He sits on it, with it between his legs. Are you happy to see me or is that a M20 75 mm in your pants.

A Vespa 150 scooter modified with a M20 75 mm light anti-armour cannon. A two man team was air dropped with two scouters, one with the big gun the other carried ammo. The French army ready to go.

I'm on the list for sending my Mk IV back. Only the lower part goes back, the serial number is on the part you keep so it makes it a little easier for shipping. They will send me a prepaid box when they think they can turn it around in about a week. They are sending a magazine for it as a thank you/apology. Mine does not seem to have the problem. I get in that half on mode to often. For me it is because of the placement of the ambidextrous safety. It has never fired when pushing the safety on after not firing. They tell you not to use it till it has been repaired but I will continue using it, following safe shooting rules, not like it is going to explode in my hand.

Great pictures and info. Every wonder how Annie and other trick shooters could get away with shooting in an arena and not take out some of the audience? Not sure if they did it all the time but I heard a story years ago that they found some old ammo from Annie. When they examined it the bullets were wax with fine shot pellets mixed in. The speculation was that the wax would melt and come apart when shot so only the fine pellets would be flying around making them safer and a bit easier to hit targets.

Need advice on steel target shooting
Jeb48 replied to Billrube's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
My private range the closest target is 7-10 yards with down angle mount on chains plus I shoot from my deck that is about 5' up increasing the angle. After thousands of rounds I have only found copper jackets a couple of times more than 10 feet from the target and never back as far as the firing line. I do wear glasses when ever shooting. I have shoot as big as .45 Long Colt at the close target but most of time 9mm is as big as get shot at the close target. I have a variety of mounting techniques and I think I like 2x4 cross pieces to hang the targets from the best, one less thing that might cause a ricochet if it is hit. I know all of you never miss by that much but I do sometimes and when I'm teaching new shooters they do. -

I keep finding neat old photos that have guns in them so thought I would start a thread. Feel free to add info on the type gun or vintage. Even suggested captions but keep them non political and clean so the tread doesn't get shut down. Here is one to start it off.

If you plan to watch the eclipse, be sure you have the proper eye protection to view it. You can buy cheap cardboard frame solar glasses for a few dollars online. I bought a 5 pack for around $12 shipped. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00712I3JA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A friend that is a real eclipse fanatic told me that the important thing was to pick a location that has the greatest odds of clear skies. He rented a whole house in the NW over 2 year ago for his extended family to all meet for the event. His sister travels all over the world taking pictures of eclipses. Not being a fanatic we plan to drive about an hour or 2 from here and find a parking lot.

I have 3 Maglula, 2 Uplula standard and small for my single stack .380 and the flipper Lula for AR magazines. I also have Hilljak for loading SR22 http://www.hilljak.com/ I also try to have enough magazines so I don't have to reload at the range.

I mentioned in a different thread but will jump in with the S&W Governor I bought here. Second picture is with my Ruger LCR 22 for scale. Jim...

Once would be to much if you landed right on the gun and it drove it into your backbone. I have been hearing for years that it isn't safe to carry the middle of the back because of back injuries. It may be all wives tales but scared me away from that location.

No problem here

Mean looking desk those nice guns are leaning against.

I actually like moon clips I have a 9mm LCR also. Makes for fast reloads and more compact than the speed loaders. I already ordered more moon clips so I can load up all I would use for a range day. Did the same thing for the 9mm. Made a de-mooning tool out of a .50 cal casing. For the 9mm it holds all the casings in the shell to be dumped at once, .45 you have to dump an extra time.
