Lights flickered a couple times here in Gallatin last night and I had all back up lights in place just in case. Got some pretty bad winds for about 30 minutes and rain was blower from west to east but front was a fast mover and from the time the wind arrived until all clear came in Gallatin was about 40 minutes total. After that is was just rain. Went out and checked the roof and trees and no damage...................... :up:

That was not even an argument. That was just Charlie Sheen proving to the world that he has smoked so much Mary Jane that he has next to zero brain cells functioning. He is also calling the kettle black because he also got booted from 2 1/2 men for his stupidity and not for saying anything about any one....................jmho

If I am not mistaken contracts work for both sides and if A&E made the first step to void the contract by removing Phil from the show over an issue not directly connected to the show itself that, I would think open the door for the entire family to walk away. Of course it depends on how the contract was written but surely it would protect both sides or they would not have signed it..............JMHO

I think I have all I need but then how many guns does it require to protect you and your home. I have 5 semi auto  pistols in 2 different calibers and 2 long guns both in 22 Mag WMR. I would like to own a 20 gauge semi auto shotgun with Improved cylinder barrel for OO buck or slugs but other than that I'm  comfortable with what I have. I have shopped the 20 gauges some but everyone must think the ones they have are layered in gold with the prices they have on them..........jmho

Back when my wife was alive there was a nightlight in every room in the house and I swear she had better ears than the dogs cause she would hear things that would not even make the dogs bark but yet I had to get up and go check the house. I real miss doing that cause I miss her........... :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:

Who knows? This all may have been a plan by the Robertson's themselves to try and break a contract with A&E itself. I mean here is a family that already had plenty of money and a TV show and after learning what A&E was all about and figure out it was not all it was suppose to be they may have decided to just dump A&E and go back to their old ways. After all, they are country folks first and maybe they just got tired of everything in their lives being public...................jmho   No time to Duck hunt!!!!!

If it was not for people like Mr. Snowden we would probably still not know about it. I think it is important that our Government does try and protect our country from terrorists and they like to throw numbers around about how many terrorist attacks that have prevented with their spy games but we have not heard about any of the ones they prevented except for the ones that normal folks exposed like the Time Square bomber and the Shoe Bomber and oh yea, the Underwear Bomber but again, they were caught by just plain folks but only after all the bombs failed. All their spying they were doing didn't stop the shoe bomber and the underwear bomber from getting on those planes. They didn't stop that guy from parking that SUV in Time Square. And of course we know they didn't prevent those brothers from setting of the bombs in Boston. So I would like to know just which ones they did stop with all this invasion of privacy they have been doing? ..........................jmho

Thanks for the input as I have researched it a little and it is like most all beliefs. It just depends on who's writings you read and it could go either way. I almost believe he felt he was going to Heaven in his last minutes because their was a peace about him and on his face like he no longer was in fear of dying but I still think about it from time to time.

I have a dog (Kasey) Plus no wife so bed never hardly ever gets made and I only sleep under one semi light blanket and while exiting the bed I already have my gun in one hand. I also sleep in a totally dark house which puts me at the advantage because I walk through it every night in the dark either going to let Kasey out if she needs out, to the kitchen for a bottle of water or rest room. The bad guy is either going to have to use a light of some type or turn one on and that will be when I end his or their career..................jmho

I really liked their old show much better and quit watching it when they went to the new story line with A&E. I liked it when they hunted a lot more................jmho

Lets face it. There has been battles over religion in one form or another since the beginning of time. Sometimes these battles actually have led to real bloody wars killing thousands of people. The last one took place on 9/11/2001 when a  group of Radical Islamic extremists flew planes into the twin towers, pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania while clutching the Koran in their hands and praying to Allah to have their Virgins ready for them when they arrived. In all honesty killing thousands of people just for a few Virgins as a reward. That my friends is just how crazy religions can get. So when someone raises a fuss about something said about another persons religious beliefs just go back to 9/11/2001 and remember just how far some religions will go to prove a point.  Then ask yourself how far are you willing to go to prove a point about your religion?.........................jmho

I really don't care either way about their spying game. Snowden did what he did because he was tired of being a snoop and thought folks should know it. Evidently the Federal courts feel the same way.  If it gives them pleasure fine. I don't have anything to hide and if I did I would not put it on a website, email, Text message, or talk about it on a phone. Wouldn't even put it in a snail mail letter. If I have something to say I will say it face to face to that person if it's that much of a secret.............jmho

