  1. Very nice, but as already stated, little too pricey for my poor resources.
  2. Maybe I got the exceptional one produced, but the trigger pull on my PMR30 is pretty good. A liitle takeup in it, but not overly long, good clean break and pretty soft. Not hard or difficult at all. And yes, you are right. It's not a precision shooting gun for matches, but it's one hell of a fun range gun, and I can pick off the odd varmint or scavanging crow without problems with it.
  3. Lack of cool factor.
  4. Opinions vary.
  5. Oh there's very little in a rifle that I'd wait for. Everything I looked at was available to me for immediate pickup. I'm too much of an AR novice to start ordering special guns. If I can't run my paws over it, I ain't waiting to buy.
  6. Like the guns at Walmart, ask the clerks, a fair selection can be ordered. Not as much as you'd like, I'm sure, but I talked to a sales associate who seemed to care about selling at a Nashville store last fall. Was told that a lot of inventory was available to them.
  7. I don't think you'll be disappointed with them. I've never had an issue with any of my Springfield guns, my contact with them has been for manuals and foam for the boxes. I found them to be pleasant to speak with and swift to get what I wanted to me. Of course I had to purchase the box foam though.
  8. Definitely this. I've held and shot the M&P 9 full-size and own the PMR30. The M&P is a great gun, but a bit large for my taste. The 9c is more to my liking. As far as the PMR30, it's a great, absolutely fun range toy, hiking or backpack gun. Light and easy to shoot. Don't undestand Jonin's comment on the trigger though. i found it to be quite smooth, easy and comfortable. Not an overly long pull either. I absolutely love my little kel-tec. I've been offerred more than I paid for it, and I would not sell it. And although it's not a standard for a SD gun, in a pinch, I would not be afraid to use it for that purpose. I would not like to be shot with a 22mag round, or any for that matter.
  9. WOW!!
  10. Maybe you do. But not for that reason anyway.
  11. Don't have any earthshattering news on the SD series, but I have had both the Sigma 9 and still have an SD40 kit. The Sigma wasn't a bad gun, especially as an entry level product. Trigger could have been a little better on it, but I have had worse. I finally traded it, don't really remember what for. Did get an SD40 a while back in a trade with Magiccarpetrides and I like it. Wish it was a 9 though. but as the 40 goes, it's not bad. May be one of the few 40 cal guns I will keep.
  12. You say that now. But just wait...
  13. Thanks, I guess I read that too fast and got confused. So rifles may have a loaded magazine inserted and no round chambered or mags kept seperately? Does the carry permit have any bearing on this? BTW, thanks for your legal opininons here. I know I appreciate the clarifications you offer for us.
  14. Nice Mary. What flavor is the little lady?
  15. Ok, I'll admit to puzzlement and possibly ignorance here. You can't have a round chambered in your hand gun in the car if you have a carry permit? Does it matter if it's on your person or beside you? Or in the glove box? Seems contradictory?

    Bullpup 870!

    Go for it, Steel!
  17. How about Smith and Wesson revolvers? Some are still readily available and reasonably priced. Though in the recent past, they, along with most everything else in the firearms world; are rising in price. Sixties and seventies K/N frame guns in various calibers are still in great shape and can be had in most calibers. And what about the 2nd and 3rd generation Smith autos. A new market seems to be opening up on these as they are taken out of service use and put on the open market. JMO

    Bullpup 870!

In either event, a bullpup shotty is a vaiable design and I;m suprised we haven't seen more of them on the market. but I guess the extended tubes and Saiga- like magazine styles have gotten all the publicity.
  19. Yes. those were some really fantastic shots from moving vehicles. But don't you know, all the survivors will be deadly accurate shots with any weapons they have or can find. And did't you know Rick's gun was the new 12-shot revolver?

    Bullpup 870!

Dang!! The Saiga bullpup looks nice as well. What's going on here Smith? Are you and BVD trying to see who can find the wildest new toys?

    Bullpup 870!

Hmmmmm. I think I like it. I haven't gone overboard on shotguns yet.
  22. While it is another caliber to hoard, getting a revolver with a magnum cyclinder can be a lot of fun. Or get one of the PMR30, if you can find one, from Keltec. It's quite an impressive little and very lightwight gun. One of my favorite 22 Magnums, right along side my K-22.
  23. Nice shooting there, my friend.
  24. No plans to produce?!?!? How sad. I'd have to get on the waiting list with you Mikey.
  25. Didn't we just recently have a thread commenting on how Obama couldn't do anything woith the approval of Congress? I believe I stated then that he had a tendancy to bypass Comgress and go straight to Executive Order to impliment his plans?
