  1. If the timing belt was never replaced then 180,000 miles on a rubber belt is pushing it. Depending on the type of the motor a broken timing belt can destroy an engine. So in terms of reliability then that would be a good idea if it was not done yet. As far as them changing out the water pump and other items than that is also a good idea since it is buried in behind all of those other items. Now to determine if you are having a blown head gasket issue then you could have someone perform a leak down test. This would be the best way to see if you are having a bad head gasket. Other then that the coolant leak could be coming from anywhere. Just start there and go from there.
  2. I don't know about the shootings at the Dickerson Rd. Ghettomart but I do see every time I pull into the parking lot (undercover police operation in progress) signs all over the place. I do normally check the ammo case but unless the price is right I still prefer to get my ammo online.
  3. Just seen this and I thought wow a S&W 500 will do that.  LOL   http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/outposts/post/man-panics-shooting-gun/
  4. Thanks for that. Now I have another channel that I subscribed too. If Piers would of kept his mouth shut long enough this guy would of made a great person to debate him.
  5. Here you go :   http://www.tbi.tn.gov/firearm_check/firearm_docs/FFL_20Guidelines_pdf.pdf   It states that all firearms need to go thru a FFL so that means rimfire included.

    Handgun purchase

Handsup,   I am also a transplant but I have been here since I was 13. This is a great state to live in as far as your rights are concerned. Nothing out of the ordinary here. My family members that still live in Illinois are still in disbelief on how easy we have it here.
  7. I agree with you and Nicky. Being here in Nashville there are plenty of shops around for selection but there are two in Hendersonville that I go to quite frequently. One of them is a vendor on here and the other is one that I go to for hard to find items but both knew you when you walked in and one of them I got to know the owner and he is a real great guy. As far as big box stores I only go in there to browse around and maybe some ammo but that is about it. When it comes to getting a gun it would be one of the two local gun stores.
  8. If it is bad enough to change the DNS then it could be monitoring your keystrokes or doing anything else malicious. I would recommend at this point with you not knowing of how the DNS settings got changed to not trust just a cleaner or anti virus. They design viruses to be resistant to that. I would not recommend anything other than a operating system reinstall. This is from experience. It took me over 2 months and multiple cleaners, anti viruses and other things to finally get fed up and just reinstall my wife's computer. That did the trick. Just my opinion from being in the field for over 13 years.
  9. I agree as well before you use that computer for anything financially related or personal I would recommend backing up your data and doing a deep clean of the hard drive and a system re-install because if nothing else found it then it is truly a nasty bug.
  10. Try going to windows 7 in safe mode. F8 when it is booting up and select with networking. If that does it then it is either a malicious bug or something in your antivirus. If you suspect a bug use something like malware bytes or spybot search and destroy. Try those options if you think that it is your antivirus make sure that Walmart.com is not blocked in there. I had that happen to me and took some time to figure it out.
  11.   Same here had the G19 and it was just to big for me during the summer and since I want only one gun for all the time to carry it will be between these three.
  12. Me too I can at night as well but headlights are a sure in. I have been into cars since I was old enough to drive. It drives my wife crazy that i can pick a car out in our rear view mirror before it comes beside us.
  13. I used to work at a grocery store for a while and I hated working on the first week of the month because everyone would come in with their "Stamps". They had no qualms filling two or three buggies with groceries and then having them make me take them out to their BMW or Cadillac with fancy wheels and tires. This was at the time that me making 200 a week was not enough for me to qualify for food stamps.  I then got a better job and did not have to deal with it anymore and I was happy. Then a few months ago I was laid off at my job and without an income for a month. Did I qualify for Food stamps or any help. HELL NO. I was denied because I had a beat up car in my driveway. At that point in time I said screw the government and I will never ask for assistance again from them. I will rely on my family, friends and my self and if not then so be it.  <End of Rant>
  14. Ok, On some TV's when you change inputs you turn off the other port it does not suspend it. This might cause issues because the video card would then think that it was disconnected and do all kinds of crazy things. I have a receiver with HDMI switching and I have a computer, xbox, and cable box all connected. Until I reloaded the drivers and reseated the cables a couple of times I had the same issues. It can also be a cheap cable. For the HDMI handshake to work properly all little wires have to work and be in good shape if not then it would cause a black screen or a no video message to be displayed. Any of these are suggestions just try easiest first and work from there.
  15. I am a computer guy and have been in the business for 13+ years. I would first try a different HDMI cable and if that does not work then make sure that your driver is the latest one. Try that out and see if those ideas work.
  16. Just so I can look around at some of my people here is it a short or long block the replacement engine and what year is the truck?
  17. That is true but other than the left leaning gun hating others that are out there I start out with Foxnews and then just go from there. At least with them they are not anti gun and always trying to push people to their side.
  18. I usually use google as my main page cause i just use it that much doing my job. But I still keep a tab open on fox news just to keep up on the news and get a straight story.
  19. For me I got my permit when I moved to East Nashville and had my 2 girls. I really don't care about what happens to me but I will not let anyone hurt my wife or girls. Plus there has been numerous shootings and home invasions around here.
  20. I took my HCP class only about a year ago and I remember taking my target home with me. My wife did too. I was amazed at how much better she got in only a few times at the range. When I was qualifying the first two distances the instructor told me that I had already passed but he said that I had to shoot the last ten rounds on the farthest distance. I then put one on the paper and the other 9 were shot off hand just to see what that felt like.
  21. I feel for everyone that has family that lives in a non-gun state. The majority of my family lives in Illinois and Indiana. I told my family in Illinois that they had to see me in Indiana because there was no way that I was stepping foot in Illinois. My wife and I carry for the protection of my family and the neighborhood that some of my family lives is infamous for car jackings, and other issues. They asked me why I was not going to come see them and I told them if my gun can't go neither will I.
  22. I just discovered his YouTube videos by accident and now I have over 1000 videos to watch. He does make me jealous because he lives not even 45 minutes away and he has the best range I have ever seen but I have to shoot paper. But oh well training is training to me.
