So in an earlier post to this thread, I mentioned that I know someone who tested positive for the virus. My wife and I attended an event last Saturday evening where there was an attendee who was unknowingly positive for Covid-19. This is the person I was referring to. He tested positive just after the event as did his wife. There have now been numerous parents who tested positive after attending this event including my wife. We have been quarantined since Wednesday when we heard about the exposure. My wife had minor symptoms leading up to getting tested and only did so at the request of her supervisor. Otherwise, the symptoms were so mild we would have discounted them completely. Up to this point and I have not had any symptoms. I believe most who attend and are positive are doing well, but I do know of at least one person who is in the hospital. if I understand correctly, there could be 16 positive cases from this one event. That close to doubles the number in the State as of earlier this week. This was a relatively small event with maybe 100-150 people. As easily as it was transmitted there, I expect to see the number of cases jump significantly in Tennessee and the US over the next week. Demographically, we are both 50 with a 14.5yo daughter. We are doing well, have food and TP. Just not looking forward to another week+ in the house. (Especially with an upset 14.5yo moody daughter who did not get to go to the beach for Spring Break, and who is mad that Billie Eilish postponed her concert here at Bridgestone.

Is it me, or is anyone else seeing a creep up in per round ammo prices? I’m seeing 9mm 115 gr brass case upwards of $0.25 to $0.29 per round. I bought PMC 115gr 9mm at $8.99 per box last month from Ammuntion Depot. Also, as a tac-pac sling bag with 350 rounds of PMC 9mm was $93.00. Now the same package is $142. looks like price gouging to me.

P365XL Difficultly Racking Slide Discussion
Snaveba replied to Snaveba's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I have been to the range since I sanded and polished the disconnector to soften the angle a small amount. I have not Made it to the range since swapping the disconnectors. I feel pretty confident that all should be safe. It does not make sense that the disconnector would change (for the worse) between the P365 and the P365XL. They are basically the same frame and chassis. Everything is swappable. You can run a P365XL slide and barrel on a P365 and vise versa. You can put the chassis of a P365 in a P365XL frame with either slide. The trigger is slightly different. Think I have anything to worry about with the swapped disconnector? -
If your a plumber, and your specialty is installing bidets, you are set to make bank.

I don’t think Trump would have a beer with ANY of us. We are not nearly rich or powerful enough to even begin to be on his radar.

P365XL Difficultly Racking Slide Discussion
Snaveba replied to Snaveba's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
“Thank you for contacting Sig Sauer The pistols are made very tightly and there is a 250-300 round break in period where it may become a little easier. We can certainly bring in the firearm for inspection to see if everything is within specs.” I did order a new disconnector from Sig ($9). They do not have a separate Small Parts Shopper page for the P365XL so I ordered the one for the P365. Comparing the two, the leading edge of the one I ordered of definitely a shallower angle than the one that was installed on my P365XL. The P365XL is on the left, new on the right. I did do a small amount of fine sanding on the one on the left, so originally the angle was slightly steeper. (I wish I had waited until the new one can in). It does feel easier to rack with the new piece installed. -
unless you are wearing a full face respirator, don’t bother as a means of keeping yourself from getting exposed you are much more likely to pick up the virus by touching an infected surface and then rubbing your eye, touching your mouth, or picking your nose with the virus on you hands (hence the rational of washing handed a lot) the a mask does not cover your eyes. Even if you are wearing a mask, if someone coughs in your face, your eyes are an easy entry point. Wear a mask if you are or think you are sick to protect others from YOUR coughs and sneezes. Self Quarantine is appropriate is you think you are infected, or think you have been exposed. Although as many have said, not all can work from home. Stock up on essentials, but don’t go crazy.

As of now, they are relatively fine. No serious symptoms. But since some of the data is possibly indicating that the 50-60 age group is more susceptible, it is a watch and wait situation.

Then it was close to home.

It was something that was just “out there”. and then it wasn’t.

And over the next several weeks, I would bet many of you all will be in the same position.

I know someone who is positive, who’s family is likely positive, and some others who are waiting to find out (the test is not instant like a flu test).

Just don’t look again until mid summer.

However if it was 100 years ago, it would probably kill many, many more.

I’ve been married 20+ years and with my wife for 27+ years. One thing I’ve learned, husbands are trained, wives do the training. But seriously, it is a good idea for a couple to be on the same page when it comes to home defense.
