Bloomberg's group has to resort to trying to get sorts celebrities and Tinsel Town Hollywood celebrities to promote his agenda because he cannot get enough of the general public to support his agenda. Every time one of these celebrities supports him they don't realize they lose 1000's of fans. Every time I hear of one either in sports or Hollywood support his policy I boycott that person from that point on ..........jmho

Kasey spent the night under my bed. Back when she was a puppy and even up to about 4 years old she loved staying out in her dog house during some really serious storms even when I would try and get her to come in. Now it can thunder 25 miles from here and sun shining here and she is scratching at the door wanting in. That tells me a rain storm is in the area. All the time she is in she it almost tied to my leg when I move around the house. We got a little wind and some rain was about all last night but I did lay in bed and watch for the all clear. Hope ya'll that have property in the damage areas come out unscathed as possible................ :up: 

Well, I guess I will throw my 2 cents in here. I have been around guns all my life and my wife that passed away in 97 had not been. After a short time she was at the range with me shooting guns till she found the one she felt the most comfortable with. It was a 380 caliber. She shot all of my guns and that was the one she settled on. So that was what I bought her. She carried it with her all the time as she was a Home Health Care Nurse and sometimes had to come home late at night. We would go to the range monthly to stay crisp.   At the present time I own a couple heavy caliber hand guns and have ammo for all of them yet I choose to carry a Model 85 380 Bersa. As I have gotten older and my poor health has began to so up more I am more comfortable with the 380 than I would be with a 1911 or a Tokarev.............jmho    I also wish more women would get involved in firearms, not necessarily because I consider them a weaker sex but because they would be able to defend themselves in situations that they would other wise be a victim. I would also like to read posts from lady shooters and get their views on things. My son taught his wife to shoot everything he owns which is quit a number of long and hand guns. She also prefers a smaller caliber firearm so she also chose a 380. Mind you she is 5"1' and weighs about 100 pounds but I saw her shoot her 380 and I damn sure would not want her shooting at me.   Now with that said I also think that there are probably many men out there that would rather not have a girlfriend or a wife that knows about guns or has one of their own. I think most of it is a complex some men have about a firearm is a manly thing which is a crock of crap. It is not a man thing. It is a choice thing to them.   I say welcome to all lady shooters and hope we have more of them join and contribute to our forums................... :up:  :up:  :up:  

If I was 45 years younger I would consider moving to Alaska. I have been there twice back when I was much much younger and had I not been married I might have just stayed there..............jmho

All nut cases like this do is cast a dark shadow over all the rest of the Pro Gun groups and give the anti's more ammunition to use in their propaganda agenda's..............jmho

I have found that in Tennessee when we have weather like this in December we get a payback in January and February and sometimes in March to make up for the warm December. I just don't like the weather like this in winter because when storms show up they normally will have tornadoes with them. They are calling for some bad stuff today here and tonight. Hope it's just rain and maybe wind........... :ugh:  :ugh:

Didn't plan on going to Virginia any time soon so no great loss to be but I know a lot of folks that ahve family there that will be pissed for sure. I wonder if Tennessee will answer back and not let Virginians carry here............. :shrug:

Well I survived the first day but last night really sucked. Didn't get much rest at all. My Nose got stopped up and couldn't breath through my mouth long enough to stay asleep more than about 30 minutes and then up again. Won't be taking any more Nyquil. That stuff drys you out and stops up your nose bad. A buddy of mine went and got the meds the doctor called in for me and I began taking them yesterday evening. Hope they kick in today................. :up: 

I think I am plagued as far as being sick on Holidays David. When I had my stroke in 1997 it was on Thanksgiving Weekend. When I had my heart attack it was also on Thanksgiving weekend in 2006 and last year I went in for simple UTI infection on December 18th and learned I had a grocery list of illnesses that I don't believe I had and they cleared up the UTI in an hour with IV antibiotics and went back to normal color urine before they could even get me in a room. I just don't trust all these new doctors.   I think it is the almighty dollar that drives them today and not the actual care of the patient.  If you have insurance be prepared to become a Grocery store for them to shop in. If you don't they shove some pills at you and send you packing................jmho

  Thanks very much for the concern folks as it is very much appreciated. I explained in earlier post how I feel about most doctors these days and I have contacted mine and she has told me what to do and is calling me in something that will take care of it. She said she has seen a rash of this in past week to 10 days and says there is no sense in me driving 70 miles one way for this when I have to see her in mid January anyway for my semi annual checkup. I got my Flu shot and Pneumonia shot back in October so should be good to go there. 

