  1. I like body cams I bought one and used it for a short while and it cleared me immediately from a complaint. Unfortunately I was then told I couldn't use it anymore.
  2.  Be responsible and know when it's time to draw and or use the firearm. Also invest in good holsters. If you prefer concealed find a holster that allows you to actually be concealed. If you want to open carry that's fine but please don't use those $5 nylon holsters.
  3. Yes you can be charge with DUI without a breathalyzer or blood test. Happens all the time people refuse to take the test and get charged with the refusal also. The .08 BAC limit is a presumptive level where the law assumes you are impaired. You can be DUI with under that level but typically you see someone who is hammered with a low BAC or has drugs in their system along with it.   To the OP there is no limit on how much alcohol you can have in your system and be in possession of a handgun. Any is illegal along with any controlled substances. If you are grown you take your own chances. I prefer to drink my occasional beer at the house away from all the idiots out and about.
  4.  The TN DHS was a separate department until a few years ago and it got placed under TN DOS and the name change came. Basically the only thing that happens for the homeland security portion is the suspicious activity reporting and sending bulletins for possible threats to LE. No THP black helicopters coming for your guns.
  5.  They call orders of protections "ghetto evictions" because they know that once it's served they are booted from the house. Many won't prosecute but claim they must have the order of protection. No judge will refuse an ex parte order of protection. This isn't all people but seems to be getting more normal everyday.
  6.  Nothing new. It happens when their is a gang problem out of control. Feds join up to pursue federal charges on the gang bangers to get them off the streets since most state courts are a joke. They won't be patrolling the streets more than likely the task force officers will be tagging along with certain murder and gang investigations so the case can be presented to the U.S. Attorney for prosecution.
  7.  I would be surprised if USAA gave you any problems on the repair. As far as the idiot he was probably dumb enough to leave something either with his name on it or a relative's name on it in the car or told EMS something close to his real information. A few misdemeanors but if I had to guess he was probably on probation and looking at getting violated. Good luck on the repairs (yourself and the vehicle).
  8.  I read all that and I caught myself thinking there's movie rental places still?
  9.  I would contact an attorney on the forum if you want one. You pay for a background on yourself and it should contain the arrest and disposition history. If you were never arrested then there is nothing to expunge point blank. This makes me think you were charged and maybe charges were dropped or some other sentence and maybe you were confused on the outcome, wouldn't be the first time. Also to get a charge expunged I believe you will need to go through the court it occurred in. Good luck either way.
  10.    This. We can only hope we are just lucky enough to be somewhere either to deter something or catch someone in the act. There way more robberies happening in Davidson County and surrounding areas that people don't know about or doesn't make the news.
  11. You would need to look at TN state jobs on the state's human resources website. I'm sure they have several mechanics on top of using TDOC inmate workers. I'm pretty sure the mechanics aren't THP specific but work for Dept. of General Services.
  12. I think you got bit by auto correct.
  13. I would like to read the affidavits from the search warrants. As it stands it sounds like at most they may have an ethics violation which isn't a criminal violation. But when you get agencies with three letter names involved all sorts of stupid stuff starts happening. Either way I think he will be in a new job come election after all this and a group trying whatever they can to dig something up to smear him.
  14. You could use a taser when you can't use a firearm. They are not even considered the same level of force. If you can use OC spray in self defense you could use a taser/stun gun. If you get some sort of ECW I would advise against a stun gun. Any thing you have to physically keep contacting the bad guy with while fighting won't work well. I've been there with tasers trying to drive stun while fighting they just move and you loose contact. You need something that discharges probes. You need to keep distance to get a good spread or you don't get good neuromuscular incapacitation and have to basically follow up with a close stun to complete a circuit across muscle groups.

    First Amendment

He can legally burn a flag if he wishes but I think he did it to get attention. He is getting some attention alright maybe not the kind he wanted.
  16.  Didn't this happen in 2013? Did it happen again or is someone just trying to hype people up again.   EDIT: I did some searching and it was proposed in 2013 by the same person and went nowhere. I'm sure it's the same bill. For Sam1 the exemption was for firearms purchased for use by LE departments not just joe blow who has a badge doesn't get taxed. But the last bill wanted to require you to prove insurance before a purchase. What a crock of shat. Odds it won't make it anywhere again and even if it did I'm sure it would be ruled unconstitutional.
  17. http://www.1800donatecars.com/. I just remember the Heritage for the Blind commercials from the radio. Don't know anything about them but if you are just trying to offload the vehicle it may work for you.
  18. Well when you hit one with a car and then back up again over it that tends to happen.
  19.  An AR15 took care of the job at a former house.
  20. McGuire's irish pub. I know they have locations in Destin and Pensacola but I have only been to the Destin location we go atleast one time most times twice every year we go down there.
  21. Seems like many people go around 20%. It usually looks good.
  22.    As much as it be far fetched it isn't the gov's fault the company wants money for a product. You could always go to a library if they have the TCA and read them. The State of TN doesn't print them or send them out LexisNexis does and they charge money for the books and the yearly additions to keep updated.
  23. No link unfortunately. You have to actually read it in the book. The large law books the complete sets you see usually in an attorney's office or police department containing all the subsections and some court ruling formation. So one law make take multiple pages in a book. It's crazy but they don't post it all on the free site but I know LexisNexis has some of those books online pay to download.
  24. Now they show it for $884.
  25. The actual expanded TCA (big book version) says 35% VLT on front windows of any vehicle. A multi passenger vehicle (vehicle with a rear seat or 2nd row or more can have below 35% on the windows rearward of the front seat. So single cab trucks can only have 35% on all windows. As far as the shade band only the factory shade band can go to 70%. Also the VLT, consist of the tint film amd the window frosting so a factory window is typically not 100% and when you apply 35% film you will be below the legal limit.
