I have never thought even back years ago when my boys were in school that the schools got a lot of the money that got collected so probably the same or worse today.........IMO

Definately sounds like he does take his job very serious and I wonder if his deputies carry more ammo than they use to...... Didn't sound like they had enough last time. IMHO I don't think it would hurt to have a few more like him around.

Magazines, Do people still read them things? I get one every month for being an NRA member and I give it to my grandson as he is the newest gun lover in the family. He reads everything in them. He is looking for a good Varmint gun w/ optics that he can afford. At 13 years old he does every odd job he can find to put money back for one.

Well evidently the people of Polk County like him if he has been sheriff 12+ years and they keep voting him in. I read the story of the shooting and one line that was reported and I had to go back and look again. Boek got out of a "LARGE" pickup truck and threatened to shoot the driver. It looked like a plain 1500 series 1/2 ton pickup to me but I could be wrong!

I guess in order to prevent this trend from continuing they are going to have to use a permanent marker that reads "Exit Only" and stamp them when a baby girl is born and make sure it remains till at least age 18 at least.......JMHO

It sounds like they have shootings and guns found in schools all included in their stats. I hear many times of guns being found in Back Packs but not actually discharged. It is mentioned many times on News Channel 5 at 5 about a gun found in a students back pack, even in grammer schools. If they are putting those together with actual school shootings they might get closer to that figure........JMHO

First off I want to say I'm sorry about the Chigger attack!!!! Sounds like you will be on Bendryl tabs for a while and the Bendryl Pump bottle spray will help alot also. Good luck with that! You are suppose to frog gig from a jon boat, canoe, Kayak etc etc. Gigging from the bank will never be productive. A buddy and I used to go about twice a month on a Saturday night on one of his small lakes on his farm from a jon boat and I was gigging and he was bagging. I would gig the frog and put the gig over my shoulder and he would pull the frog and put it in a burlap bag. We would get 35 to 40 every trip. We did have one night my buddy Derby went swimming. It was purely accidental but I gigged a frog but along with the frog I gigged a Cottonmouth and both of them went to the back of the boat and Derby dove out of the boat to get way from the snake. It was funny when it happened but I was required to check the gig end before going over the shoulder from then on. We still laugh about that when we get together which is seldom these days but we had some fun times.

Yea, when they begin to allow the background checks to begin dipping beyond where the courts allow them to go it will be a whole different story and then they will not want that part of back ground checks allowed. They can't have it both ways they either get all the background in mental health or none.....JMHO

Most of my friends ride Harleys but I have a couple buddies that ride Crotch Rockets and they all 4 of them use Howards Honda in Donelson. I have also not heard anything bad about Sloans. Hope you get it fixed without and arm and leg.

I guess that makes sense but I kind of thought mental Illiness is mental Illiness whether a judge says it or a doctor says it. If thats the case and a doctor declares you a raving lunatic and says you need to be in a mental hospital you can still legally buy a gun but if a judge says it then you can't. That just does not sound like they are doing a very good job with the mental issues of gun ownership huh?............JMHO

Do you Frog Gig from the bank?

Well I went from 2 birds to about 20 birds and had to put up feeders I had taken down and only had 2 up. Now I have 6 back up and birds fighting like crazy. I thouht they might just be passing through but have had them about 8 or 9 days now so should have these till the migration.............

I think what everyone wanting to sell a firearm( hand gun) inside the state needs to weigh their options very carefully. Doing it in any way other than by the book could buy you the farm. How much is it worth to try and save 25 or 30 bucks verses untold amounts in lawyers fees and loss of any priviledges you have now in the future. To me it's just not worth taking the chance. If the seller is not willing to pay what ever fees and the buyer is not willing to pay fees to do it legally then is it really worth it????? I think NOT but that is JMHO

You are 100% dead on about Nashville. When I moved to Gallatin 20 years ago the drive out hwy 31 was filled with beautiful farms with cattle grazing in pastures. Since I have moved here which is Sumner County there are no more beautiful farms, No more pastures and no cows. There are apartment complexes and housing developements on both sides of the road and no they are not the affordable housing type either. I callled about a 1 bedroom apartment and the rent is $1,500.00 + utilities. That is more than I draw on my Social Security a month so what part of affordable is it? The houses being built are 4000 Sq Ft or bigger so I would not even venture to guess wat one of those would cost. Every election cycle I hear about needing more affordable housing!!! Can someone tell me what is considered affordable. It damn sure ain't $1,500.00 a month + utilities...................

