  1. Ok. So I will sell 4000 rounds to the TGO @ $0.30 to buy the AR. 3000 rounds at $0.80 to the general public to make $2400 for taxes now I have a decent AR and 7000 rounds of 5.56 NATO for no out of pocket expense. Plus hopefully some happy TGOers who got some inexpensive ammo.
  2. If I win this I guess I need to sell enough to buy myself a nice AR. And I will do it here on the TGO. And I will sell it cheap because it was free to me. Like $0.30/round cheap. .
  3. Well don’t forget it completely. you still can’t shoot some but who is leaving your house.
  4. It does. But shooting somebody who is leaving your house and is no longer threatening your life is not justified.
  5. Alleycat, I will not profess to be the best Christian. But will say that I believe in the power of prayer and power of prayers given on one’s behalf. I have not lost a daughter, but I have a daughter and I know how important they are. I would be lost if she were gone. there is a longer story here but this is not the time. The short story is I had recurrent Hodgkins Lymphoma many years ago and was in the hospital about a month for a stem cell transplant. my pastor, as well as strangers would stop by and ask if I wanted a prayer. It helped. It helped just to have someone else carry the weight I was feeling, even if it was for a few minutes. It also helped to know friends and strangers we’re praying for me and my wife. So, a prayer from me to you and your family that you may have some peace, that you may have some comfort, and that you get to have as much time with your daughter as possible.
  6. Sweet pre-‘24 Colt. What year was it made?
  7. I like how the sweepstakes says the value of 14,000 5.56 Nato rounds is $8,500.
  8. The optimal word being “had”
  9. Academy Sports had Browning .223 Rem today $59.99 for 120 round Box.
  10. I still think the gun deal is a red herring
  11. No sniper, but I am ALWAYS armed.
  12. Why would you let complete stranger in the backseat of your car at night? Now, your drug dealer, that might happen
  13. I would not trust what IPAK puts out myself. They are anti-vaccines from what I understand. And have their own agenda
  14. If compromise is a loss, then nothing will ever get done. It will ALWAYS be us against them.
  15. Is that a nickel plated Beretta 92? Bling!
  16. Did you get the TX22 to the range? What’s your impression?
  17. What is there to stop the “thief” from just walking away, other than their ignorance of the law. If they are no longer threatening your life, you can’t claim self defense if You shoot. And you can’t shoot someone to defend your personal property. Am I forgetting something?
  18. That’s different if the threat is still there. But what I was saying was that even after having the gun on you, if the intruder has turned and left, if you then grabbed your gun and shot him, possibly in the back, you might have a hard time defending the action. You might still be scared, and still feel threatened, but in actuality the threat has at that point likely ended in the eyes of the law.
  19. I wish the hard top had the same patina. Unfortunately I kept the original hard top under my neighbors deck for about 15 years (I never put it on because the roll cage I had at the time was too tall) and it rusted badly in a few spots. Fortunately, a guy followed me home in late 2019 when I was driving the 40 and offered me a restored hard top for free. He needed the trailer it was stored on. I did not hesitate to accept the generous offer. The old hard top did find a new home on a buddies cruiser. He had just rolled his and needed a new top.
  20. As of now my baby is not for sale.
  21. 1978. I got this one in 1996.
  22. Having driven an FJ40 since I was 17 (over 30 years) I will have to say I think Toyota screwed the pooch with the FJCruiser. They had the opportunity to really put a sweet truck out there to compete with the Jeep JK Rubicon and they didn’t. The FJC is capable off road (I drove one with the Toyota Trails Team when they came to Tellico for GSMTR in 2007. But it could have been sooooo much better. Ford did it right with how they reintroduced the Bronco
