  1. LMAO @ "tailed too closely".
  2. One thing I just don’t get...why do people think it couldn’t happen here?  While I try my best to leave my tin foil hat  on the top shelf in the back of my closet, sometimes I want to get it out and make sure it still fits! I’ve always thought this was the best country in the world, bar none! Lately, though, while I still feel that way, I find that the differences between us and other countries are eroding at an alarming pace.  A few hundred years ago, we fought a long hard war to, in part, not be like our European cousins.  Now, many of our people on the left are drinking that Kool-Aid.  Trying to be MORE Europeanish...I've lived in Europe, and I’m here to tell you that it is NOT better than here.  Even the so called free countries of Western Europe and Great Britain are overly restrictive and lack the basic freedoms that we’ve almost always enjoyed. I’m not talking about JUST the 2nd Amendment type freedoms either, but even the 1st Amendment type rights we have.  Hell, open your eyes, already the left, here, are trying to inhibit free speech when it is opposed to or critical of their policies. It IS happening here!  No they are not rounding people up...yet, but it has started. Perhaps we can slow it or stop it in time, I don’t know.  But if we don’t wake the hell up soon, then when we do wake up, it will be too late..
  3. I sa wthat on TV last night.  Wow, he was certainly raised right.
  4. First time I went to Europe, I saw MANY unisex toilets.  In Paris, I remember they had those, and inside there was a row of urinals on one wall, and a row of stalls on the other.  I thought I was in the wrong bathroom at first when a group of hot chicks came in while I was standing at the urinal.  I froze, then realized that I wasnt in the wrong one cuz I was at a urinal.  Then I looked down to make sure it was a urinal, lol.  yes it was.
  5. I started with a nook and now have an ipad 2.  I read books on the ipad using either the nook or Kindle apps.  using Overdrive (free) with the Public library here in Davidson County gives you much to access and read.  Not as rich a selection as hardboubnd books, but good for free anyway.  There are other sopurces thouggh for free books.  One Ive discovered lately is:  http://home.bookbub.com/home/ I thought that once I started e-reading, I would give up on bound books, but alas, such is not the case.  I don't like buying books, so the library is still my biggest sourse for reading, and  they just dont have a slection of ebooks to rival bound books. I probably have 35 free ebooks on my ipad right now and am reading one of them now.
  6. In the last couple of years Ive gone through several different bags, trying to find the right one...Ive used Maxpedition, 511,  Fox and a few others.  Right now Ive got a 5.11 Tactical MOAB10 on order from  LA Police Gear.  I tried it out at a retail store, but got a better deal online so Im waiting for it...hopefully it will satisfy me.  My plkan is to use ot for EDC and then keep another in my car with other stuff in it.
  7. Wonder if that gentleman was charged with anything?
  8.   I agree with you, but I wouldn't have charged the homeowner with anything, nor taken his gun.
  9. It's happening here too, maybe not actual arrests yet, but the Feds have started:    http://dailyrollcall.com/2013/05/25/u-s-attorney-to-supress-1st-amend-in-tennessee/comment-page-1/
  10. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day...
  11. One of many things I dont understand about Muslims is hiow they immigrate to all these countries because apparently they dont like it at home, and then right away they wanna start changing the new country to make it like home?? WTF?  I have watched CAIR for years use our own laws against us.
  12. Thanks, TDR! I had ordered a set, and was able to successfully cancel.
  13. Probably safer than getting in a car on the highway, but I would get on it, lol.
  14. WHat will you do with your mac on the Apple TV?
  15. I like SOE Gear!  I have a Cobra Riggers Belt a Universal Pistol Holster. Both very well made.
  16. It's Bush's fault...or global warming...lol
  17. I dont know how many times I've heard something like, "Well If I'm going to a bad area, I'll carry..."    Personally, EVERY area I go to, even my home, I consider a "bad" area, LOL.
  18. I agree.  One of the best ever.
  19. I was a cop (armed) there, and I remember my first interaction with an Armored car money escort in the 70's.  The dudes were wearing  security uniforms, and crash helmets!  I asked the dude why the helmets, and he told me that at that time, most of their robberies of the trucks were done  by whacking the escorts with cricket bats, lol.
  20. I have Apple TV2 on one tv and A Sony Smart Blueray on another, both used in conjunction with Cable, at present.  My research shows that the Roku 3 may be the best though.  I really wanted the ability to stream to my Ipad2, but after the fun wore off, i found I rarely do that, and I dont even use itunes on the AppleTV2., just netflix.  On the Sony, I use netflix and a few others, like Crackle, on occasion.  I rarely have any problems out of either rdevice, though the Sony seems to be slower than the AppleTV2.  The Sony does offer a whole more "channels" than the AppleTV2. I should add that on both these devices, Im only using free stuff, except for the netflix.
  21. When I lived in England (75-82) firearms were strictly controlled but not outright banned.  One could "own" a firearm, but the rules for secure storage were very stringent.  For the most part, rifles and  pistols were only kept at Shooting clubs and had to be used there.  Even then though, one had to have a license to even own it.  Shotguns were also licenced, but at that time, one could keep it at home.  I understand that now they cant even do that.  This is what some would like to bring here.  It starts with small steps and before you even know it, they are talking about banning knives...
  22. I am not inherently racist, but I do get tired of the double standards we allow. Being black so often gets one a "pass"  and Im sick of that.  And like Garufa said, its at least as many whites that perpetuate this as blacks...maybe out of some misplaced sense of guilt or something.    Blacks are still a minority in this country, It took a whole lotta whites to get him elected.  I am convinced that the true racism in this country nowadays, the systemic racism, is something that is alive and well.  It's evident in the way we encourage welfare moms to birth more babies, and not make fathers be responsible for their offspring.  I think this all started with Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, and the social welfare government we have that rewards a lack of personal and family responsibility.  We actually encourage bad behavior!  And under Obama, things have gotten way worse...we actually encourage people, even non citizen immigrants to get on food stamps!  Black liberation theology, my A&^%^   There's a book by Ken Hamblen, a former radio talk show host in Denver, called "Pick A Better Country".  Excellent read.  Oh and by the way, Ken in black...he called himself the Black Avenger!  Also, I encourage you to listen to Carl Boyd on 99.7 on Sunday afternoons.