Well, I think everyone has their own beliefs when it comes to religion and I can respect each and every one of them because I do believe that if I judge any one persons beliefs to be right or wrong I will also be judged. "Judge les ye be judged by the Lord God". That is why I will never be judgmental of anyone's beliefs. An experience I had while in Nam gave me the most clear sight of what my future should be. I was holding the hand of a wounded soldier knowing he was dying and also knowing he was a die-hard atheist. He looked at me and said, I am not going to make it am I? I would not lie to him and I said probably not, trying not to just be blunt. He then said something that caught me totally off guard. He said, I wish I could go to Heaven but I know I won't. I had to ask him cause I had to know. I said do you believe in Heaven and God. His words totally blew me away. He said yes and said I knew I could not live by his rules so I chose not to follow him. About 10 seconds later he died. Now I don't know about much and I won't say one way or the other but one quote in the bible immediately jump into my head.  It is  "He who believeth in me shall not parish but have ever lasting life" So since that day I have always wondered if that young Private would go to Heaven. He did believe in Heaven and he did believe in GOD but just declared himself an atheist just because he didn't live by GODS rules. I don't think I will ever forget that 15 or so minutes I got to spend with him. And I don't guess I will ever know the answer but I think about it from time to time when discussions like this come up.........jmho. 

I also have a lot of gay friends and they were also silent through the Chik filet ordeal and yep a few of my friends and I went along and we ate at the one here in Gallatin and they said nothing except they liked the sandwiches and we talked about their last bass tournament they fished. As far as I am concerned when it comes to political correctness, I am not sure just when all of that came about because my memory is not all that good any more but if anyone expects me to be politically correct I am sure their feelings are going to get hurt..............jmho

Jesus never addressed gays because his father did long before Jesus was born in Genesis 18:16-19:29. which discusses the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah....................So yes it does depend on which version of the Bible you read but in the original versions it is addressed..........not posting this as a reason of discrimination because I am not one that is a judge of others...........Just addressing an issue in a post............jmho

Well, I guess I will say that in this world are many different types of people who believes what they want to believe and that is their own business. If someone wants to say something that may be offensive to someone else I say let them say it. I also believe that if another is offended by it let them also speak out and say how they also feel. That is what this country is based on is the right for each person to effectively speak freely because our Constitution's 1st amendment gives each individual that right.  I fought for this country in our military to make sure that our rights as a free nation will continue and I would fight again if able to make sure it remains a free nation of the people by the people and for the people. Now as for A&E. They own that network and they have the right to remove or discontinue any show at any time on their network of their choosing. Do I think it will be good if they remove Duck Dynasty? Only time will tell that. As far as the Robertson's, They have chosen to remain a solid family and It looks like all the rest of the family will be standing by Phils statements which in turn gives me the utmost respect for the family. Blood is always thicker than water. I am quite sure they have already began receiving many offers from other networks requesting they come to their network so I am quite sure Duck Dynasty will prevail and A&E will be the losers................jmho

It may be a typo but their is no way on Gods green earth anyone can bore and stroke a 305 out to a 383 and still have any block left. Even if you bored a 305 out 120 thousandths which is the maximum it could be bored and still have any walls at all would be about  318 I use to race circle track cars and built all my own motors from scratch and if I punched out a  327 30 over it was a 331. If I punched out a 350 30 over it was a 356. If you go any more than 60 over your gonna make a blow pop out of your motor and I don't recommend anything over 30 for highway.and then you need to increase your radiator by at least 1 core to make sure it runs cold enough. Then you still may need to add an external tranny cooler. if the right person were to rebuild your 305 it could remain 305 and the HP could be pumped up by 18 to 25% just by putting the right parts in it with out any boring of the block.............jmho

Anything is possible for sure but the stuff don't glow in the dark so who knows.  I just know that what they use it for. One of them makes Jig fishing baits and the other one make bullets for his reloads.  The lead is so pure they both have to add wheel weights to it and create Babbitt lead in order to use it................. :dunno: :dunno:

Well, you sold me on one and I'm not even looking at buying a car............... :up:  I use to work at a Ford dealer back when I was a mechanic and I do know that there are certain times of each month you can walk into a dealership and not just Ford but any of them and if they are only a few units sold short of making a huge and I mean huge unit sold bonus from the Manufacturer they will almost take any deal they can get to just move the few cars needed for that bonus. They are like huge rebates to the dealers if they can move x amount of cars in a month. I worked for Town & Country Ford back when it was Connally Ford and they won a bonus every month for two years before they sold out. If folks knew when that bonus time was close they could get good deals every time. Thing is only the Car dealership owners know what time of the month it will begin and end and it's not every month in some areas of the country and every month in other areas. It was more like a game the Manufacturers used to pit dealers against dealers to sell more cars I think...................jmho
