  1.   I will give that it increases your reaction time.
  2. There's nothing special about cruise on wet roads.
  3. There's also a reason it's called the skyway. You may be riding through clouds. Especially that early in the AM.
  4. Some out or all out, it wouldn't make much difference. The problem's systemic now.
  5. Similar Amount In Dickson Walmart.
  6. I'm more of a fan of the Cherohala myself. The Dragon is nice & technical but a bit relentless and is only 30mph in any case.
  7. You're going all the way to Robinsville and you're not going to ride The Dragon? :)
  8. What shutdown?
  9. Don't forget your cockerney accent.
  10. A bit far for me. Though the Cherohala is always a great ride. May hit the Natchez Trace for a cruise this weekend though.
  11.   It should more have taught you a lesson about the internet. Thick skin mandatory.
  12. It's probably worth having one of those stories to tell even if it's not strictly speaking true. Sticks in the mind better than simply telling the rules.
  13.   Trailer Park Boys. Well worth a watch. This movie wasn't as good as the series.
  14. Was it these guys?
  15. Rule #2 as well, I think.
  16. Hey, you can pay good money for stickers like that.   Now let me hold a Tennessee flag and we can make the site logo.
  17. That's some awful virtual driving going on there.
  18. I am dismayed and upset that I haven't received mine yet  :D :D :D
  19. Yeah, really. It seems that every route I could take home has construction at the moment. Once I'm out of Cool Springs/Franklin, it's a breeze but it's a bear until then. I did find one relatively quiet way home but it adds enough extra distance that any savings cancel out.
  20. I'm not sure. I heard they were just taking bids now. But that's third-hand information so not worth much. I generally avoid the area except when school's out, it's possible to use the bypass from 840 in the morning and it's pretty reasonable (Still not worth heading south in the evening though). I will say that Franklin->Fairview on 96 is usually a nice drive both ways.
  21. Doesn't look like it's missed many meals. Probably just getting used to people.
  22. I could get behind that. Though that's a lot of traveling. Perhaps we could all meet up to do it. Say... Starbucks? ;)
  23. God forbid that would happen (I leave it to the wise to work out which bit I'm referring to).
  24. Especially since they knew 840 would be opening. And they had plenty of time thanks to all the delays on that. If I recall other construction projects, I think they typically complete the overpasses and other such work before they work on the widening but who knows?
