  1. Just wondering. I've got a 1966 94 Classic with the octagon barrel that was suppose to be unfired when I bought it a year or so ago. I still haven't shot it either, as I also have a couple of other 30-30's and other lever actions that I shoot.
  2. Did you buy it? If so are you going to fire it?
  3. What xd said.
  4. Yeah! Everybody needs one....................or three.   Winchester 94 Classic  1966 Marlin 336                     1975                     Winchester 94 AE         1981
  5. Well I am going to start the season with my '03 sporter also in '06, and the Ruger BH in .41 Mag. in a shoulder holster just in case he comes by close. Also want to get another with my scoped SBH .44 Mag. I'm currently waiting on a new to me rifle to arrive, a hot rod 44 so to speak, probably first of next. (Marlin 444) Then it will get a chance to bloody something, really want to see what this can do.
  6. I'd have bought one for that.

Well without any enabling from ya'll, I will soon be the new owner of one of these. Its a Marlin 444SS, which is a Sporter Safety model. When it arrives I'll post some pictures, congrats to myself.

    Triple 4's

Ok, I think I want one of these, been looking at 'em for a couple of weeks now. What are ya'lls thoughts on these, do any of you own one? Do you like it? I reload so thats not an issue, I can find about all I need for that except cases at the moment. I like the fact that I can use some of the same .44 cal bullets that I load in the .44 Mag. Okay let the flaming begin.
  15. Hey 79, hate to be the one to break this to you but BOTH Giles and Perry countys are in Mid TN. Don't know of any WMA's in Carrol Co. but they usually harvest some big deer every year. Milan Arseanal Gibson & Carrol Co. maybe possible not sure, or of what hoops one may have to jump through to go there. But as xj showed before LBL has always had some nice deer. A good friend of mine took a NICE ten point there quite some years back there.
  16. Welcome from the west side, Jeff
  17. I'll have to agree with xj.
  18. I got them same.
  19. Should be some nice eatin, congrats.
  20. Have a BH and Vaquero in .45, they do shoot a little different, but I guess its more in the way you hold/aim each. My BH came as a converitble, .45 acp cyclinder also, and am lucky enough that it works fine in both. Mine are the 4 5/8's barreled models. I also have the 357/9mm BH with 4 5/8's and a 41 Mag with 6 1/2". I guess you could say I like Rugers, have a few more, a SBH, & a couple single-sixes.
  21. Only saw the usual squirrels and such. Heard a gobbler and an hen go back and forth for some twenty odd mins, that was neat, Then saw three gesse fly over. Pretty nice morning to just sit and listen to nature.
  22. I guess I'll ease up there for a few mins. I've got a couple of .22 revolvers that I am wanting to sell to fund some glass for a hunting rifle. Maybe find a few boolits while I'm at it.
  23. Any body going today.
  24. Thats about my luck too, Dave.
  25. Good luck to everyone hunting this mornin.
