  1. Yep that one got me to. The govt will never want to give public access to that database. This also makes it become a privacy issue, not just a gun registration issue. Also the part that every one has to have a psych evaluation.
  2. But going back to the original post, you are not defending your house as “property”, you are defending your life from the fear of harm that an intruder might pose to you or your family. However, if you look outside and someone is breaking into your car, or stealing your motorcycle, you can’t run out and shoot them. If the intruder has your TV and is carrying it out the door, you can’t shoot them. Even if the intruder holds a gun on you, takes your valuables, but then turns and leaves your house, you can’t shoot them. You may want to, and you might even feel threatened, but I bet you would have a hard time defending the action in court.
  3. Well I feel better now. I really like how the new Bronco looks in all the photos. Then I saw what I thought was a new Bronco and thought it looked like @ss. If that was a Bronco Sport, then there is still hope. It reminded me of a Bronco II.
  4. Something that broad and far reaching will never pass. However it does not help when yahoos like to flaunt their firearms, or threaten elected public officials, regardless of which party they represent. That only fuels the fire. This one won’t pass, but then someone else will draft a less comprehensive one, or less restrictive one. And it probably won’t pass. But eventually, if idiots continue to push, and threaten, and scare folks who are afraid of guns, one will finally pass.
  5. I also have this...
  6. What?! Sell my baby?
  7. I used to wheel a lot before my daughter was born. This was back when Tellico OHV was still open and Windrock was just mostly trails. My 40 has seen it’s fair share of abuse and breakage. You learn to wrench in the dirt pretty quickly when you were wheeling at Tellico. Summertown was another place to go. Not sure if it is still open or not. I think Windrock has some a good extreme trails now. Along with Jellico and others.

  9. I have not seen this happen myself, but I usually am heading to the office as soon as I leave. I did have an Academy Sports employee tell me had happed in the past. He said the folks at least left the Academy Sports parking lot.
  10. Truth. It was 68 here in Nashville Monday. It’s 37 now with a low tonight of 26. But Welcome (in advance) to the Great State of Tennessee.

Will keep him in my prayers
  12. The folks who go to the Cool Springs Academy Sports are civil and stay in line. We all just calmly walk to the back and take our turn getting the ammo we want.
  13. Who has experience with TNARMSCO polymer lower receivers and what do you think of them? https://store-z1t759.mybigcommerce.com/ar15-tac-9-complete-lowers/
  14. Skyfall
  15. I think a box of 10,000 small primers sold for $4000 on Gunbroker
  16. Their prices just keep going up. 12 days ago they only wanted $1.39 per round
  17. I just get surplus military ammo cans and some dense cell foam and make my own. Metal and water tight. If you are storing for a while, pick up some bags of silica gel (easy to find on Amazon) and drop one in each can to control moisture.
  18. Is $0.60 per round a good price for 10mm?
  19. I don’t want to pay 3x the price for ammo.
  20. So it is a known fact that Academy gets their ammo (if they get any at all, there was none today) on Monday and Friday. The first 10 or so folks start lining up at about 7:45am I suppose. I usually get there by 8:15 after taking my daughter to school. By the time they open at 9:00 there is often a fairly good line. You only get three boxes. If one box is 150rnd or more, the other two have to be less than 150. You are not supposed to go back through the line. I have not seen enough ammo in stock on a given day (except right before Christmas when the got a TON of ammo) to even last the entire line of folks. Monday I was able to get three 50 rnd boxes of 9mm, good for a day at the range. They usually get a good bit of 9mm (both target and defense). I have not seen 45 for a while except in MS right after Christmas. They did happen to have 38 Special on Monday.
  21. I am buying so I can shoot. But I am sure there are some re-sellers. Academy has kept their prices reasonable. I think I have paid between $0.24 and $0.30 per round for 9mm. As long as folks on Gunbroker continue to pay stupid amounts for ammo (near $1.00 per round fir 9mm) people will resell.
  22. I have been somewhat regularly heading to my local Academy Sports (Cool Springs for me) before they open to get in line to by ammo. Before Christmas it was Mon/Wed/Fri for shipments, now it is just Mon/Fri. (Not that I can, or could go every day) There are a number of regulars as well. That got me wondering if anyone else from the TGO was doing the same thing.
