  1.   There was always a bottle at the house. It had it's own particular smell that if you've ever had to take it, you would recognize immediately.   Seeing the cars that were new when we were teenagers, and wished we could afford, now have antique tags on them.
  2. WOW....I thought I got time-warped back into the bicycle thread.
  3. His son has been dead for awhile. His grandson has been with the organization for the last several years being groomed to take over. I haven't heard lately how far along in the process he has progressed.
  4. Hendersonville put out 2 cases of federal 9mm about 2 hours ago. $11.97 per box of 50. Also had some 45 federal out   -----------------------------------------------   WOW...Been a member for 6 years and just noticed I'm still a TGO Newcomer. Guess I need to post more and lurk less.  :)
  5.    Got that too. And the HD fees are already on the bill in plain sight. I'm waiting to see if it was just a blanket letter, or they try to stick an additional fee on there and hope I don't notice.
  6.    That's because there is no "soil" in LaVergne.  There's only whatever dirt that has settled on the rock over the past years, and what little the contractors brought in when they built the subdivisions.  Try "prickly pears" or cedar trees and you'll have better luck.    Back when I grew up out in the area, you could grow a garden as long as you didn't want more than tomatoes and cucumbers.    Varmint
  7. Something must have changed since I got mine. I was fingerprinted first, then turned in the application. The fingerprints were electronically on file.
  8. 9. A bunch of others must have departed from Springfield this morning. A long line of them got on I-65 at exit 108 this morning, going north.
  10. That's the rare"Movie" version of the 92. It evidently also fires with the safety on.
  11. At one time, I had every book that he had written, but gave them all away except the Sackett series. For other excellent reading try either Outlaw. By Warren Keifer or The Frontiersman. Alan Eckerd Both of them tie for second, right behind Lonesome Dove.
  12. Dont know about the pistol, but the " accessories" appear to be made in Brazil.
  13. It would also likely nullify his class. Didn't that happen a couple of years ago?
  14. The laws must have been different where you were at the time. You could buy a beer here your second year in. It didnt change to 21 until the early 80's. (Sorry, replying to Dave. This "Tapatalk" thing is still new fo me. Missed the quote button.)
  15. Blackberry 8350i for work, for the outlook email and the push-to-talk. EVO for personal use. After using the EVO for a few weeks, the Blackberry feels old and outdated. Sprint also has better plans.
  16. Speaking of temporary fixes, until you can get it looked at, why not just start the car for a few minutes on your day off to let the battery recharge?
  17. "Solaris" and "Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow" Money spent on both that would have come to better use lighting a fire.

    Dishwasher Help

The anchors do a lot more than that. Try opening the door, then pull the lower rack out with a full load of dishes and see what happens if it's not anchored. Copper is the best hookup, but never try to reuse a ferrule that has been compressed. Trying to save twenty cents can cost you a lot more. It can develop a small leak that will go undetected until it's too late, and you'll be replacing a floor. Make sure your drain hose loops higher than the bottom of your sink to create an air gap to prevent backflow. If you have a disposal, make sure the drain nipple is not partailly clogged. "Varmint"
  19. I live in White House too, and I haven't heard a peep about it either. I know the local paper runs behind on the news, but not THAT far behind. To add to the inaccuracies, I've worn a tool belt full a tools a time or two, and there are'nt many people that can't outrun you with it on. And the other, at 7:00 on a Thursday night, KFC usually isn't that busy because in my experience, they've normally run out of chicken by then.
  20. KahrMan, I believe you are half correct. There is a $10.00 per month "Premium Data Add-On" to whatever plan you are on, even if you are not in a 4G area. The "Mobile Hot Spot Capability" is an extra $29.99 per month that is optional. Varmint
  21. It doesn't actually have an issue date, just an expiration. Mine has the original expiration date, which is in August. So This one is good for 4 years and 4 months.
  22. 4/10 Renewal application mailed. 4/22 Received letter saying my app had been received. 4/22 Received notice that my permit will expire in a few months.??? (Evidently no inter-office communication.) 4/30 New permit received. 20 days including weekends.
  23. It's a lot easier if your baseboard and door frames are out of the way, but that may be a little deeper than you want to get into. Do however, take the time to go all over the existing floor, screwing it down with 2" screws before laying the new floor. It will eliminate a lot of the bounce, and all of the squeaking. Lay the underlayment one width at a time, and install flooring until you are one row away from the edge before laying the next width. Sweep FREQUENTLY. You'll be surprised how much dirt and grit accumulates in such a short time. Buy a couple of the "tapping blocks". A lot less edge damage. If you damage a piece during install, take it up immediately and replace it. You might fool yourself into thinking that it's not "that bad", and that you can live with it, but you will change your mind after another couple of rows, and it's a lot more work then. And last but not least, wear knee pads, or you'll regret it the next couple of days.
