Chew tobacco, wear overalls, and you'll fit right in.

I rode a bike for years, and only ever found a couple of detection loops that wouldn't pick up a motorcycle. It does happen, but seems to be somewhat rare. I'm sure you guys know, it seems a lot don't however, that one has to remain INSIDE the detection loop in order to activate it. Most people assume six feet in front of it is somehow better.

pro gun decals acting as lighthouse for thieves

I didn't intend to blame it on facebook. Facebook only allows an idiot to be an idiot on a worldwide stage. I liken it to a magnifying glass. -

You put stickers all over your vehicle advertising it's full of guns, and then are surprised when it gets broken into? Sort of like posting on facebook you're leaving for a 10 day cruise, then returning to find your house has been robbed. I've never understood either. -
Welcome to Tennessee.........but if we EVER hear you utter the phrase "that's not how we did it in California", someone named Bubba will be along shortly to kick your azz back to whence it came.

Perhaps I miss the point of your post, or perhaps you live in the wrong damn country.

An auction/ Cowboy's dream!!!
gregintenn replied to gregintenn's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Yep. A bunch of old Marlin levers, and even a Bullard rifle. The first one I can remember ever seeing in person. Must have been a pawn shop or antique store that went out of business. They had a lot of antique metal signs, pottery, etc. as well. The metal signs brought ridiculous money, as did the silver dollars. -
An auction/ Cowboy's dream!!!

I did once before. You'll know the pretty old brick house across the road from the nuclear plant on hwy 25. They auctioned it several years back. Among the contents, they simply listed rifle. I left there with a like new pre 64 Model 70 Winchester, target barrel, in 220 Swift, complete with original sling and 12x Weaver scope for a song. It doesn't happen often, however. -
I've never seen anything like this before. There wasn't many people at this local auction, and prices for guns and knives were at near giveaway levels, so, being a good TGO member, I tried to do my part. I scored an 1894 Marlin in 38-40, a Colt DA 38, A Colt Bisley in 45 Colt, a Remington New Navy Cartridge Conversion with perfect ivory grips, a Cattaraugus pocket knife, and a Winchester pocket knife. Not pictured is a 1917 Commercial Smith and Wesson my father confiscated from me. I guess a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.

I think it saw storage instead of battle. -

Well then, you're a great photographer, because in the photos, it looks unusually good for a military battle rifle. -

I always thought those were really cool, but never owned one. Yours looks to be in extremely good condition. Don't let it get away! -
Heck! We go to Hoover every summer. I never noticed it.
-
Cool! Maybe it'll catch on down here.

I only caught two stripe, and had something bite the tail off a plastic worm. I guess I'm gonna need to learn how to fish again. Dang, it's hot!!!
-
Somehow, this seems fitting.

Anybody been lately? I'm thinking about giving it a shot in the morning. Bass biting?

Tyler T. One of the best products I can think of, produced by one of the most mismanaged companies ever.

He's not famous or anything. Just a local fella. I would be surprised if anyone who doesn't live here would know who he is

C.L. Gammon. He writes historical stuff. "Macon County Race War" and "Hanging the Macon County Witch" we're the two I had an interest in.
-
I've never been to one before, but just went to a well publicized book signing for a local author. He has written at least two I'd like to purchase. We got there, and the dude had no books to sale. Is this normal, or is he the worst self promoter ever?

Sight solution for Long and short range
gregintenn replied to ReeferMac's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
My kid has some sort of tactical 3-9 scope on his, and 45 degree offset iron sights. Works great. -
Last winter, I replaced the transfer case and front differential in my 02 Silverado, which would be the same as yours. Replacing the transfer case wasn't a tough job at all. I bought a rebuilt one on ebay. I think it was about $750 if I remember correctly. The only extra thing you'll need is the gasket that goes between the transmission and transfer case, and someone to operate the floor jack for you when you pull the old one and put in the new one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-GMC-NP246-Rebuilt-Transfer-Case-2002-Down-/301540393661?hash=item46353542bd:g:qHkAAMXQCndRgcc8 Cheaper than mine was, but same seller. *edit to add* Of course you'll need some of the elusive blue juice....aka.....auto track II fluid.
