  1. Check out the classified forum here. Porkchop has a real nice Remington 887 for sale.   I'd go for it myself but working on spending all I can get on a Dan Wesson.
  2. I particularly disliked the "finge element" comment.
  3. Cagey little devils, aren't they?   The little buggers torment my aussie shephard by running along the other side of the fencing on the ground teasing her.
  4. OUTSTANDING, CPL. BOSTON!
  5. Yes, I went about 11:00, and as was said, line was long. Waited about 40 min to enter. Had a couple of guns checked and took my fate in hand and went onto the floor.   Crowd was pretty pleasant. Didn't get stepped on, but jostled several times. Prices were as expected. Stocks short. First time buyers aplenty.   Spoke with some of them while in line. And when several got disgusted waiting and left.   I did get into one conversation with a middleaged couple. They expressed some surprise at the crowd. Said they were looking to buy something for "protection" before all were banned.   It seems that this was the first time really thinking about buying a firearm and they really seemed interested in the whole process and experience.   I did offer to help, but they declined. Saying a friend was inside and going to help them.   So I wished them good luck and thanked them for coming out.   I did a little looking while there, but really was trying to sell or trade an LCP and a PPS.   Sold the little Ruger, but no interested parties for the Walther.   Don't know if I'd go back tomorrow or not.
  6. Shame on you Steel!!
  7. With you brother!
  8. Congrats on the PMR-30, barewoolf. I've had one for about a year and love it. Breakin on it was a little disturbing, but has settled down after about 300 rounds or so. Biggest problem I had was ftf when trying to laod mags pst 25/26 rounds. And that last few rounds were difficult at best. I've shot every brand of .22WMF I can get hold of thru mine, even the Keltec disavowed Fiocchi, and it eats them all. Yes, these days .22mag is getting closer to the same cost as some other calibers, and it is a conscious decision to buy and shoot them. But for me, it's just plain fun. I have a S&W K-frame in .22WMR and I absollutely love it! Some the most accurate shooting I've ever done has been with this little wheelgun. Of course it has a little sentimental value as well as I got it from my Dad. All in all, I like the cartridge, granted it may or may not float your boat, but like everything else in this firearms world; I'ts what you like that counts most. As to the .22WMR in a semiauto rifle, I really don't have any experience. I'd like to get a Henry chambered for it, but just a few ahead of it at this time. And as for Mike.357 and his comment, though we usually agree....PPHHFFFTT. But will concede .22 is a little cheaper. At least it was until recently. Hve you looked at the case prices on 22? Whoa!!
  9. Oh yes...you'll be welcome here, Missy! Just don't break too many hearts or heads.
  10. No, but love the miniguns. And have seen way too many videos of them being fired. And maybe one or two being handled by females, so just thought it and your handle were a great pick.
  11. Welcome to the nuthouse. And I love your avatar.
  12. Also you might try Stephen A. Camp's Hipowersandhandguns.com. Real interesting site.
  13. I've been wanting a good levergun in 38/357 for a while. The Marlin is a good choice, and since I am a big fan of multiple guns in the same caliber, that's where I'd go. But that being said, I already got a decent AK. Not a great one, but it works for me.
  14. Garufa, you can easily be forgiven for you misconception. We've been told for so long that The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, its Amendments, and the Bill of Rights are merely "Suggestions" and open to interpretation by the President, Congress, and the Supreme Court at any given time to suit whatever agenda is necessary. As Dennis has suggested, a return to our "orginal Constitutional Republic" would be a wonderful thing. Will it happen? Doesn't look like it.
  15. Shouldn't have to talk anyone into a Glock CZ. All it takes is to be objective and find if it fits your grip. That was the test for me. I listened to the "Glocks are crap" comments for years, actually believing that some of these guys knew something I didn't. I finally took one reluctantly in a trade. A G19 actually. It wasn't love at fist sight/touch, but I found I could shoot it as well as my then favorite, an XD9c, and it felt pretty good in my hand. I may be just lucky to have small to mid size hands, but the 19/23 frames are perfectly sized for me. And I do like the finger grooves. But then I like the backstrap safety on the Springfields as well. That led me to spending some time with the Glock platform, which led me to buying more Glocks. And no, I didn't sell off all my XD guns. In fact I still have three of them; the XD9c, the FS XD in .357 Sig, and a 5" Tactical 45. I actually like the 45 better than my G21. I'm not Glock or XD only. I like different guns/brands/calibers. Each have their own feel and purpose. Just find what you want it for; carry, home defense, range, or whatever. Then pick your favorite. If it works for you, that's all that's important.
  16. Can't have the uninformed people thinking there are more than that looking for ways of self-protection and preservation.
  17. Been there too. But I did it real stupid. Got one of the Gamo Air rifles a few years ago and was in the back yard trying it out. This sucker has the stiffest trigger I ever dealt with on an air gun, so I pulled that little sucker up close and tight to steady it. Pulled the trigger. Bamm! Got the prettiest little curve over my nose and eyebrow. Went back to work the next Monday, walked into the office, and immediately got ridiculed by a big-time hunter there. He walked over, looked at me, grinned, and asked what caliber I was shooting. Shammed by it all I told him .177. He walked away laughing.

My position exactly. I started out with the 9c, found a FS, and acquired the Shield last week. Made an offer on a FS in 45 at the last Hendersonville gs, but the "private seller" and I were just too far apart. I've rented tables at shows and sold/traded a few of my guns, but this guy has been to every H'ville, Murfreesboro, and a few out of the area shows I've been to as well. Always has lots of newer guns, both pistols and rifles, as well as a lot of miscelleanous tac stuff. I ran out of stuff I wanted to move after 3 shows.
  20. Second that notion. Just got one from Eastside Gun Shop on Friday afternoon. Been thinking about a Henry in .22WMR, but one I picked this up and tried the smooth action....well, it came home with me.
  21. I Like It!!!
  22. Right!! Goldenrods or Everdry rechargables.
  23. I'm in total agreement with you. I hope you all saw the young man's rebuttal to the Celebritiy Demand for a Plan. It was awesome.
