  1. The PT series guns look great with wood grips especially the stainless ones.
  2. We are cosmopolitan, men of the world. Liberated and capable of doing anything we set our minds to.
  3. That's pretty much the case. I understand the Beretta clones were initially made in Brazil on machinery Taurus purchased from Beretta. Can't speak to the holster question, but I have had several of the PT full-size guns, a PT100/40, and the PT92, and never had an issue with them. They were pretty much some of the best Taurus guns I've ever had.
  4. Well it was a guess anyway. But with some of that German cuisine, don't make fun of my hush puppies.
  5. Currently have a set of Peltor muffs. I like them a lot, but I keep forgetting to turn them off so the batteries ar always dead.
  6. Yeah, hush puppies and catfish. Not much better. It does seem to be somewhat of a Southern tradition. As does cornbread cakes with barbeque. But I have had hush puppies with bbq and think it's pretty good. Actually can't rmember where in Nashville/middle tenn that it was though.
  7. Why not? Got any good pork tenderloin ideas? I tried to get Bill to try mine the other day. I don't think it was appreciated.hey, it just proves we are all multifaceted individuals with many skills to offer the world.
  8. Good points. I have taken a Bissel back because it was just too heavy and bulky for convenient use.
  9. Okay. It's a joke.
  10. Ok, seriously, Macgyver; what do you mean about being agressive on floors. We have hardwood and throw rugs.
  11. Mac and Caster. I just choked on my drink. That was priceless.. "..sucked up a whole other dog." Great. I laughed til tears came. My Austrialian Shephard/Border Collie came in to see what was wrong. I recovered from that. Then... "it really sucks...no wait " And I lost it again. Too good.
  12. Man, that was fast. I guess more of the guys here do floors that we let on. I do some of the house cleaning, not very well according to my wife, but the old vac is really pitiful, so a new one is in order. We've been burnt on some of the high-end specialty vacs in the past, so I was curious. Really. Thanks for the input. I keep seeing the ads and guess it's time to buy.

  14. Ok, this is about as far away from the norm as I've seen lately. Thinking about getting a new vaccum. The Dyson story and ad hype seems good. But is it? Has anyone here bought one? Used one? Know anything about them? The all-floors model seems to be a good choice, or perhaps the one for pet hair. Comments? As usual, thanks for any help you can give.
  15. Perhaps being said a little more plainly than previous comments: Run, don't walk, away from this. Way too many things against it to feel good about. It's not worth the risk.
  16. Really. i wondered at that myself. Who's idea to meet there? yours or his?
  17. Yes, very nice. Let us know how it shoots.
  18. Thanks. I should have checked the gun show lists. Just a little brain damaged today.
  19. Great reason to run, not walk, from the house.
  20. Very sad tale. It's a shame that "professional" sports has fallen to this level. You have to wonder just how widespread this "un-official" practice might be.
  21. Why is the Murfreesboro show "out of the picture?"

    oh yes

    I'm sorry.
  23. No. I mean that opinions vary on the validity of the post comment by samiam73 to the effect that you should "Aviod the Carbon 15 at all costs." I have owned one, and have had experience with several, as well as know people who own them. What's the difference in have a carbonfiber lower and having a polymer lower? Good and bad can and does happen in virtually all makes of production. Blanket dismissals like that are not necessarily true, or the opinion of all. But....this is just my opinion.
