I bought a Puma M92 in 38/357 a couple of months ago, mine is the SS model with thw 20in octagon barrel. Its not as smooth as I would like for it to be, but seems like the more I shoot it the smoother it is becoming. Very accurate, I took a deer with it this year. I will say that I will not be parting with it any time soon, actually probably never.

I'm like you Dennis, this year while deer hunting on a snowy day I saw my first cat. But didn't have time to even pick up the rifle, much less get a shot at it. I would love to get a chance at one some day.

Congrats on the venison, and the 35 is a good deer gun. I killed one of mine this year with a 35 Rem.

I like my 4-hole Lee turret press. I load 100% handgun ammo, and it works fine.

I got 2 boxes of the Winchester 333, 22lr, another mag for my Ruger MK III, a bottle of Jim Beam, and gift card. Still have to go to inlaws, next weekend, probably get another brick of 22's, thats what the FIL usually gets me. So I should be stocked up on 22's for awhile, besides I already have a couple of bricks in the safe now. lol. never to many right?

Sorry about your uncle. My dad got me started, he always had a rifle, and we did a little deer hunting. But a guy that I worked for was the one that really got me into guns. He always had some nice handguns, and was trading and buying, so I would say he had more of an influence in peaking my interest. Now I am just a gun nut, I like 'em big or small, h*ll I like 'em all.

I went this morning, didn't see a thing. My buddy missed a 6 pointer though, that was shortly before 7. I have killed three so far an eight during ML, and two does since gun season opened, one with my .357 Puma, and the otherwith my .41 Ruger BH.

I like hunting with hand guns, they are perfect for in the woods. I have Super BH.44 with 7 1/2" barrel and 2.5 x 6 varible, and .41 BH 6 1/2". With the .44 I can hit baseball size targets at 75 to 80 yds. regulary. At 40 yds. can cover 3 shots with a quarter repeatedly. Took a little scrub buck last year with the .44 at about 65yds. This year took a small doe opening day at 25 yds. with the .41, both with one shot, neither made another step.

lol, wd that sounds about right as I have heard. As for myself I have always been lucky enough to not have to hunt these. I have hunted a couple some years back on the state wide closed weekend in some of the non-quote hunts though.

I have seen some nice deer that have come from Chickasaw, but have never hunted it so I"m of no help. It is less than 30 miles from my house but I have always been lucky enough to able to hunt on private land. I do know that it usually pretty crowded on the opening weekend, but not to sure of later in the season.

Around here I see deer in the early morning, like the first hour of the day. Then around lunch, say 11 til 2, and then the last hour just before dark. Yesterday i had three does standing side by side about 60 yds. away and was going to see if I could get them all but the fourth one was staring right at me. So I just had to let 'em walk and besides I really didn't want to have dress them all. I've done pretty good so far this year, I got a average little eight pointer opening day of ML season about 7:15, a doe opening day of gun season with my .41 Blackhawk about 8:30, and last Saturday shot another doe 6:10. Yesterday a truely nice buck crossed the road about a 100 yds. from my driveway at 12 noon. Last weekend I went to Hardin county to help a friend, one of his buddies knew some people hunting in Perry county, and their game cameras showed that the deer were moving there between 11 and 2. A 15year boy killed a 14 pointer Sun. morn about 9:30. And the very next day his dads girl friend killed another hugh deer ( not sure of points) crappy phone picture, the next about the same time. So the weather may be the factor.
