  1. GGP2JZ got me to thinking about my favorite movies and that led me to this line of thinking. I saw The Wild Geese about 20 years ago and was blown away by it. One of my alltime favorites. Richard Burton, Richard Harris, and about every good actor in England at the time in one great movie. Anyone else like it? What's yours?
  2. Some really great movies mentioned here: Lonesome Dove, Groundhog Day, The Godfather, 300...But to show my age and movie taste, I'd have to vote for Armageddon. I've sat thru it countless times, it seems and still don't tire of it. Close second choices would be the orginial Terminator( I watched that four times one day) and The Green Berets.
  3. Glad to here it's coming back. Bummer to hear that about the missing characters though. I just got the second season dvd and hadn't watched yet. Notice that Brit seasons seem to be very short on these shows? Sometimes 6 to 10 episodes? And they will kiss off a mainline actor/character in a heartbeat. Example of MI5; lead agents and subordinates drop like flies. Just when you get used to the accent and can understand all the dialog--Bang of Boom--he or she is gone.
  4. Ditto on Primeval. Also, have any of you watched the BBC series MI5? My wife and I have been watching it for a couple of years now and it's really pretty good. The first five seasons were about like a British 24, but the last two have been somewhat more portraying the division between the US and Britian and showing US characters in a less than sterling light.
  5. You can have it, all it takes is...no will power. And the insane desire to have one of everything. Plus the wife to tell you to sell something before bringing another one in. Sometimes I even listen to her.
  6. Just did a quick count. I got a six-pack. Do I qualify?
  7. Alright, now I've got to watch it again. The wife's working late anyway. So won't have to listen to her ask why I watch things like that. A good woman, she just doesn't appreciate good sifi or sarcastic humor, Especially in zombie movies.
  8. Welcome in. But beware, strange things happen here. Ididn't own a glock when I came, now I have a 22 and a 30. But the G30 is the best.
  9. Absolutely beautiful gun. Not my style, but really stands out on the frame.
  10. Big sucker. He's over my let live limit. I don't like snakes either. We have a spring beside the house and if they stay off the walk and away from the back steps, They can stay. But when bold enough to come into my space...or that big...somebody or something has to go.
  11. Great job. Very good looking work. And I do understand your comment, especially this weekend looking at new belts.
  12. You do great work! My wife wants some shrubbery moved and you look experienced with earth-moving tools now. Interested? HMMMMM?
  13. Two cases of Jevon Kearse bobbleheads.

Thanks for the info, lowery100. I'm not sure, but I believe the dealer I spoke with was from Lewisburg. I was waslking around and saw the GSG rifles and asked if they had seen the 1911 model. And was told they had one in their display case. I looked it over and was impressed with it overall, see my post above. Maybe after the Keltec PRM-30, I'll add it to the stable.
  15. The Jim Carey spoof of Ice was better.

Saw a GSG 1911 today at the Goodman show. Priced at 329+tx and bgcheck. Finish was fair, some pitting in evidence, don't believe the paint will hold up a long while but overall looks good. Felt real good. Nice weighty mag that dropped smoothly. Adjustable sights with yellow three dot system. Had I not just bought a Sprignfield TRP that jumped off the table and attached itself to me like glue, I'm pretty sure the GSG would have come home with me.

    My BAD Habit

Just browsing this morning and found this. OMG! My wife must never see a scene like that. She knows I have them, but the sight of them all in one sitting might be deterimental to my health and well-being. But that's a nice collection of long guns. I typically go for handguns, but I see a disturbing pattern beginning lately--a few more long barrels are showing up around the house.
  18. I'll add my late "Thanks" as well. Looking for new muffs and this gives me great information to work with. Just on the basis of these posts I've gotten some very good ideas of what I need to look for. Thanks again.
  19. That definitely identifies the situation. As I was pulling the sheets out I noticed what I thought was fiberglass threads in the board. This was full 3/4 thickness with spacer blocks about every 12-16 inches to attach to the metal walls. The interior wall was held off the safe wall about a half inch by these spacers. The basic constuction was quite simple so I expect that with cleaning, painting, and sealing; the safe should still be just fine for it's intended purpose.

Do you mind telling who you ordered thru? I understood the initial run was sold out. I think I'd like to order one as well. And I'd just gotten a steal on a Sig Mosquito with a threaded barrel. Oh well, at least I can afford to shoot 22.
  21. MY day didn't amount to as much as some of you guys. I got up and cleaned the house, did six loads of laundry, remade the beds and stayed out of the wife's way so she could plant her flowers for the dog to dig up. Then came here for my daily entertainment.
