. Otherwise we can keep spending money on bandaid approaches and ignore the root system. The left will not aknowledge the problem. They will only continue with their failed ways, that includes never giving up on banning firearms. After all, that's the problem to them.
  3. I agree. However we are past epidemic. Not just school security but societal decline which is systemic. All things troublesome lead to the takeover of our country by those that wish to implement their beliefs. its well planned and imemented without firing a single shot or picking up a pitchfork. There is no denying this has happened and the only way to stop it is to address it without the cloud of doublespeak. I don't say force a single person to pick up arms to teach. I say make that a prerequisite to the job. Armed security could be used in the interim. This Mess wasn't created overnight and won't be fixed quickly. However it needs to be addressed and not by those that have caused this problem by implementing more laws that are sure to be useless for the purpose of "for the children" at least. Either some of those calling for firearm bans actually believe their failed ideology or its part of their grand scheme. It's tough to tell since honesty and truth have also degraded in this country along with many other things. I would rather my kid be taught and protected by a proficient firearm owner that believes in our constitution than an anti American indoctrinator any day. Those running our schools are not fiscally responsible partly due to federal mandates. Having to hire more people to be armed guards seems like another inefficient plan in the long run. If we don't address the root of the problem, it will never be fixed.
  4. The legislators are stupid because they are more left than not. How about we do two things. One is look at the historical data of the root of the decline in public education as well as society. I would have to believe that is when we started the department of education. You don't keep changing front tires on you car when the alignment is the problem, you fix the problem first. Second, why not make part of being an educator to have the required skills to be proficient in firearms. It could be a qualification, just like when we had the drawdown in the military under Clinton and he cut personnel but not jobs. Collateral duties were plentiful and many were a full time job that you had to keep up in addition to your regular duties. If a prospective teacher doesn't qualify, they don't become a teacher. This would alleviate the overwhelming socialist mentality and probably put a screeching halt to any school shooting but also start to return this once great country towards the correct path. But then again, we could just change the tires.
  5. The XD is a fantastic pistol! I've never had an issue with mine and find it a great fit in my hand and love the fact the magazines hold 13 Rds. The trigger is exceptional! The stock sights are lame and I am thinking about adding night sights to my service model. Cant speak of the Win USA ammo but I've never had any failures in mine with any of the ammo I've tried. Congrats and enjoy!
  6. Ah, I was in the same boat and have found one like you seek. It also has a roof rack and tool boxes. Oddly enough I was going to sell my truck but have recently decided to hold on to it for now. If that changes anytime soon I'll let you know. Im sure you know that the Gen 3 Dodge has an odd size bed. It's curved by the back window and 2"narrower by the tailgate. It took me over a year to find a used one that actually fit but I had to travel to get it. If you're in a rush, buy new. If not search far and wide and you should find one. Good luck!
  7. This proposal is a liberal wet dream! Even my over under with a single trigger would make me a criminal, geez. We need to stop this.
  8. But they could be going to or fro McD's.
  9. Seagulls are at every MacDonalds, in the states! It seems that way at least. Must be the fries Saw three Pelicans today. Then again I'm a bit south at the moment.
  10. Their marketing fail is their quality control. Which is a shame, their innovation is worth taking note. hopefully they will get their crap (or urine) together.
  11. I'll second the Esee, I use mine everyday. I carry a 3 now and The sheath they come with are tight, I find myself using two hands just to make sure I don't cut my shirt or self But I do carry it on my off hand side. There are some fine craftsman around here and I had one of them make me a leather sheath for my Esee-4. It is absolutely fantastic. That is a one handed operation. I recommend that route for any knife you decide to carry. It's hard to beat the quality and value of an Esee as well as the skills of some of our craftsman.

    Folding Glock

I just saw it listed on their website. Getting ready to drive by and thought I'd check if there were any deals worth stopping for. I certainly don't see a need for this though. It is on sale for $1199, yikes!
  13. I'm a big fan of the XD's in .45. I've got a tactical and service model and both are accurate. The grip is better than a glock 21 inmo and trigger is better than any glock ever produced. I would buy one for 399.
  14. Perhaps it's time for another plane load of cash in the middle of the night. Seems to have worked elsewhere.
  15. Sorry to hear he wasn't a good fit. I understand having a dog that follows his nose get out and the stress it creates. My beagle kept getting out of my fenced in yard and I got to the point I gave rewards when someone called me when they found him. Even when they turned them down. He would follow his nose and not come home. I had a heck of a time searching for the little guy. finally one day, I saw him run and jump into the chain link fence and proceed to climb it. A 5' fence! I did manage to keep him from a puppy till old age but I was younger then too. Dont give up Bersa, there is a guy or girl out there that will be a good fit!
  16. Of course. Luckily for them they have a registration database. http://hawaiirifleassociation.org/hawaii-gun-laws/ I dont know if "medical marijuana" is just legalized use of weed or if it is a derivative of marajuana. Such as an oil or some other form of non smoking product. Seems to me like it's just a gun grab.
  17. Memphis is probably a breath of fresh yet damp air from the Gold Coast, welcome! i hear the food out there makes up for the humidity but I dwell to the east. Enjoy your new found freedom!
  18. Congrats! beagles like to follow their nose and not commands, perhaps him being a mix will not be so bad. Great looking little guy you got there!
  19. Congrats! After looking at these I think I need one as well. It looks to be the perfect woods/ yard gun for me. Coyotes are trespassing in record numbers. Ive got a 22mag lever action but the trigger is rough and the barrel is long. Let me know if you use it to hunt anything and how it performed please. The ballistics look good for that barrel and the compact size is just remarkable.
  20. And that's why marriage is the number one cause of divorce! Haha
  21. I've seen numerous CT plates making new homes here. Understandable with the taxes fees and anti freedom laws. Welcome and leave all that crap behind
  22. Damn, that is way cooler than the only military conference I've been to. Although I've seen some stuff that is probably there, we had no firepower. If if you're bored, you're doing it wrong luckilly I was in a country with the best bier in the world! Have fun with the snails and wine. Haha
  23. I don't have one yet but have been reading up on them since I've seen more 22wm in the stores and the PMR has peaked my interest. Others are saying it needs a little TLC out of the box to get it to run smoothly. Main issues are the mags being a bit sticky, the little tiny feed ramp not being smooth and the chamber being a bit tight/rough. When I get one the first thing I plan on doing is polishing the chamber and feed ramp. Then go over the mags to smooth and lube em. Search the web for what others have done and from what I've gathered, if you do those things, it'll run like a 30 round 22 mag banshee should. Good luck and let us know how it works out.
  24. It's as simple as the tax code. All 78k plus pages. It could be one page with one line. Overall we have been dumbed down and are overwhelmingly controlled by the false estate. The first step would be to regain the message with truth and fairness. Don't know how that will happen. Journalists have been removed and puppets have taken over and a small handful have ownership. This bill? I just don't see how a lawless group making more laws to be ignored by more lawless drones will actually do the right thing. Call me silly but it just doesn't make sense to me.
