  1. Robert Johnson was a great blues singer and guitar player and yea I knew about him. My Grandmother spoke of him and his music as she loved the blues while I was growing up. It seems to me but not sure but wasn't he suppose to have sold his soul to the Devil to be able to do something with music? Seems my grandmother told someone that one time and I over heard her say it. Never heard what it was.
  2. RIP Aretha Franklin You will surely be missed and I have enjoyed your music most of my life.
  3. If they were seeking attention they found it. Not the good kind but none the less it was attention............JMHO
  4. That sir is a question that I don't think has an answer................JMHO
  5. LOL........If I ever retired the idea of 380 Carry I would not be able to carry at all and I just don't see anything light about the 380 Caliber like some folks do........
  6. The terrible decision was qitting their jobs. Anything that followed that was just plain old stupidity.............JMHO
  7. Yea a couple buddies of mine have some of them and they like them a lot. They said that they do like batteries though so need to keep a stock of batteries around. They also said it depends a lot on the amount of traffic it gets. I have only had a doe and two fawns pass through my yard since I moved here so won't have a deer issue. I do have a local Gray fox that shows up once in a while but normally he is just passing through the back yards along the fence row. I think I might have to re aim the photocell on the back lights cause I think I have rabbits or some other small critter sitting them off and turning the lights on. I will probably get one of the driveway alarms next time I get by one of the stores.
  8. I love the car. Would make a real good Hot Rod with the right builder.....JMHO
  9. Well I have kinda ruled out the 4 legged critter cause I don't think one could carry off a full 20lb bottle of propane. I looked at some of the stuff Harbor Freight has to offer and they have a couple things and some cameras also . They have a driveway alert system that is motion operated and it triggers a unit in the house if anything sets the unit off in the carport. It can be set high enough where critters would not trip it. It's only 14 bucks plus the batteries. May pick up one of them next time I get near one of their stores.
  10. I also have tried the rechargeable flashlight and batteries and never found one that was worth salt so I also just keep back up non rechargables for my flashlights so I can change on the fly.
  11. Recently I have been having issues with things being moved around in my carport and at first I thought it might be a critter like a possum or a coon and occassionally my back lights get tripped light up the carport and back yard. Now I am beginning to think it is a two legged critter. Last night I had a 20lb tank of Propane go missing and my 5 gallon gas cans where moved in order for them to get to the propane tank. The gas cans were all empty just moved. I normally have 3 full tanks of Propane for my grill. I was down to 1 full tank and was needing to got get the others swapped out. Glad I didn't now but bothers me knowing I have a thief working the area. So with that said without spending a fortune I am looking to invest in a camera of some type so I can see who it might be. Things have been being moved around for about a month+ now from time to time. This is the first time something has turned up gone so I think who ever it is has gotten braver. If anyone can give me a lead on a camera that won't break the bank it would be appreciated.
  12. I have not lived in a large city such as Nashville in many many years so I can't speak for the police officers in Nashville. I can speak for the officers in about 5 small towns over the last 20+ years and everytime I have been stopped I have been treated with respect regardless of the race of the officer. They have always been traffic stops for some reason or another. Got stopped a month ago for seat belt violation which once the officer saw that I had my lap belt fastened he asked if I had a reason for not having the shoulder harness connected and I presented him with a letter from my doctor explaining why and he said that was a very good reason and handed the letter back to me and told me to have a nice day. I thanked him and we parted ways. I got stopped about 3 times for that over a period of a year here in town and each time the officer was very professional and each time the result was the same. I'm sure each time I got stopped they ran my tags on my Jeep before approaching my Jeep so I'm sure they knew I have an HCP but it was never brought up so I never mentioned it either. When the officer approached my Jeep I had both hands on the top section of the steering wheel in clear sight. I do wish my Jeep didn't have the after market window tinting and I have considered having it removed. That has been my experiences over the past several years. Oh yea, I do have a window sticker on the back window of my Jeep from NRA and another one that reads "Gun Safety means using both hands" I have thought about removing them but I figure, by now all of the officers in this town can recognize my Jeep by them because there is about 4 more Red Jeeps like mine here in town.
  13. It appears he does not care about his race of he would do something to stop the killings. It also appears that President Obama didn't care about his race either because during his 8 years in office he did nothing to try and fix the problem either. It apeared that he even tried to avoid doing anything when the subject was brought to his attention many times...........JMHO
  14. Funny thing happened this morning!!!! Out of the blue my Daughter calls me up and says, " you have a doctors appointment with Dr Myers (Cardologist) for August 31 at 11 AM. Funny how things like that just happen huh?
  15. I agree greg but when you have a mayor telling the police comissioner where the police are allowed to work and what areas to stay away from you have basically tie the hands of the police............JMHO
  16. Probably lived on the street and now has 3 hot's and a cot so if he was on the street I think you could say he's moving up.
