Last Tuesday. Planned to go this morning which is my usual practice but since there's a NASCAR race in town it's raining like Noah's last days.

+1 for Gore-tex. I've used it since the mid 70's and it's hard to beat for prolonged wear out in the elements.

So I've done a little work on the gun with the help of Numrich. New barrel, bushing, and link. Springs, firing pin and replica grips. Soaked and cleaned the weapon but haven't altered the finish in any way. Should be ready for a range trip once I hand load a few moderately charged rounds.

I picked up a full size and a compact years ago. Sold the full size and kept the compact. Not a bad gun except for those crappy trapezoidal sights. I put a standard sight on my compact and I can actually hit the target now...lol.

I've got a couple of Tauruses (Tauri?), a Steyr. Kahr, and some CZ's

But I have to ask, other firms manage to ship with no problems. I wonder if whomever bought Wideners was just eliminating the competition.

check gunbroker closed sales. I recently picked up a Colt 1918 vintage myself and found Gunbroker showed a pretty good range of value. I think that front sight has been replaced. Numrich is your friend for date appropriate parts. I just got my order in to repair mine.
