Well, I have again ran scenarios of many different situations that could take place in and around my home. If I had to shoot an intruder in my home and had called the police that last thing I would want in my hand when they arrived would be my gun. My hands would be empty and in very plain site for the officers to see period. Now I have no clue if the guy panicked or what but it is clear he was not thinking clearly at all. That is what has always concerned me over the past years since more and more HCP's are being issued. I really wonder how many people could actually take a human life and still retain common since as to what comes next? I wonder how many armed citizens will hesitate when that time may come and end up getting killed. I know many HCP people are ex military and at one time or another have had to take a human life. I realize that is combat most folks think it's different. Folks, let me make on thing quite clear. When it comes time to act and take your first life it makes no difference if it is on a field of war or in your living room the feelings n your gut are no different. Either way you have just taken your first human life and you cannot prepare for those feelings. But with that said you have to remain focused immediately after it happens. Yea in most cases your first will possibly make you sick or send your mind racing about what comes next and what do I do now? Planning for it like I said is almost impossible but you will get through it if you remain focused. This man is dead because he went ballistic instead or focusing on what comes next. You need to constantly think about these scenarios over and over until you have trained your self to stay focused on that moment. It could be the difference between life and death for you just like the article written above.........jmho

Well I have heard time after time that the ACA was a bill agreed on by both sides of the isle. How can that be when Pelosi and her Democratic cronies locked out any and all Republicans out of the debate when the bill was being created. How can both sides agree when one was locked out. I remember when that monster was being drafted and it was over Christmas Break when Pelosi at the time Speaker of Congress with that mallet ordered her democrats to remain in Washington on Christmas break until they had a Bill for Obama to sign after Holiday Break. Then when they finally left for holiday and came back on January 3rd the Botox queen placed the bill in front of Obama. He asked her what was in it and she proudly said you will have to sign it to learn what is in it. Well Stupid is as Stupid does, he whipped out those 12 pens and proceeded to sign a bill into law that he had no clue what he was signing. Now again someone tell me how it was a joint effort by both sides of the isle to create the monster. If it would have been a  bill designed and created by both sides they would not be fighting it so hard right now to stop it...................jmho

well 6.8 I tend to agree with you to a point but when you say we are no longer an ally of Israel I think you missed the mark just a little. Obama may not be an ally of Israel but they still have the full support of the American people and if Israel needs our help you can bet the American people will not sit back and let the POS in the White House not send assistance to them........... jmho

I think folks got a real taste of what they can expect yesterday when the web site got overwhelmed and shut down several times and most folks gave up trying to sign up or get any information on it. I was listening to bits and pieces of it and they kept talking about this big hub on the site that would give you a price your insurance policy "MIGHT" cost but could not give you an exact cost so in all reality it was just guessing but they admitted that it could be off as much as 25 to 35% of what your actual cost will be and that could go either way. As of right now I have not seen 1 positive thing come out of this as of today's reports. My concern is not getting insurance because I have Medicare and a supplement policy. My main concern is of what I am hearing about the doctors that are not going to sign up to accept it and how many doctors are just going into retirement. We are losing doctors like flies in winter. My doctor has cut back on her patient count. Has quit making hospital rounds and paying a hospital for practicing privileges so any patients that needs hospital care will get what ever doctors are practicing at said hospital. I asked her last time we spoke and she said I will continue to be one of her patients as long as she keeps her private practice which took a big burden off of me.  

I was alarmed when you said a burning smell. I really would look farther than just a lint issue. Have had lint issues in the past but none ever smelled like something burning. Just be on a cautious side for a while after you restart the dryer to make sure that is your only issue. Could be shorted heater coils or drum belt burning out or pulley bearing going bad. Could even be motor that turns drum. Not trying to be an alarmist but don't want your home to burn down either.....jmho

With this point well explained has anyone ever wondered why it is called a magazine. Magazines is mostly relating to reading material so around knowledgeable gun owners they would think your referring to some book. Now we come to the word clip. I all reality that word does refer more to what we call magazines because after all a Magazine does clip into the lock in the gun........ :ugh:  So in all reality which sounds more logical yet is is just the opposite so go figure......... :rofl:  :rofl:  