A friend of mine stopped by this morning and called his wife and ask her what I should take since she is a nurse. She said Alka Selzer Plus Cold and Nyquil so he is headed to the store to pick me some up. Said take the Alka Selzer for day time and NyQuil at night. Said just get rest and take meds and should be good to go before Christmas. Hope shes right cause I feel like....   Last time I went to have something checked out I was put in Hospital and they used my body as a grocery store and said they found all these bad things I didn't know I had and still not convinced I actually had them but was put on meds for life to treat them before I could get out of there and had to have surgery a month after Christmas last year for an aneurysm that they never showed me a picture of it yet they said they found it on a CT scan and it was the size of an orange. My personal Doctor had to threaten to sue them to get what few reports they sent her which she still has never seen pictures of the aneurysm and she said that she was my doctor for 18 years and she never had any tests come back showing I was type 2 diabetic yet the doctors in the hospital said I was and put me on meds before I could get out of there and get a second opinion.    I just do not trust these so called doctors anymore. Everyone of them are connected to a number of Tri-Star hospitals and all their offices are for the most part located on hospital property. My family doctor surrendered her privileges to practice at Tri-Star Hospitals because she does not approve of the way they do business. That's good enough for me.......................... :up: 

Well, I got my Secret Santa gift this morning. It is a Visa Gift Card and I am very happy to receive it. I have always said you cannot go wrong with cash when trying to find someone a gift you don't know well. Have not had a cold in probably 15 years and woke up this morning with head and chest cold and sore throat from hell. Can anyone recommend what they take for common colds that works for them? I have not bought anything in such a long time I don't even know whats out there that works????? Thanks

My eyes will never be the same again. Things like this should be illegal or come with warning labels that says "Open at your own risk." .................. :shake: :shake:

Ok, now I have a question about this. I had a K5 79 Blazer back in the mid 80's and when I went to the manual lock outs from full time I also had to replace a slide unit in the transfer case to make it work. Is that not required on the newer models with full time units when you convert to Manual lock out hubs?................... :dunno:

I am a Bears fan actually. Just can't bring myself to be a Titan fan but would like to see them do better than they do...... :hiding:

  I have or had quite a few somewhat liberal friends that have owned firearms long before Obama got elected. Most of them for the purpose of Hunting and we did hunt a lot together. I would say in the last 4 or 5 years they have purchased more and more hand guns and some a few black rifles. A few of them have even changed their political views and last time voted Republican. Some of them even went through the class and got HCP's   I have spoke with them recently and they said there is no way in hell this could vote for Hillary and don't really care for Trump but will vote for him if he is the guy. Most of them say they would like to see Cruz get the nod................. :shrug:

I would not say it was an off duty police office but may be. I would say it could have also have been ex military as they also would react in a similar manner as a trained officer would. I even know some people that are neither one that have been through training and a lot of practice that would react in a similar nature. Dang sure didn't take his partner long to get gone..... :bowrofl:   I'm just glad it turned out as it did............... :up: :up: mark up one for the good guys............ :cheers:

  I couldn't get 28 people in my house and be able to move. 10 makes it really crowded and if my family was to all show up including grand children I would probably have about 50+ people.   I did have a family gathering here about 5 years ago but was an outdoor affair and we cooked out and a family member provided a whole hog and we did an old fashion Pit Bar-B-Que and everyone brought something and had it not been for a few friends that loaned me about 60 folding chairs and 3 long folding tables most folks would have been sitting on the ground people. I did get a warning citation from city for my fire I had to make coals to cook the hog but they told me I would not have to put it out and could finish the cook out.   I sent hog home with everyone that came and still ended up freezing about 90lbs. Was a great time for me but won't try it again............ :up:  :up:

Thanks my friend and the same same back to you and yours. My Christmas will be fine as long as the family spends time at any ones house but mine........... :rofl:   I love my family so don't get me wrong. I just don't love to have them all at my house at the same time... :rock:  

I spoke to my son this morning about your issue. He suggested a good cleaning and repacking of the front hubs should fix your problem. He also added that with the first cold weather here that could cause the old grease to not allow the hubs to engage. He also suggested that a few times a year during even the warmer months for you ti engage your 4X4 units for about a mile to help keep them lubricated for the times when you do need them...........Hope this helps............. :up:
