  1. Fine, just fulfill the govt. contract to the exact number, change the label and rebrand it for the commercial market. I am also not sure how the Govt can just change the contract terms for the supplier. Winchester is not a govt entity. I have done plenty of business with govt. They don't get to tell us what we can and can't sell to other people. If the Govt is supplying the whole goods, then maybe, but that doesn't make sense either.

  3. My garden is far enough away from the house that watering without some type of line to it would be annoying. I trenched in a line last year and put in a drip irrigation system. It makes it so much nicer just to turn on the faucet and let it water everything from the base and not waste a bunch of water with sprinklers. At the end of the year, I just unhook each drip line and roll it up and use it again the next year. A bit of cost, but a garden saver at times like this. https://smile.amazon.com/Drip-Irrigation-Small-Farms-Water/dp/B019CPLJVC/ref=sr_1_5?crid=VXXVEY86V7UE&keywords=drip+depot+irrigation+kit&qid=1655242520&sprefix=drip+dep%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-5 Or go to www.dripdepot.com. They have a lot of options.
  4. For what? 22-250 is my favorite caliber. Love some high speed small bullets.
  5. I am a big fan of Milwaukee, but for Lawn related items, I think EGO is about the best there is right now. The problem with all of this is one ends up with so many chargers, etc. If you are just building up your arsenal (so to speak), one brand is definitely the way to go. I have had Makita 18v's for so many years I can't remember how many and have so many tools it would cost me thousands to upgrade to Milwaukee although I would like to and am sure I will at some point. I added the EGO 750 cfm blower recently and it is excellent. It has replaced my Echo backpack blower. I am not ready to start selling my Stihl trimmers, pole saw, etc just yet, but that day may come (although my extendable pole saw isn't going anywhere). Being on a farm, batteries will only go so far when cutting trees, etc, so I don't see myself going away from gas on those anytime soon, but for small jobs they are nice. Although the new small Stihl saws are so light it's really a toss up.
  6. Easy to make headlines. Look deeper. From the order: We received your letters dated April 28, 2022, requesting to transfer General Revenue funds—as detailed below—to the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor Strategy A.1.1., Disaster Funds. These transfers are meant to support the deployment of the National Guard with $465.3 million and to support border operations in other state agencies with $30 million. We understand the Fiscal Years 2020-2021 appropriations would otherwise lapse and be unavailable to your agencies and that the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations have been fully funded with other sources. Thus this transfer will not affect any agency or program function.
  7. I was out on Sunday. Great riding weather.
  8. As an atheist, I will take a bit of a different view, but will ultimately not be far off from what I think most "God" people on here are saying. First, I don't believe that you have to be "religious" to understand right from wrong and to have a moral compass. Morals is a broad subject and we aren't going to agree on everything, but it's pretty simple to know right from wrong in the context of killing people. Why does this keep happening? Because for the most part, no one is held accountable. In the case of kids doing these things, we need to start holding parents accountable. I don't just mean a slap on the wrist or financial. I mean with extreme prejudice. If you want to coddle, cajole, and otherwise not take any responsibility for how your kids acts and the actions they take, then society should emphatically make an example of you. At some point, even the dumbest people stop putting their hands on the hot stove.
  9. Good choice. When you get to buying a saw, go with this one. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-7-1-4-in-Rear-Handle-Circular-Saw-Tool-Only-2830-20/309245503 PS: I should have added, keep the 5amp battery. At some point you will even want some smaller 2 amp batteries.
  10. I'm surprised they're not on the front of every MSM site available. It's the bigotry that drove him to it because he was bullied. Seems like the trifecta for liberals. Bullying, Bigotry, and those evil guns.
  11. If it was the only saw I would have for a while I would be buying a cordless skill saw. Worm drive if available. If I am buying new into the cordless realm I prefer Milwaukee. Dewalt and Makita second. I have all of them, and a mitre is definitely nice, but you can cut so much more with a skill saw. Get a straight edge if you need longer cuts. Use a speed square to cut accurate 45’s if needed. Both is the best answer, but I would personally start with a good skill saw.
  12. I finally got my tractor so I could till my garden today. Another round tomorrow and planting everything. Better late than never I guess.
  13. Uh, where's the gun? Need to know if he is a 1911 or Glock guy (need to determine how good/bad his early judgement is).
  14. There was a guy in Spring Hill that had a business called Amendment 2 custom coatings or something like that. Not sure if they are still doing it, but may be worth a search and phone call. He did a rifle for me and it turned out good.

    @xsubsailor

Condolences to you and his family. RIP Chip.
  16. I bought a 3" Judge for that exact purpose. If I am just carrying around around my property, size isn't such a issue. It's not like you have to conceal it. I also just put a holster in my tractor so I don't have to wear it while on it.
  17. Agree, ready for my fair weather riding.
  18. I can't say that I have ever had mine stuck simply because of wet grass on a hill. Typically when you see zero turns stuck, I think it is more operator error. I don't know how many times I have seen guys trying to go through a ditch of some sort straight on. They get the rear stuck on the downslope. The biggest issue I think many have is thinking if I push the lever farther forward it will give me more power. Wrong. These things have plenty of torque, just keep the wheel moving and not spinning. I guess we all have our own experiences with them, but I don't know anyone personally who has bought a good zero turn and regretted it.
  19. Yes and no. It's more about steel gauge than just welding. Welded decks are good, but they also have squared corners etc. If you have to do any mowing in wet grass a quality stamped decked with rounded interior will clear (and not clump) and cut better than a square stamped deck. I am of course talking commercial grade mowers. That being said, the Bad Boy does have a welded deck on the mower he is referring to. It will clump in damp mowing conditions, but many mowers will. If I had to pick one thing I don't like about my Dad's, it has been the seat. It leans way back. Get the best seat they offer.
  20. I am one of those that would always recommend a commercial mower and kawasaki engine. That being said, my dad has had two Bad Boys and not had any issues with them. They are not a John Deere, Scag, etc, but his have run just fine for many years. He is pretty meticulous on maintenance. Bad Boy has quite a few models now. There is also a company called Spartan which was started by the guy that originally started Bad Boy that may be worth a look. There are thousands of them out there. If that was in the price range I wanted to stay in, I wouldn't be afraid of them.
  21. I had mine 5 years and it had to go to the dealer once. Like I said, I had the exhaust return turned off with my tune and it regenned a lot less than the stock setup so maybe that had to do with it, but I have nothing bad to say about the truck. I got 30 on the highway and averaged 27mpg. I won't say there aren't some that had issues, but I think they have gotten a bad rap based on my experience with one personally. I think when you go to a forum, it is typically for people to complain about something.
  22. And if you get it, let me know. I have some oil filters and a fuel filter you can have left over.
  23. Call Green Diesel Engineering and talk to them. They have a solution to help with a lot of this that won't affect your warranty. It isn't as good as mine was from them as I had a completely different ECU and swapped them out when I took it to the dealer, but they have newer EPA approved options that still work better than factory. https://greendieselengineering.com/product/ram-1500-ecodiesel-hot-tune-performance-fuel-economy/
  24. The items mentioned above can be fixed with a transmission tune update from GDE. It does make a big difference in shift points. I had all of that on mine from basically new so never gave it much thought.
  25. Go over to the ecodiesel forum and you will find all of the info you want. https://www.ram1500diesel.com/