    I didn't know or don't know how many people may know this but anytime you are in your own car or any car registered to you and you are pulled over by a LEO for a traffic violation before he ever leaves his patrol car he knows if you have a carry permit or not. I never knew that till a buddy of mine that is an LEO told me that your license plate on your car is also tied to your HCP just like your drivers license is. I also learned that about 3 years ago when I got pulled over for speeding and the Officer was very polite and asked for my drivers license and registration and proof of insurance. After he looked them over he handed them back to me and said he stopped me for doing 7mph over the limit and said I needed to slow down and that was all. As he began to walk away he came back and asked me what kind of gun I was carrying. I thought it was kind of a strange question but I told him a Bersa 380 cal. He said pretty nice gun. I have one of them and they are nice and he said have a nice day and walked off. I thought it was kind of odd but just let it go and went home.

I have a few friends that carry and shoot the 7.62x25 Tokarev's and they said they always have to look and see what may be beyond their targets when using FMJ ammo because of collateral damage.

I may want to get this clear before I mention to much but if your talking about an old chimney that has stood for a lot of years you may want to have the flue in the chimney checked before you put a fire in it. We did something similar back in 1967 when we moved down from Chicago and put 2 wood stoves in because we had two old chimney's, one on each end of the old house and damn near burn the house down because the old flues caught on fire in the chimney's.....

Now that was one great speech and the teleprompters worked flawlessly. No doubt, best speech he has had since getting elected. It made perfect sense...........jmho

I think Fitzpatrick will be able to hold his own. He is a seasoned quarterback and has proven he can get the job done and he did a good job with coming fresh off the bench cold Sunday. I think with a week of working out as starting quarterback he will do what is necessary to get a win..jmho

I watched Fox news last night right up to and after the shut down came and I watched Harry Reid make several little wise cracks about just 1 small portion of the House controlling the entire House and it was the Tea Party and a few Tea party elected Senators and House Representatives holding the entire country hostage. Now his statements can only mean 1 of 2 things. Either 1 is he is trying to blame the Tea Party for sending these people to Washington or he is saying that the Tea Party is powerful enough to control the direction this country is headed in. Either way he has admitted that in his own pea brain mentality Obama and the Democrats actually are afraid of the Tea Party and how strong it is and what is represents which is the real and actual voice of the people. Ted Cruz is a Tea party supported elected Senator and lets face facts, Cruz is voicing the opinions and desires of the people and the Democrats are voicing nothing but what is best for them and to hell with what the people want. Plain and simple...........jmho

I love the way this administration just grabs numbers out of thin air which by the way always are in their favor and throw them into the laps of the main stream media for them to put on their networks. Last week I was talking to a friend of mine even though he did vote for Obama the first time. He use to have an Obama/Biden bumper sticker on his truck. I asked him the other day where it went. He said he removed it because he was ashamed for anyone to know he voted for him. He said several of his other friends that voted for him the first time didn't vote for him the second time and they all also have removed the stickers from their vehicles. I actually have been looking while out driving and I have yet in the last year or so to see 1 car wearing an Obama sticker on their vehicle. So I would like to know where this administration is coming up with all these great big numbers of people in favor of Obama and his cronies except in the main stream media. All I'm hearing is his numbers are falling, not climbing...........jmho

My father was a WWII vet and I am thrilled that these people showed their class and dignity that they have always had. I salute them for standing up once again against an establishment against all that is good for their country we all love so much..........jmho

When I was in the beginning years of school and through most of high School during Home Room I recited the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag which was a Pledge of Allegiance to my country and not to some dictator or wanna be dictator. Hitler forced people to Pledge of Allegiance also and it was a pledge directed directly to him and not to the Country of Germany and we all know where that led...........jmho  

They punish these brave men for doing almost nothing wrong and they do nothing about the troops that are being shot in the back and killed by the very people they are suppose to be training to take over the country when they finally get brought home. What s wrong with that picture? As far as i'm concerned all of our troops need to be extracted out of all of those stone age nations and let them just continue to kill off each other and each one that is dead is one less we have to worry about someday attacking America..........jmho

I have to email accounts. 1 with yahoo and 1 with Gmail and I have not had issues with either one except that yahoo makes changes and slams you with them whether you want the or not....

