  1. And what makes you think you will have it here?
  2. Congratulations. Now head to the nearest Walmart for the mandatory break-in first cc walk.
  3. Nice collection! That had to put a dent in the old wallet! It would empty mine many times over.
  4. Great idea with the pics, Broomhead. I got it.
  5. DING! DING! DING! We have a winning awnser. Just like the gun manufacturer and shipping with one mag. Get'em coming back.
  6. That was a very nice collection. I know we all hope to see it returned to the rightful owner as soon as possible.

Didn't explain why I prefered the G30 over the G36. Basically, it's the same reason I don't care for any other of the G series subcompacts. i just can't feel comfortable with my pinky hanging out in midair. I like the feel of the full grip available on the 19/30/23 frames. I realize many will disagree with me on it, but I'm not dissing the guns, I just am not comfortable with the smaller grip.
  8. All joking aside, I know there are many of us who do use carry bags of different types in their daily lives. I just haven't been the tyoe of person who found them necessary. But with the widespread use of PC/laptops and a multitude of other gadgets that are seemingly indispensible to some of our daily routines; I can see the advantages. I personally never had the need to use one, but can see that under certain conditions that it would be a benefit. I know many people, young and old farts like myself, who carry some type of shoulder bag or backpack on a daily basis. And it is truly amazing what gets carried around in them. Where possible, I promise I will attempt to refrain from snide comments. After all, I might have to use one someday.
  9. Seriously, the mens room seems to be in the lead for about the most dangerous place for us guys who carry. If someone isn't leaving a gun behind, or dropping it on the floor when dropping pants, then the reholstering ND comes into play. Next it'll be someone putting a round into the urinal.

JMHO here. But what about the Glock 30? 10+1 rounds of 45acp in a good-size package. And if that's too much for you, there's the G36. Although I prefer the 30 over the 36.
  11. OH SNAP!!! You tell'em, sister!
  12. That's a great idea! I used to send the envelope back empty, but this is much better.
  13. Sounds perfectly logical to me.
  14. Firearms in general are addicting. 1911s are the worst of the bunch. It's like crack....just snares you in and you can't let go.
  15. Unless you are very familiar with the inner workings of handguns in general, and the 1911 in particular, have a good working knowledge of at least basic mechanical and tool skills...have a good gunsmith do it. Take the word of one who learned the hard way.
  16. Guns and Ammo/ Rifleman/ G&A Handgunner
  17. I'd agree with the above comments. Maybe try an entry level 1911 first. Metro Arms, RIA, and others can be had under 500 to get you started. I took a Metro Arms 1911-A1 in a trade recently and it seems pretty good.
  18. That's even more distrubing.
  19. Did you catch the "this is video number 20" bit? He's done that many? Scary.
  20. Same production style and voice as the ads on Gun.Broker hawking his "37 Essential items to hoard/that will disappear from grocery shelves" or some such. Unless I'm badly mistaken this is the same man. And the intro line here "if you have 20-30 minutes" is way off, at 1 hour and 15 min, it's still running. Not saying that there aren't valid points in each presentation, but the base is that he wants your money. And this is his pitch.
  21. Just my experiences here. I've owned 2 Kahr pistols: a K9 Stainless and a blued 40 vesion of the same. I didn't care for either one. Just felt awkward to me and I couldn't get to like the long trigger pull on them. As to reliability, both were absolutey flawless. Took anything I loaded and never balked. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one if the trigger was more to my liking. I even find myself eyeing a used CM9 at the lgs.
  22. Not the most intuitative about changing things around. I may or may not do any converting to it. We will see. After doing a little more looking, I found a fully converted Saiga for not much difference in price. Almost find myself thinking of buying it and offerreing the unconverted for sale. Or maybe just keep it as is. Hey, I never said I could stick to one thing at a time.
  23. Not to grip at you, but you'll get more chance of awnsers to your questions if you repost this in the Handguns Forum, not here in New Memeber Introductions. Just sayin'
  24. I second that motion, Caster.
  25. Color me skeptical. Looked at the site, but couldn't get the video portion to come up. I'll try again later not using the link above.
