I would say most people probably tip 2-3 bucks. That is probably average. I always tip a little bit more to appease my guilt for being a lazy fat ass and not doing it myself. There is no medical reason I couldn't park it myself except that I just don't want to. lol

The valet parkers at Vanderbilt are not allowed to accept tips. I always try to slip them a 5 though. $5 is usually my standard tip for all valets unless the weather is really nasty.

Guys, reread the story. The HCPer confronted the shoplifter in the parking lot. the HCPer then jumped into the passenger seat of the shoplifters vehicle. That was very stupid and dangerous. A HCP is not a license to be a cop or a vigilante. This HCPer was a dumbass and makes all HCP holders looks bad. It perpetuates he myth that we are all wanna be cops and want to shoot someone.
