  1. In typical liberal fashion, the left and MSM are now playing the race card. Now its all about the inequality of justice between blacks and whites in this country. They're now saying that Rittenhouse got off because he's white. If he had been black, he would have been convicted. ect and so on. One way or another the liberal left is bound and determined to cause as much trouble and unrest as possible. I think they actually want riots. JMHO: but I believe that if Rittenhouse had been black, he never would have been charged.
  2. So, have the riots started yet?
  3. Any fans of this show that ran 1996-2001? Well Don Johnson has made a reboot movie that will air on the USA Network on Nov. 27. Cheech Marin Is also back as his partner Joe Dominguez. They say if the movie goes well, there might be more in the future. I remember the show and liked it a lot. One thing that always stood out for me was that Nash carried a 1911 in .38 Super. I think this is what first got me interested in the cartridge. I now have 4 of 'em. :D Anyway, it was a good show back then. I hope the movie does it justice. BTW: the Cuda is back too. ;)
  4. I hope he sues the Hell outta MSM. They did everything they could to paint him as evil and get him convicted.
  5. I admit that I'm surprised. The media has been trying to hang the kid from the get go. I really expected a hung jury. Thank God common sense prevailed. Now that kid needs to haul ass outta there as fast as he can. Things are liable to get real interesting around there tonight.
  6. I guess we'll see how the liberals react to this come nightfall.
  7. Sorry to hear that. I wish him a speedy recovery.
  8. I saw on the news yesterday that there have been two previous attempts on his life. The first he was in a bullet proof SUV and escaped unharmed. The second he was wounded but recovered. Kinda makes you wonder don't it?
  9. Might as well face it. The day is coming when gas/diesel vehicles will be a thing of the past. Most likely because of government mandates due to the "greenies". Or maybe the cost of fuel will kill 'em off. But the day is coming. Ford must think so since they're building a $5 Billion dollar plant here in the west end to make electric vehicles.
  10. I used to be one of those who got a bad case of flu if I took the shot. I refused them for many years. But when I got so sick back in 2019 and was then diagnosed with COPD, I took one just as sort of a test due to my Doctors very strong recommendation. No problem at all and I've taken one every year since. Got my latest just last week. All is good.
  11. Well..... It is unique. I'll say that much for it.
  12. For those who think we can just stop using fossil fuels.
  13. here's an idea I can get behind. In Taiwan lots of people drive scooters. They have a set up where you can simply swap out your drained battery for a freshly charged one. Now if this concept could be passed over to cars you might have something workable.
  14. II saw my Pulmonologist. last week. He said YES, absolutely get the booster shot. I took care of that today. As far as news stories go, I've become numb to them. Ever since the beginning its been he said, she said and one conflicting story after another. No matter which side you're on, you can find the definitive proof from various "experts" of your particular beliefs. I just don't care any more. I'm tired of hearing it. I believe my own personal doctors whom I trust. I'll take their advice. Everybody else can go screw themselves.
  15. As I've said, he is only guilty of poor judgement by going there in the first place. OH GEE! A 17 year old made a bad decision? Well DUH!
  16. SURPRISE! SURPRISE! The original order finally showed up today. Just shy of 3 weeks. The lady I spoke to at Springfield on Nov 9 asked me to let them know if it ever came. I sent them an e-mail. No response yet. But if they want me to send them back I will. They were nice enough to resend without question. I guess I can do that much. I've had to deal with Springfield's customer service several times over the years. Only once was it due to a gun needing repair. The other times it was something small like I need a screw or something. Every single time they have bent over backwards to take care of me. And at no charge. Springfield Armory Customer Service is the best in the industry. Probably the best in any industry.
  17. I never heard of the guy. But apparently he was both famous and popular. Seems he was one of those celebrities who remembered his roots and gave back to the community. It seems that we have lost an upstanding citizen. At least 4 local TV stations have interrupted their programming to cover this live. Traffic is snarled in the whole area including the interstate as crowds are pouring in to see what happened. Ok, the guy was famous and well liked, but really all this for a singer?
  18. If this is true, the very fact that jurors may be considering how they will vote based on possible public reaction to the verdict rather than solely on the evidence presented tells you a lot about the current state of our judicial system.
  19. No, it shouldn't. But that's not today's reality. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see video from the jury room. I wonder how many of those jurors are all ready lining up talk show gigs? Movie rights? Book deals? Every circus needs its clowns.
  20. I'm thinking a hung jury. No way this kid could ever get a fair trial because MSM and the liberal internet already convicted him within hours of the shooting. But hopefully there are at least a couple of unbiased, honest people on that jury.
  21. When they make one that can go 600 miles on a charge, run 80 MPH and recharges in an hour, maybe I'll consider it. Nah, not really.
  22. I wish I could say I'm surprised. But I'm not in the least. Seems like everyday the news starts with how many were shot today.
  23. A good point. The Models 19 & 66 are outstanding guns. But bear in mind that they were intended to be carried a lot and shot a little. The whole concept was to give LEOs a lighter, harder hitting sidearm. It was supposed to be shot with .38 Specials for practice and training and only use .357s for duty carry. As i said, they are wonderful guns. I have two myself. But use of full house magnum loads should be limited. Also do not use ammo of 125 grs or lighter as these have proven to be very hard on the forcing cone and even caused some to crack. With the K-frame magnums its best to stick to 158 gr magnum loads. The whole reason S&W developed the L-frame was to correct the shortcomings with the K-frame magnums. And they did an absolutely wonderful job. As I said before, I consider the S&W 586/686 to be the ideal .357 revolver.
  24. I would recommend a S&W L-frame either a 586 (blue) or 686 (stainless). I think its the perfect .357. Heavy enough to handle full power .357s and shoot very well, but a bit smaller than the big N-frames for easier carry. For the larger N-frames, I'll second the Model 28. Ain't nuthin' fancy, just an excellent revolver. I also go along with Greg. Find an older used gun made before 1998. No lock or MIM parts. Made the way that made S&W famous. No One had a great suggestion. If you can find one the old Ruger Security Six is an outstanding revolver. But those are getting harder to find because Ruger discontinued them in the late 1980s. Ruger's current GP-100 is a fine gun as well. Lots of folks absolutely love 'em. And if you have the money, there's always the Colts. For your needs a Trooper MK III or MK V would fill the bill without breaking the bank. Anyway, there are lots of good choices out there. Take your pick.
