So we should all be armed with pepper spray for SD? -
Fed Appeals Court Says Illegal Aliens Have 2A Rights
Omega replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Either you support the 2nd Amendment for all or you don't support the 2nd Amendment. We yell and scream that they are taking our God Given Rights away when they pass gun laws yet now we want to put qualifiers on them? If your position is that these are rights we are born with, then why does it not apply to other human beings? -
It's amazing what we don't see: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI_17jgEdAI Watch how much the arrow flexed on release.

Hey it could happen:

It's hard to know what he was up to before he actually acted. Ever seen someone and just "knew" they were not acting right? There are incidents that are either stopped due to someone calling attention to people not acting right or acting on their instincts just prior to them committing their acts.

He had his own camera.

Current LEO's: When did police procedures change for suicides?
Omega replied to E4 No More's topic in General Chat
To be honest, there is no mention either way; it just says he pulled out the gun. Difficult to speculate if the officer felt he, or anyone, was in danger or not. I guess its best to let the TBI sort it out a bit first. -

According to the hunting regs it appears that you can have a rifle in a boat: Hunting From Motorized Vehicle or Vessel Where hunting is allowed from vessels, it is legal to hunt from any vessel, so long as the vessel is not under forward motion from any influence of mechanical means or sail. On private property, it is legal to hunt from any motorized vehicle (to include ATVs, golf carts, etc.), provided the vehicle is stationary. Nothing in the subsection shall be construed as authorizing hunting from a vessel, automobile, or other motor vehicle while under power. Nothing in this subsection permits hunting from or across a public road or right-of-way. So as far as having ammo, I would guess it could be on the boat as well but the rifle probably has to be unloaded while underway. Of course then you would have to be decked out in blaze orange, in season, and licensed, and it does not address SD issues.

From the 15'-16' hunting guide: "Hunting near private dwellings: It is unlawful to hunt, shoot at, chase or kill with or without dogs any wild animal, wild birds or waterfowl on public lands and waters within 100 yards of a visible dwelling house, without the owner’s permission, whether or not such a dwelling is on public or private lands. " Edit: TNShooter posted as I was editing; Yes, according to TWRA, the distance in the regs is for dwellings while on public land. I have a house that may or may not be within 100 yards depending on where I hunt and have asked. Of course I do not shoot in that direction, but if on my far corner I am within 50 yards of the house. I do have communication with the land owner and have permission to retrieve any deer that may cross over after the shot and they know where I setup my stands.

300 Blk - rounds getting a little scarred during feeding
Omega replied to Mark A's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Shoot it first, see if it effects POI, if it does, then look to polish the feed ramps a bit. -
I thought they did consider it a motor vehicle since you can get a DUI while boating? Maybe not for carrying though.
-
Not sure which pill you were using but for one like it I have: Hornady 150 FMJ-BT 3037, OAL: 2.065 PM me your email, I can send you some 300Blk info.

Not sure about shooting at night in your area but of the gun choices I would use the 223 due to possible distance and shot placement.

They made enough of the character Tobias, that there is little doubt he will play a part in the following episodes. I haven't done the sync since most times I catch it on dvr, what does it do?

I think you can learn to work the trigger just fine as is. It will take time, but once you work it enough, you will develop muscle memory. Get some snap caps and practice dry firing until it becomes second nature.

In my experience I will have to agree with bersaguy, been there and while in uniform I was pretty much looked down upon. Once we switched to civies it was like night and day. Same experience in Italy, 180 once in civies, in Germany and Japan not so much treated the same, decent, in both while in uniform and civies. One thing I did notice is that much of the attitude came from the younger generations, older folks were much nicer. I don't know what it is, maybe they have had bad experiences with Americans in the past but I definitely noticed a difference.

Welcome to the site. And as others have said, learn to like cats. I suggest with BBQ sauce, but catsup will do in a pinch.

My bad, no did not know. Wonder if a good sling would help those with that issue; an outward pressure can steady the rifle as well.

I don't hunt duck, but by the sounds of the gunshots while I'm deer hunting the area by the steam plant in Cumberland City I would say its rather full of ducks. I am not sure if they are hunting at Guices creek rec area or maybe at yellow creek but I hear shots quite a bit. Maybe someone who duck hunts in this area can chime in.

Not bad, I didn't notice you supporting the rifle with your right hand, though it may of been off screen. Also, Your cheek weld seemed loose; I didn't see your targets so hard to tell if any of that effected your shot placement. Maybe a split screen showing trigger pull and shot placement to see what each trigger pull does. I find that if someone counters incorrect trigger pull with a good rearward pull into the shoulder pocket and a good cheek weld it does not effect shot placement as much. For those just learning shooting techniques however, trigger pull is definitely a good starting point.

They were right, you get sent when there is a slot available for you. Some get assigned when they are already an E-5 or E-6 so they get prioritized for slots. But if you are there for awhile and have not gone then you will probably find yourself on orders. We were allowed RIP since we were in a support unit not actually part of the Bn but actual school slots were difficult to get. As a parachute rigger I had to be with them during jumps and deployed with them in support of that roll, on occasion I would get to do some training with them as well. Depending on your MOS, why not put in a packet with us out here in the 160th? You will only have to go through Green Platoon, its a lot of fun...afterward.
