That's rough, Strelok on mine is backed up to an online service, Google Drive, but you have to back it up every now and then to keep the data fresh. Is your phone wiped out or can you access the files or sd chip?
-
Yea, you get used to having soldiers among the populace fully armed. The only place that made me nervous was in Honduras, where they always pointed their rifles in any direction they were looking at the time(me).

The problem with these situations is no matter what the facts are, there will be those who've already made up their mind. Heck, they are still protesting in Ferguson for Brown even though the facts don't support a protest in that situation. What they don't consider is that there are a few Dems breaking the law and not being charged. And the biased liberal media just throws gas on the fire: Do a search on this arrest, any mainsteam hits? http://endingthefed.com/anti-gun-senator-jamilah-nasheed-arrested-in-ferguson-carrying-a-9mm.html And not to mention this: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2016/02/25/antigun-california-state-senator-sentenced-to-five-years-in-prison-on-gun-trafficking-charges-n2124467 But let a gun be used for anything and its all over media.

I have a Sig brace on mine, I started with just putting it on a PSA pistol tube, it was tight but it could be used, just not sure about long term or if other pistol tubes are the same diameter. Since then I got the Sig tube and like it much better, specially with the spacers which allow you to adjust LOP. I got another brace for an upcoming build but got a different Sig compatible tube by Exos Defense, haven't assembled it yet but it looks like it will work just fine.

A few from my unit prior to retirement.

Hmmm, I never had a bad pistol except a .22 Jennings which only likes CCI or the like "hot" rounds, but I would never carry it. All my others, while they may not be suited to my carry style, work as intended.

I planted black berries and some raspberries, only one didn't make it. But they don't produce a bunch, just a few here and there. Of course the critters may be getting these before I do.

Ok, a follow up to this. It is still doing it, I was typing a post on this forum and after two previews, first no problem, second preview showed no text; when I closed the preview window the text was still there in the typing box but no matter what edits I did to the text or title, it would not post, just went to a blank post screen (as if I didn't type anything). So I just copied the post and started a new one; I was still logged in so it was not that it logged me out or anything.

Ok, KKing and I discovered an glitch which may be an issue to some. If you are in a conversation via PM and you leave the conversation, the "Invite" button will not add you back in, and replies will also not go to you. So if anyone is in a multi person conversation working a project, issue etc., then be aware of this so you don't leave a conversation you really want to be in. New person invites are allowed though, so there is that. TGO David, I added you into the PM conversation as a test, you can disregard and answer here if you like.

I think there is a pay-it-forward area for benefactors.

Just be sure the string isn't 14" long! http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/2010/01/25/shoestring-machine-gun/

A couple of questions; When you pull the trigger does it go bang 99% of the time? Yes: Keep it No: Fix it Does it hit where you aim? Yes: Good, keep it No: Is it you? Yes: Practice No: Fix it Bottom line, are you happy with it? If the answer is yes, then don't worry with what others say. You won't get your return on investment, ARs have become much cheaper since you bought yours. While I don't like the ARs with handles, I like flat tops, there is nothing wrong with them, I used that version for over 15 years. And if you absolutely must, then you can just do some upgrades to it, new upper, PSA has some cheap ones this weekend, new barrel/caliber etc.

My ideas on protecting the 2nd Amendment
Omega replied to Pete123's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The problem is, as soon as you redirect counter to their beliefs they shut you out. I don't know how they come to some of the conclusions they do but somehow it makes sense to them. Reality just needs to happen to them, personally, because as long as someone else is the victim then it's the gun's fault. Watch how quickly they want to learn to protect themselves when they become victims! -
Military & Veteran Training Requirement Change?
Omega replied to Tri-Cities Bob's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'm fairly sure they covered it since it was a sanctioned class, along with the required video. Jut not as much emphasis on it as it should have, such as breakdown and assembly etc, safety, yea again they covered it but not as in-depth as it could of been. I am all for constitutional carry, classes are fine and all but as you said, not many keep up with changes or refreshers. Much like driving, which kill more people, many do not seek out new laws or training unless they are some kind of enthusiast, and that (driving) is a privilege not a right. So why does a right have any mandatory anything attached to it? -
Military & Veteran Training Requirement Change?
Omega replied to Tri-Cities Bob's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I don't see this as either really, its just that SOME military do get to train with their pistols and it makes no sense making them take the course. Like I said above, the course is not all that, I get more info from looking it up online, specially since the class is static, meaning once you take it, it is not updated unless you keep up with changes in the law. I do feel that anyone that can prove they have met the criteria should be allowed to skip the course if one is to be forced upon us, such as some of the civilian or NRA pistol courses that some attend. -
That is what the machete is for! I can't even see using a bayonet off of any weapons platform, too easy to get it stuck and no matter how hardened a butstock is, eventually you will damage it. Ok, talking zombies again brings up more questions, are we talking Walking Dead zombies or World War Z zombies, WD zombies I'll stick with my original 300Blk with a can, WWZ zombies I may have to upgrade to at least an M134 minigun.

Military & Veteran Training Requirement Change?
Omega replied to Tri-Cities Bob's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Before all you needed was a memo from the Commander stating that you met the requirements. The DD214 would only list official courses and maybe the marksmanship medal if you bothered to get it. I took the course anyway just to brush up on, at the time, current laws, but there wasn't much in the class that I could not of read up on. Besides the actual shooting part, most of that could of been done via a web based or video based class. And the shooting portion was just a waste of bullets for the most part. At least they could of covered care and maintenance, and more range safety type of information during the class because there were many there that were very unfamiliar with their weapons. Even so, I too feel that training is good, but it should be voluntary not mandated. -
Ah, yea that would suck. If you are tempted again, take a look at the site I linked to, bunch of good guys doing some good work and no issues like you posted. There is a gamut of calibers being tried, but yea it can get pricey since most everything needs to be custom. On my .277 WLV it's not too bad, just the barrel, reloading dies and case gauge since I went the AR route.
-
That would be a 300Blk, albeit a bit shorter range. How so? Did you try to develop a Wildcat yourself or did you just try one that was in early development?

Here is one with my android tablet with chrome, and it allows me to pick a star:
-
Are you using the "Dark" theme? When I switch to it I get close to what you see though no stars. I clicked on where the 5th star should be and highlighted after: Add: I am on a Win7 box (firewalled) with IE 11.
-
It does not seem to show up on my android phone using chrome so it may be a browser issue of not seeing it. Ahh, I think on your snippet all you have to do is click a star to rate, since mine don't show the icon, it defaults to the text???
-
Here is a snippet, IE removes some icons so I am sure there are stars or something next or below the text:
-
That is the "Rating" as measured by the "Rate this topic" on the top left underneath the title of the post. But it seems only a few of the forums have it enabled. So its not automatic like some other sites that rate by how often the post is read or replied to, it's a user voted rating.

Yes, and a guy at the wildcat site is working on standardizing it along with getting some steel mags as well. Added a link to the post for those interested: http://mdws.forumchitchat.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1292513541&postcount=1&forum=530730 ATM I am only interested in ones that are based off the 5.56 case and barrel only swap needed. Maybe later I may dip my toe into a .308 or 6.8 AR build, but not now.