  17. Been there and done that with the needle deal when some doctor that was still practicing diagnosised me with type 2 Diabetes and for about 5 years until this last heart attack when I asked the nurse why I was not getting my insulin she said because your not diabetic so for 5 years I stabbed myself and didn't need to just because of a doctors mistake and then people wonder why I don't trust doctors. A doctor in a hospital made that diagnosis without consulting my GP of 18 years and She went ballistic my first visit to her after being released from that hospital. She had just had blood tests run 3 months earlier and I had great sugar and A1C levels. Once they start you on it they say you can't just stop the meds but the last hospital damn sure did. They also took my BP meds away because my blood pressure was reading very good without them. I test it every day here and it is still good and ever so often I do my sugar tests in the morning at my suger is also just fine. And yea Mike, I know what my Daughter would say is why I have decided to wait till I see my Cardologist about it. Would rather not have her on my case........LMAO
  18. Well I am going to keep taking it till I get to speak with the Cardologist face to face but he better be able to convince me that there is a definate reason why I need 2 blood thinners. I get paranoid using a steak knife in the kitchen or a paring knife to peel potatoes. I was not going to do like your dad and quit taking all of them. Just the Plavix but gonna wait.
  19. I have no doubt it will stop the bleeding. A little story about Black Pepper. It will stop radiator leaks in car radiator leaks too. Back when I was racing small outlaw round tracks we had about 10 large cans of it in the tool box and if we got a leak in a radiator we would dump a can in the radiator and it would stop the leak and it was a lot better and cheaper than the stop leak from auto part stores.
  20. Well let me explain a little more about myself and my experience with this stuff. In 2006 I had a heart attack and they put stints in and put me on Plavix. I was on it about 3 months and cut myself and thought I was going to have to call EMT's to come and stop the bleeding. Next trip to my PC doctor I explained what had happened and she told me to quit takin it and begin a low dose aspirin regimen of 1 a day in the morning. I did as she instructed and it was barely 2018 when i had the next heart attack. Now a little bit more information about this med regimen I am on. The Cardologist ahs me taking both Plavix and a Low dose aspirin. Plavix at night and asprin in the morning. I will continue the aspirin but really think he is thinning my blood down to far and to add from 2006 through 2017 and even now I have no ringing in my ears..............JMHO
  21. Since I had my heart attack in January and triple By-pass surgery my doctor has had me on this stuff. I have noticed even the slightest scratch and I bleed like I have cut an atrery and takes a long time to finally get the bleeding to stop. I'm going to begin taking low dose aspirin and quit taking this stuff till I have a long talk with my doctor. https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/10/10/plavix-health-risks.aspx
  22. I have been a benefactor since I joined the site and don't regret 1 second of it. If I was a yonger man I would become a lifetime member but my lifetime is behind me so I just renew when I get the alert that it's time to renew. I live in Middle Tennessee only about 11 miles from the Kentucky state line and I have driven all the way to Springhill almost in Alabama to pick up a gun I really wanted so people driving to get something they want on TGO happens often.............JMHO
  23. That is one thing you will never as far as I know see a racist gang. They will take in all comers as long as you follow the chain on comand your in. Gangs are not all black or all Latino, or Chinese. If your looking for that kind of life they will accept you into their gang. All gangs look at power in numbers.
  24. Back in the early 70's I had a cousin employed by the Illinois department of corrections. At the time it operated with a segregation program until a bunch of the Jailhouse Lawyers filed enough petitions that the Supreme Court made a ruling that segregation was no longer allowed in any penal system in any state. The state of Illinois try to get around that new order from the court by converting one of the facilities into what they called the SPU Facility or proper name was Special Programming Unit. Once they got the construction completed. They hand picked a complete 3 shift crew of correctional officers to operate this unit and my cousin was one of them. They chose the Old Joliet Prison as the SPU and they began moving prisoners from all of the other prisons across the state. They were stocking the SPU with the worst of the worst from every facilty across the state. All of the biggest trouble makers would be housed in 2 special cell blocks. Each cell walk was 40 cells long and each house had 8 walks so once full there was 640 inmates housed is the facility. All of the head gang leaders from all of the gangs in Chicago. Black P Stone Nation, Black Gangsters, Black Disciples, Black Rangers, China Town Dukes, and many other gang leaders all in one facility made for a very interesting population. It was a 4 step program and as long as you didn't cause any trouble or disrespect any guards for 1 month you would move up to level 2 and so on and so on. If you went 6 months without a write up you were transfered back to one of the other facilities in the state and allowed to remain unless you screwed up and then you were brought back to level 1 and started all over again. My Cousin worked there another year and in that year he saw 2 inmates make it out of the facilty to another prison. Goes to show if they cannot maintain themselves in those conditions just imagine what they are like on the streets of Chicago.
  25. The building it might be a lot easier than the keeping it to yourself part! So you don't think if he lives in Mt Juliet that folks in his neighborhood won't notice the two containers being delivered and depending on the concrete quanity your going to need and gravel your going to need will require cement trucks and dump trucks. I'm sure your neighbors are going to wonder what your building. You might try telling them a Fall Out Shelter for a Nuclear attack and they would come more to believing you than to tell them a storm shelter..............JMHO
