Make sure you have the spring on correctly. If you have it reversed it can cause jams. I believe the spring diameter is a little smaller on one end and that is the end that needs to be placed on the barrel first. You may want to google this to be sure.

Can one quallify for a HCP with a 22 revolver?

In a few weeks I will be going to Gettysburg Pennsylvania. I will be leaving Tennessee and traveling thru Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and into Pennsylvania. This will be my first trip to Gettysburg since getting my HCP. I know that all of these states with the exception of Maryland honor my HCP. Am I correct in the fact that before crossing the Maryland state line I will need to pull over, unload my pistol and store it and the ammo separately? I have a gun vault installed in my car. Also, what is the current situation as far as handguns in the Gettyburg National Military Park? Thanks

Would it be considered rude to ask if you may field strip before buying?

+1 My local shop had a P220 I was interested in. I asked to field strip it and they looked at me like I had spit on their floor. They finally agreed and a good thing I asked. The rails were worn out. It looked like it had been fired a LOT dry with no lube. If stores won't let you, or at least break it down for you go somewhere else. -
