  1. 550 artic cat that is used on the farm.   i use it for work, the wife for fun.  should get another one for her.  but all the used ones i look at this winter are high priced crap.    the ones for sale i have looked at have been rode hard and put up wet.
  2.   plus one.  the low information voter does not get it.  we are in a mess and it is not going to get any better anytime soon.
  3. low number is min.  high number is max.  when i load something new i start at max less 10%.  this get me in the ball park.  i load ten rounds and run them across my chronograph to see what the are runing.  then i work from this point up or down to come as close to the factory round.  i shoot several factory rounds to get a base line for the gun first.  for cast lead bullets i reduce the loads to stop leading and to have more fun at the range.
  4. first thing i would get is a reloading book.  new or used.  old or new.  a book first is a must.  then i would look for used equipment.  a single stage press, scales, dies, lube w/pad, and a sold work bench.  then primers, powderr, bullets, and brass.  small things like loading blocks can be home made with wood and a drill.  i started in 73 with a lyman sparten single stage press, lyman scales, lyman book, lee delux dies.  still use them today.
  5. i check on ebay last night and all the dies are going higher than what you can get them at midway.  it looks like everything is getting out of control.
  6. got to love old "pill billy".  they are looking at new ways to get money to buy more pills.   they spend more time trying to steal something instead of getting a job.   had one beak into one of my tool sheds at the farm.  took the window out.  did not break any of the glass.  took care in breaking in. did not make a mess, inside or out.   he took two 20 year old chain saws. they did not run, i used them for parts.  left lots of good tools and small equipment.  i have all ways kept the tractors, trailers, hay equipment, etc.. chained inside a pole barn.  they will have to work to get them.
  7. ruger 10 22 mags at midway $12.99 black/$15.99 clear. all sold out.   wish i got a truck load of them before this crap started.  ebay the prices are out of control.
  8. man i got a gold in my reloading room.
  9. three wal mart's in chattanooga had 40 and 45 ammo and some 308 rifle ammo.  i been on the hunt for 35 remington ammo.  i am down to 10 rounds.  been in three states looking.  no luck.
  10. 30-30 or 35 remington.
  11. both rivers in the area are fun.  you will have a blast.
  12.   plus one.  when it hits the fan you want to go for the big area of the body.
  13. david i will call you later to set a order.  lunch is on me on top of the mountain this time.
  14. i played around with one many mango season ago.  fun to shoot.  eats up lots of ammo fast.
  15. i got an old base ball bat.  base ball bats have been used as assault weapons.  looks like i got me a tax break coming.
  16.   At this time we don't know if they will get any time.  The sentencing hearing will be later, sometime in March and  April.  Some federal charges do not score high on the sentencing levels guide lines.  In federal court lots of people will pled guilty to a lower charge to get less time or no time in jail.  Sometime these lower charges don't carry much time in jail or any time in jail.  It is all up to the judge in what they get per the sentencing guide lines.  The guide lines will have a high to low range.   The judge will look at the facts for each person and sentence them somewhere in the federal guide lines range for the count(s) found guility and/or count(s) pled to.   A good case is one that the jury comes back with guilty on all counts.
  17.   shows you what type of case the government had.
  18. with all the gun control crap going on i would stay with a 30-30 lever action gun.  so far they are not looking to ban the old style guns.
  19. i just don't see what the loop hole is.  if you buy a gun at a gun show from a dealer that is showing his goods at the gun show he run the checks and you fill out the paperwork.  if you buy a gun from someone in the parking lot/across the street/etc,, it is a private sale,,, just like any other private sale of anything made.  they are trying to stop private sales.  it is all about control, control of you.
  20. been reloading since 1973.  got just about everything there is for reloading and casting bullets.  i would get some of the older reloading books and read them.  lots of good info in the older books.  then i would first look for bullets, brass, primers and powder.  you can have all the equipment to reload, but without bullets, brass, primers, and powder the equipment is just a dust collector.
  21. for the past several mango seasons it has been buy low and keep.  now it is hard to find any buy low deals.  if you are flat broke and have no other way to get any money then i guest you could sale.  but with all the crap going on and our so call leaders i would not sale anything.
  22. finding any gun now is going to be hard.  i been to several guns stores and pawn shops and it has gotten to be slim picking.
  23. most federal leo have to shoot four times a years with every gun they carry on and off duty.   that can run into a bunch of ammo.
  24. looks like you have a problem on your side of the state.