I think he should have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor for disorderly conduct anyway. He is probably one of those busy bodies that has his nose stuck in everyone else's business and needs to be taught a lesson............jmho

Well Sarah Palin has never be bashful about saying whats on her mind and many times I actually enjoy listening to her speak. She has that plain down to earth language that most everyone can understand. Also she will seldom ever not speak her mind which in many cases is very refreshing....jmho

Very caring thoughts for sure. I salute you and all of your friends for this action. I use to shave my head all the time till I got much older. My first shave was done at a barber shop and done with a barber and straight razor. Once it was done it was really easy to maintain. I learned it's a lot easier to wash your face than wash your hair in the shower. Plus no shampoo cost for a long time......Prayers going out for your friend and also for you guys stepping up to the plate him to show your support.

Okay Look at it this way. Obama said if you like your insurance plan you can keep it.( he did not tell you it would be going up 200%+) He just said you can keep it. He said if you like the doctor you have you can keep them.( he didn't mention that there are about 70% of the doctors opting out of the ACA and many of them are retiring rather than go through all the hassle of the ACA plan) He said that the ACA would be affordable to everyone.( It is now coming to light that there is only about 15% of Americans that will qualify for it) He said you can stay on your parents plan till age 26. ( he didn't tell you that if you do that your parents health insurance premiums would be going up as much as 300% making it unaffordable for them to pay forcing you to get off the plan and buy the ACA plan). His plan is dependent on forcing millions of young healthy people who don't have coverage now to buy a policy on the ACA plan which in turn will be used to help pay for the people up in years that cannot afford the plan. If the young healthy people don't buy the policies as planned by Obama the ACA plan is in trouble. I sincerely hope that all of the young healthy individuals that have never had health insurance choose to pay the $95.00 penality because it will not be enough to support the ACA and it will begin to implode. The American people are now getting a taste of just what this train wreck is going to be by 2016 and some poor sucker that gets elected as President is left to face the train wreck because Obama set it up for after he is out of office before it takes full effect and the train goes over the cliff. Also to add insult to injury he has adjusted the bill so many times since the Supreme Court ruled on the original Bill as it was written that by law the bill should be null and void but yet it is not. He has written over 1200 exemptions to the law allowing many people to be exempted from the program including himself and his family and all of Washington Bureaucrats. If the bill was so great why are the people in Washington exempt?  Just some things to think about and................jmho 

Well, I guess the Republicans are getting the blame for everything and Harry Reid called the Tea Party out as the driving force behind all the problems which caused the Shut down of part of Government. In doing so all he did was show just how much power the Tea party is wheeling in this country and it is going to help it grow even grow stronger because now folks are realizing that the Tea Party is in fact the main voice of the people and Reid admitted that last night without even knowing it. I have been a member of the Tennessee Tea party since it began and I am proud to be one. Since Reid's speech last night about 11 PM I expect to see all the Tea Parties in every state begin to grow in large numbers before 2014..........jmho

I think a lot of that comes from the car advertising on TV where they tell you the car will stop on a dime and give 90 cents in change and people are stupid enough to believe it. Tire companies promise the same thing. In all honesty the new anti-lock braking systems actually takes longer to actually stop a car then the old original 4 wheel disc brake system did without anti-lock. If the computer in the new anti-lock brake system even blinks your in a crash so how much do you trust your computerized brakes. I drive old Jeep Cherokees because they don't have anti-lock brakes.

That stretch between Two rivers and McGavock Pike us to be a speed trap from hell for the biker cops. I have seen times their would be 10 Bike cops writing tickets through there. I guess some politician had a stop put to it cause I ain't seen a bike cop in that area for about 3 years now.

Looks like something from Hollywood. Resembles a Star Ship Troopers Helmet with a face shield added.............jmho
