  1. Point taken...and I concur. You will never find me in spandex. I like for people to keep their lunch down.
  2. I bet that rear seam would end up chaffing if he did that.
  3. Everyone I know that gave up on a car like this hates it later. Hang in there. You are not going to get anything new that is better.
  4. I second that perversion sentiment.
  5. Can I buy these and donate them to deserving ladies? Purely to help promote female concealed carry.
  6. Yep that is why I am insane when I pack stuff to ship. I think I keep the packing tape and bubblewrap companies in business....
  7. Yoga pants are a gift from God. lol You know the guy with the camera kept saying, just one more pic...almost got it right. I had reason to be on a college campus for several hours on a Saturday a while back. Sigh...to be young again. If I started wearing yoga pants, you guys can shoot me...
  8. May be policy and I can see why a little bit, but still not the best way to handle it. It keeps things moving, but not always in the recipients' best interest.
  9. Just scanning through a gun classifieds site and this ad was on the side. Does anyone even see the gun? I just think the words are in the way. lol No doubt this is aimed at us guys.
  10. Yeah, I did not even have a truck or trailer at that point. Sad, growing up we only heated with wood. We would hire out clearing fence rows and trimming trees. We got paid and used the wood to burn. Any good hard wood got sold as firewood and we burned all the small stuff and "junk" We would work all summer to get enough wood to run the winter. Then spend the fall splitting it.
  11. I would think if they did repack it, like the USPS, they would tag it as a repack. I have gotten packages that had postal stickers basically saying "sorry we destroyed the box"
  12. I know a few guys that would love to have some pigeons to go on their land. Doves have dried up at their places and pigeons would be a good alternative. Now the neighbors might not like the idea. Not sure how a private event like a live bird shoot could get shut down. I know "hunting retreats" that still do it with quail and pheasant. I have never been much on those though, but I did not grow up bird hunting.
  13. We had this happen with a couple of huge Poplars a few years ago and I couldn't give them away. People only wanted them if I cut them up AND split if for them....then they wanted it free. My dad came and got the first one in a few loads after we blocked it up, but the second ended up rotting in blocks in the edge of my yard. I called saw mills and no one wanted to cut them because they were afraid of nails in them. One finally agreed, but only if I delivered them. That sank that deal.
  14. Read a true story about a guy a while back that came back from the military and lived in a boarding house. He basically fed himself with an old air rifle by killing pigeons in empty warehouses around this area. He would trade some for other food stuffs and eat some himself. Where I grew up they would actually bring shooters in to kill the pigeons off the courthouse when the population got to big. They would get in the attic and cause all kings of a mess. There is always a lot of food around if you keep an open mind.
  15. Great to hear. Usually and customer service person is irritated to hear this stuff happened, because at the very least it causes them more work. At the most, it is bad for the customer. Hopefully you do not have to wait long to get the fresh shipment. Heck, I almost expected them to just say keep it and ship you more since the shipping has to be a bit on it.
  16. Bet he eats salted pork and trades with the Indians while he waits for the deer to show up. lol
  17. Still 10 inch groups let you hit a deer or a guy that is intending on doing you harm if you pay attention. Like with my .22lr rifle. with cheap ammo I can put all 14 rounds in the 6 inch circle at a reasonable distance with irons. I figure that is good enough for me at my eye level and skill. Some people would call me a awful shot though
  18. Crap that is the worst job of shipping explosive items I have ever seen. I would call them to complain and see what they offer to do. If you were going to shoot them all this week, it would probably not be a big deal, but who knows how much rust you will get in 2 or 3 months. Plus you did not get what they advertised at all. I am betting this all got wet even before packing and that is why some of the boxes are missing. Lazy stock guys is probably more to blame that PSA as a whole. They figure if the box went out that their job is done...even if they did a crap job. Calling them will hopefully let them fix the issue before more people get this done to them.
  19. I figured it had to be next to horrible in accuracy, but still better than using the gun as a club.
  20. Ahh the things we did as kids. 1/2 genius and 1/2 stupid all in one. Sounds like you found a good solution to a problem and did the job you were asked to do. You guys have a mess of pigeon for dinner that night?
  21. I must have been typing mine when you posted, but exactly what I mean.
  22. I worry less about a ban than something happening that makes ammo unavailable in a meltdown kind of way. Heck, I have 20ga shells and I don't even have a 20ga. Lol. These would be a fallback tool plan D when you are out of anmo, have scrounged all your calibers you can find, ran out of reloading supplies, and need to use the ammo you just found in something since you do not have that caliber gun I know the ideal answer is to have guns of multiple calibers, but my budget limits my purchases. I know that is not the norm here. Most of you guys have waaayyy more guns than I will ever get to toy with. I also know this senerio is pretty unlikely, but like insurance, sometimes you get it hoping you never need it.
