Thanks Mike, I shot a doe with it two days after I got it. The shot was 135yds, with the Hornaday 265 FTX, devastating. Its a hoot to say the least.

I like 'em just a little. First is a Puma Rossi .357, and my little Henry .22lr Then the 30-30s on the left a Marlin made in '75, in the middle is a Winchester model 94 Classic made in '66, and on the right a Winchester model 94 AE made in '81. Picked this one up last month, a .35 Rem, Sears Model 45 J.C.Higgins, made by Marlin in '61.

Probably not the best time in the world to be buying rimfires, but what the heck. I been wanting a .22 Mag. for some time now, and well back the first week of Jan. I was in one of the LGSs around here and found this little guy sitting there. Not having a lot of cash as Christmas jsut passing, I put it in layaway. Well I went and picked it up this past Sat. Its a Marlin 25MN Shoots prety good can pick off beer cans at 75yds pretty easily, especially for a half blind guy. Will be scoping it in the near future. Well did get a chance to shot it Sat. afternoon. We just shot it at 50 yds. Shot pretty good, shot a couple different loads I had and it seemed to like a IMR load the best.And hey, I've got about a lb. of it good place as any to start.

Ok, I just renewed my license, back at the first of Jan. Birthday Feb., and I have been kind of looking for .35 Rem lever action ever since I got this Savage pump action. Well I found this J.C.Higgins Model 45, and it was made by Marlin for Sears. Marlin used birch stocks in stead of walnut, a few others small things. Well it was made between '60 to '61. So its eligible, heck so the savings on the other wise, transfer fee, BC, and going after it, payed for its self already. Its not in bad shape at all for a 54 yr ole hunting rifle.
