Comcast pulls gun related advertising
frankmako replied to klamb5's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
epb is a chattanooga thing. you can get your power, internet, tv, and phone with them. their tv and internet is 100 times better and faster than all others in the area. cheaper too. true fiber optic cable all the way to your house. internet is a t3 type line and is not run with/through the tv line. talking about fast and no drops. -

Comcast pulls gun related advertising

i have dropped comcast years ago. their service was crap, never worked. their standard answer was to send someone to my house to look for the problem. no problem found, problem somewhere else. repeat 10 to 15 times over 8 years. time to drop them like the way their service dropped everyday. went with epb, for two years it has never dropped. -
do gooders and a busy body. some people need to stay out of others business.

in 1973 i started reading a paper daily no matter where i was at. even overseas i got the atlanta paper mailed to me. back then the paper was the only way to get any news, not like it is now. about one year ago i stopped. got fed up with the crap. no news, just one sided left wing crap. nothing for me. they don't care about anything but their left wing crap. when they run out of money the government will step in and give them some just a long as they print this left wing crap.

place to sit, eat, music on a friday night. suggestions please.
frankmako replied to vujade's topic in General Chat
tootsies downtown is where i go for cold beer and music. i don't go for the food. there are better places for food downtown. eat somewhere else then go for cold beer and music. it can get standing room only on the first floor. upstairs there is all way room. but the best band is down stairs. there is a bbq place next to opryland mall that has food/beer/live music. i don't remember the name, but the bbq was ok, the music was better. -
plus one. it will not change anything. the only time they change their mind is when something bad happens to them. then they whish they had a gun.

vow has some of the highest prices around, even before the mess. they do not to like leo's and military. fugates is the best place to go. they like leo's/miltary. best prices around. or you can go to chattanooga, several local shops and big box stores. no ammo and not many guns and prices are so, so.

Using Magnum Primers in a Non-Magnum Round
frankmako replied to MarkInNashville's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
yes you can use mag primers in 9mm and 40 s&w. i have and will again when i can not find any standard primers. at first i did the 10% lower charge with the mag primers. then i ran some loads with my normal charge weight. ran the mag primers with my normal charge weight across my chronograph and the mag primers gave me about 60 pfs more. i don't run any of my reload hot. i load them in the mid range so the family can have more fun at the range. what i have found using mag primers in non mag load is that i don't get much unburned powder now. so mag primers in place of standard primers will give you a small bump in fps and a better powder burn. -
Co-worker got her first handgun this week, a S&W J-frame. Co-worker is a big time duck hunter so guns are not new to her, just pistols. Now the problem is that she can not find any range ammo. She is looking for some 148gr wad cutter and/or something close to it so she can fire her new gun. We got carry ammo for her, just need to find a box of lite loads so she can get some range time. Has anybody seen any 38 special wad cutter ammo in the Chattanooga area?

Federal Government Urged To Patrol City’s Streets
frankmako replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
the only way marshal law will work is that all guns will have to be taken away from the people. these is not enough federal bodies to control anything when the population has guns. they know this and it is the driving force behind gun control. -
here we go again. that old oil thing, gun oil vs motor oil. what is best??? but when it comes down to it,,,, they both work. as that goes for grease too.

when your people don't have food to eat you give them a video to watch.

I will be in Memphis next week and should have some down time to run around. Can someone recommend a good gun store in the Memphis area? I might luck out and find me a 44 mag lever action rifle.

back in the early 70's when i was overseas we got a large load of fully loaded m16 twenty round mags that were sealed in ammo cans. we tracked the rail road seals numbers that were on the can with s4 and found the cans were sealed in the early 60's. every mag fired without any problems, semi or full auto. so load them up, it will not hurt anything. mags have come a long way and are better made today.

you got off real cheap. two batteries for my ford f250 diesel i dropped about $350.00 for them. wal mart does not have my size. last week i dropped 150 plus for one tractor battery.

the best deals are the ammo can. that is if you want to drive to pick them up. but you still could make some money even with the drive time.

you can find some good rebuild cars at a very good price. at one time you had to take pictures of all sides of the vehicle before you started work. after all work is done you had to take pictures of all sides again. these pictures were looked at by the inspector before you got a rebuild title. i know a guy in poke county that buys these car at a local auction and then rebuilds them. most of the car don't have much wrong with them. i would make sure the air bags are in. he does not buy cars that the air bag is out. this type of vehicle is one that you would drive untill the wheels fall off. resale will be hard because most people do not understand the system. but you can get a high end vehicle for a cheap price, just drive the wheel off of it.

for about 25 years i ankle carry a model 36 as my bug on the job. then something happen to me and the last 10 plus years i have not been able to wear a ankle holster for not more than 30 minutes before it drives me nuts. i have and used only high dollar named brand ankle holsters. ankle carry is not a bad way to carry. if you work at it you can get your gun easy with ankle carry. just have to have the right pants and holster to make it work.

i bet the prices were high. they got to be if they got that many for sale. i don't have any guns anymore. the federal government says i don't need them anymore. i got me some scissors from work today. i need a holster for them. think i will check over at the crossbreed site for a new carry holster. i hope the government will let me keep them, because the grip is black, so i just don't know. but i also had a blue pair, should have took them to be on the safe side.

guns use to be a hobby. now they are not with the gun control problems, high prices, etc.... once you would buy a gun and when it did not fit you, you sold it off/trade it off, and then went to the next gun of your liking. not now with all problems. now is the time to find a weapon that will fit your needs the best it can and stick with it.