Your family members were smart and got the hell out. These young people actually went in. Most people that are civilians that go into those countries have a military or private security Team escort them in and out and sometimes even that turns bad.

I think thats a lot of the issue Garufa. I'm not sure how many true Nashvillians still live in Nashville. The ones that are need to put 1 hell of a Committee together and call it Saving Nashville and begin getting signatures now to strip the politicians of any power they may think they have. After that last Mistress/Mayor making deals under the table and trying to keep Commerce in the dark till it was almost done went up in her flaming bed of passion!!! The person that filled her seat, I think it was her vice Mayor Does not have a clue how to run anything so they better get someone smart enough to keep Nashvile from going up with the flaming hot bed from the former Mayor...........JMHO

I take Darby for a walk in the park most every other day and some times 2 or 3 days in a row and it is during the week so seldom any of many people there and most are fishing but I never go unarmed. The Park in Corp property and not posted except no alcohol allowed and it closes at 10PM except for fishing. Most of the time it is the same bunch of folks fishing or just walking or jogging. A stranger does stand out pretty quick and is watched pretty closely. The park is a dead end into Old Hickory Lake so most folks that go there are all local and live right on the road going to the park or neighborhood. There are several others that pack heat as we have all talked at one time or another just getting to know each other. Would not turn out well for anyone that might want to start trouble. It's what I call one of my safe places while out in public with Darby..............JMHO

You and I both know they will not only have their dirty little hands in it. They will give away what ever it takes to get them here. They will be up to their knees in it. It was already broadcast this morning that the Former Mayor had been wheeling and dealing under the table on it before she got caught in bed with a guy and was not with her hubby!!!!

That was ot the only Cash Cow!! They have the big Flea Market there every month, They have the Boat and Fising Show there every January, They have the race track that holds races every Saturday during the Spring thru Fall season that fills the grandstand every Saturday night, They have the State fair there every year for many years. What about all the people that live in that area that is against it. They are doing their best to change Nashville from Music city to some type of Sports Wonderland!!! I agree with you also in trying to get anywhere downtown Nashville anymore and not just on weekends. My SIL works down there and he said it is a nightmare just trying to get out of town to go home. What use to take him 30 minutes now is 1.5 to 2 hours. Whats next? maybe and NBA franchise huh? Surely we can build them an Arena to play Basket Ball in!!!!!!!!.............JMHO

I think loss of life in any event where young people die is a terrible loss and I do have feelings for the families of these kids. They have to live with their loss of their loved one forever and the way these young people die is particularly bad but it was what I considered a self inflicted death just like any other suicide which is pretty much what this was. There was zero chance they would make the complete trip. I wonder if they knew that before that set out on this trip?

Thats my point exactly. Hell Nissan Stadium will seat 69,000 people and if they need something larger Neyland Stadium will hold 102,000 people so why build another. Vanderbiilt Stadium will seat 40, 000. We already have places they could play. The reason for the new Stadium is part of the contract to even qualify for a MLS team to be considered. Like I said, just how bad to we need a MLS team in Tennessee?????

Because like the US auto makers they also ran out of auto designers years ago and have gone the cookie cutter route also.............JMHO

How many folks here think Tennessee needs a Soccer team and a new stadium for it? I am not a Soccer fan so I am against having one and spending that kind of money plus tearing down the Fair Grounds to build it..............Just curious on everyones thoughts on it
